Chucky is an 8yo very special, honest, genuine Connemara. He has done a few BE 90's gaining 6 foundation points as a 4 and 5yo

He has 27 BD points in very few outings gaining up to 69% in novice tests. He competed in the pony club area jumping and dressage competitions being placed individually and as a team

He has taken part in pony club rallies and pony club camp so can be vouched for by most of the Woodland Pytchley committee members.

Chucky has hunted with the Woodland Pytchley and The Pytchley Saturday country jumping timber and hedges proving to be very polite

He is hunted in a snaffle and will stand and wait with the field or go out on point alone

Chucky is cleaned limbed and straight moving with uphill even paces

King Chucky was bought as an unbroken 3yo and has been carefully and professionally produced with the aim to be a future top class competition pony

His riders have sadly outgrown him

George has lived with us for 5 years and both my girls have learnt so much from him. He has done all pony club activities, ode, SJ, fun rides, hunter trials, and competed at national level dressage with his previous owner. He rarely comes home without a prize and my daughters have both had lots of success and lots of fun. The only thing George doesn't enjoy is hunting.

George is excellent in all traffic, to clip, catch, load. He will hack alone or in company and has always been looked after by my children since they were 8. He is excellent with other farm animals, chickens, dogs, cats etc.

George is rising 17 but you'd never know it other than he knows his job. He is very well mannered, has truly excellent paces, and a terrific jump. He would suit a competitive child from around 9/10 upwards to teach them everything. He will pop round a 1'3 course in a lovely rhythm or push up several levels if required to jump around 2'9 for a more experienced rider.

He is the perfect schoolmaster as he knows his job but he is not a kick a long type for a nervous child (although my youngest was only just 8 and very much a passenger, we just took it gently to start with). He is responsive, obedient and well schooled and jumps all fillers, water trays, ditches, banks, water etc.

I have loads of videos of George with both girls doing all sorts at all the various levels. He comes with full wardrobe but I have put his price lower than he's worth as he has been out in the field for 3 months due to my daughters injury (nothing to do with George)!

He has had shoes put on today and will start being gently ridden this week.

STILL LOOKING WANTED - A potential RIHS / HOYS standard WHP for a super little jockey who is taught by Samantha Darlington.

Ruby has only just turned 11 but tall for her age and very slim. Ideally, we are looking for a big chunky 13hh or possibly a 14hh but if we go to a 14hh it must be very easy and not too heavy or strong. She has had a year on a 13hh but he is finely built and now outgrown. We would be interested in a native or plaited pony or ideally one that could do both jobs. Or if it will only do one whp class if it could also do flat classes that would be ideal.

Looking for a pony that 'must' have jumping experience (please no complete novices that have only popped a couple of jumps) but it doesn't necessarily have to have competed as a whp. But most importantly genuine, easy and honest to be a little girl's best friend.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police

Spots (Banana Boy) is a great all rounder who has the potential to compete in any discipline. Spots qualified the 138cm Silver League Final at the British showjumping Finals 2015 to compete for East Midlands after being in the top 2 in the area. He also qualified the scope novice masters. His won Foxhunter and Newcomer classes. He has all his double clears for Discovery second rounds 2016 and is ready to compete with another rider.

Spotty would look after a young rider in smaller classes and happily step down a level. He would need a more experienced rider to fill his full potential as he has no end of scope so could go to the top.

Spots has been to pony club camp and taken part in all activities, excelling in all. He competed for Pony Club in Burghley horse trials 2015. His also taken part in many hunter trials with no end of clear rounds, happy to do water, ditches, etc.

Spots is easy to handle and is safe with children.

He could definitely excel in eventing with the right rider to take him on, but could also go to the top showjumping as his already shown lots of scope and potential.

Low mileage this year due to my daughter moving of 138's and massively outgrown but reluctant to sell. Reduced for a quick sale as being wasted here.

WANTED - BE / PC Schoolmaster / mistress for Competent Teenager

Must have proven track record at BE100 / PC Intermediate Level

  • Suitable for teenager to handle on the ground
  • Safe to hack alone and in company and good in traffic
  • No health issues - sound and vice free

We are looking for a small horse for my teenage daughter to BE and do Pony Club. She had a season competing at BE90 in 2015 on a experienced 14hh schoolmistress. We bought a new horse in January last year to take her on to BE100 but unfortunately due to injury, this horse is out of action for the foreseeable future, so we are looking for a lovely new horse that she can compete in all disciplines. We have been looking since September last year and are beginning to lose hope that we are ever going to find something suitable! My daughter is desperate to get back out and have some fun.

