This is a once in a life time opportunity to ride such a gentleman of a pony, who will be the best companion for either a young rider wanting to event and learn the ropes on a bigger pony, or also a small adult looking to event at BE90 / 100.

Caspar is an 8 year old with a better head on him that most 15 year old horses. He has been with me since he was only 3 and has never put a foot wrong, never refused and never bucked or misbehaved in any way . He has is a true gentleman who is endlessly forgiving and tries his heart out at every challenge presented to him.

Caspar is a forward thinking pony who naturally has 3 balanced, floaty paces and a lovely light contact. His lateral work is well established and can do walk pirouettes, shoulder ins, travers and leg yields in all three paces. He is also very bright and can pick up new skills very quickly. He has competed multiple times for NSEA dressage with a p.b. of 73% in a novice dressage test and often gets placed at unaffiliated outings.

Caspar adores his jumping and at home jumps courses of 1m05/1m10 and has a very adjustable canter so can easily cover pony and horse distances. He is so forgiving and will take off on any stride, and is never phased by fillers or water trays.

Cross country is by far his favourite of the three phase, and in his eventing career has never had any cross country faults and never been fussed by ditches, step ups, trakehnas, water, skinnies etc. He has a fantastic ground covering canter and thrives off more challenging combinations.

Caspar has been placed twice but now has potential to be winning events as his dressage has come so far. Recently I have only kept him at BE90 as he is still young and I don’t want to over phase him or ruin such a talented pony, although I do believe he has the scope and intelligence to move up to BE100. He is also obviously still eligible for Grassroots and definitely has the potential to qualify. I have been lucky enough to be trained by top riders, such as Joy Dawes who has compete at 4* multiple times, Steve Hadley who says “he is a pony who’s potential is not to be underestimated”, and Jade Derby who says “ he is a pony in a million”.

Caspar is an all round amazing pony and is by far the yard favourite. He has taught me everything there is to know about riding and introduced me to the amazing world that is eventing, unfortunately I have made the step up to horses and it is time for him to teach another child what he taught me. Eventing is his preferred discipline but he could excel in any area. Although I have personally never done anything pony club related, he would fit into a pony club home very well. He honestly doesn’t have any vices and is always eager to please.

This is a once in a life time opportunity to ride such a gentleman of a pony. However, he is not a beginners ride so would need someone that is looking to move onto bigger ponies but is already a relatively well established rider. Due to how special this pony is, it is necessary that he goes to a 5 star home where he is loved and cherished for the gem he is.

We would ideally like too keep him relatively close to home, (South West) as it is such a heartbreaking sale for us and we would like to stay in contact.

We bought Dessie two and a half years ago to do WHP, NSEA and start her BE90 career with Polly, then aged 12. In that first season together they were part of the winning SJ School team at Royal Windsor and the 100 JwS Team at the NSEA Championships. Although consistent at county level WHP, Polly decided that she wanted to go eventing. Since their first BE in July 2015, Dessie has never let us down.

Having built a strong, consistent record at BE100 we decided to give the Pony Trials a go. She started the season in fantastic form and performed way beyond our expectations. There have been ‘blips’ along the way, but we truly believe that with the right jockey and support team she can only get better and improve on this season’s results.

She continues to be a solid BE100 pony and has been selected to be on the South West U18 team at Frickley.

Dessie has the heart of a lion and tries her best to please. She is like a dog to deal with and straightforward to load, clip, shoe etc.

Dessie would suit a small, talented jockey who would like to be competitive at BEu18 and Pony Trials as well as excel on PC/NSEA teams.

This is an incredibly hard and heart-breaking decision but Polly is just too big for her, the balance is not there to jump the very big Novice/PT fences and we have decided to move on from ponies.

Dessie will be available to her new 5* knowledgeable home after Frickley u18 Championships (end July).

Leagaun Wild Boy is a Connemara x TB, grey, gelding.

Johnnie had jumped up to Foxhunter level with numerous clears and wins on his BS record in Juniors. He is now currently jumping 1m15 BS seniors with ease.

He started eventing in September 2015 with consistent double clears and very good dressage scores with numerous placings & a win at Larkhill 100 in the open section. He stepped up to Novice in August proving himself from the start with a double clear at Smiths Lawn.

This year, Johnnie has excelled further, performing exceptionally well in every novice and most recently in his first international CIC* at Brightling.

Johnnie has three fabulous paces. He is a very careful show jumper who wants to please and is a complete machine cross country. He jumps for fun. He is easy to do in every way, hack, clip, catch, load/travel. This pony has no vices, he is never sick or sorry and he has perfect manners.

(E at west wilts 10/06/17 for rider missing a fence)

5* home is very important.
