A unique opportunity to purchase a serious competition horse. Topthorn Skylark (Sky) was professionally backed and ridden away in March 2023. She has been given time to develop and has not been rushed. She has had a varied education, traveling to Liverpool with my daughter during term time, going to multiple jumping, pole and dressage clinics.
Sky hacks out alone and in company, is schooled regularly, and shows a natural ability for jumping. She is extremely bold to a fence with a willing attitude.
Sky has 3 elastic paces and would also excel in dressage. She competed at Somerford Park, winning both her tests on 67% despite it being her first time competing and seeing boards. She has a jumpers change and is starting her lateral work.
My daughter has taken her to multiple clinics and has competed Showjumping up to 95cm, coming in the top 5 in her first SJ competition. She is forward and brave to a fence, is not phased by fillers or atmosphere and makes a beautiful shape over a fence. Sky is schooling at 1.10 with ease, with the potential to go much higher.
Sky has been xc schooling at Tweseldown and Somerford Park, where she saw ditches, steps and water - it was like she had done it all before. She has the potential to be an extremely smart eventer.
Sky is a homebred with excellent breeding (Jigilo/ Jumbo), is easy to handle away from home, having been competed/ taken to clinics by my daughter alone.
Great traveller, easy to do at shows an old head on young shoulders.
Sky has no lumps or bumps and is up to date on her vaccines. No medical history and open to any vet. She has physio regularly and is fit and ready to go.
Sad sale due to the pressure of university. No time wasters or novices - this is a talented competition horse and we would like to see her excel in the right home.