Our perfect horse would be:

  • Maximum 16hh
  • No younger than 7. Preferably 8 - 12 years old but would consider something older.
  • Sound, injury free and with no health issues.
  • Must have solid and consistent BE record up to at least BE100.
  • Must be a schoolmaster type, suitable for a teenager and forgiving of rider errors.
  • Completely safe on the ground and under saddle - no rearers, spinners, buckers etc.
  • Safe to hack out alone and in company and good in traffic.

If an overgrown Connemara meets the above criteria that would be perfect! We ABSOLUTELY want a schoolmaster. Please only get in touch if your horse meets our criteria. My daughter is a kind, sympathetic rider and will receive weekly training. Sensible budget and knowledgeable, caring 5* home awaits. References available. Please email me, or call 07778 921395. Very happy to travel for the right horse.

Tippy is a fabulous 148, she is a grey mare, but not marish one bit, she hasn't got a bad bone in her body. Tippy is a winning machine, fast against the clock and can turn on a sixpence, she is neither strong or quirky. tippy is real confidence booster.

Tippy has won upto Foxhunter (110/115) and placed in members cup (115/120), furthermore she also schools round 130 courses like they are nothing. tippy is still in Newcomer, and has jumped Newcomer second rounds, eligible for winter JC's. Alternatively tippy has done has done all Pony Club activities from camp, gymkhanas etc.

Tippy could easily do BE90+ as she has 3 lovely paces, not phased by nay cross country jump but she also excels in showjumping. However in a field tippy can get strong, she will never bolt off, but can get strong but not majorly as you are still able to pull her back up.

Tippy never bolts, bucks, rears etc she is so safe. furthermore a very novice 6 year old has taken her to shows away from home off the lead rein jumping upto 50cm and tippy has looked after her the whole way round, she is so safe, and just loves to please her rider. Tippy Is not phased by any vehicle, and is amazing to hack, clip, shoe etc.

Registered Dartmoor. Three lovely paces, with a temperament to die for. This pony has been competing with a tiny 11 year old for the last 18 months, giving her a huge amount of confidence in PC, SJ, hunting, rallies, XC, school teams, dressage and unaffiliated SJ at 80cm.

Very sadly moving up a gear now, so needs to finance a new pony. Sinbad is a competitive pony who loves his job and getting the red ribbons. On the other hand, he makes an excellent LR pony, who can quietly point his toes around the show ring, or LR with small child.

He is always placed in Handsome gelding and loves to dress up for the fancy dress classes.

Hacks alone and in company. Is safe and flashy. Off the lead rein he would suit a competent child, as he’s very competitive.

This pony would excel in mounted games, as he’s very quick against the clock. Comes with bridle and rugs.

Easy to catch, clip, box and shoe. Open to vetting. Up to date with teeth, feet and jabs.

Home more important than price.

Kyte (Thorneyside Tornado) has been with me for 9 years but needs to move to a new home due to family commitments and my injury.

Kyte has hunted, evented, showjumped and more recently become a dressage diva. He evented very successfully at 90/100cm before starting his dressage career. He is established at BD Medium, qualifies with ease for Regionals and has competed at Regionals at Novice to Medium. He was due to start his Advanced Medium training this winter but my injury has prevented this.

Kyte still loves to jump. He is a true schoolmaster, jumping anything in a great rhythm. He has only ever been jumped in a snaffle and never needed a martingale. We have used a double bridle in dressage training and he goes well in one.

He is currently competing BD Novice/Elementary with a 15 yr old who only rode him twice before taking him to his first outing where he qualified for NPS Championships. She is learning lots from him because he is so rideable and trainable. He is achieving U25 qualifying scores. Kyte could progress in dressage as we are sure his changes will come with ease, he would make a perfect BYRDS pony or could be a PC red rosette machine.

Now for the ‘buts’:

Kyte does not like to travel on his own, I always take a pony with him and then he travels like a dream.
He used to jump over his stable door – he hasn’t done this for several years but if I stable him at a show I ask for a stallion stable just in case.
He has been known to take a dislike to the odd gelding in his field and will chase them. He is currently turned out in company but does turnout alone.
Easy to manage as long as you know him – dead easy to ride!
