Biscuit is a very special pony that has been a pleasure to own for the last 3 years. She has been my daughters best friend and has never let her down.
She is an eventing star, is always on the top after dressage and loves the XC!!!

She is exceptionally well schooled and beautifully balanced, and has excelled in pure dressage at PC, NSEA and County level.

She has competed at Addington, Bury Farm, Stonar, Bicton, Hickstead and many other top equestrian venues, and takes it all in her stride. In fact the bigger the party the more fun she has!!! She is brilliant at travelling and staying away, settling in straightaway with her haynet!!!!

She has done BE with her previous owner at 80cm and 90cm with 6 FP, but my daughter is only just old enough this year to compete BE so she has never done it with us!

At home she is very straightforward, is kind and friendly, she will live in or out and is a very good doer!!!!!

She is brilliant to clip, worm and shoe (all 4's) - she doesn't kick, bite or buck, and is never parish. She has her teeth done and has her back checked at the beginning of every event season.

She is a chestnut mare and therefore not a novice ride and does require a level of competence - she needs a kind and understanding rider who wants to compete and win!!

She has been hunting and loved it!!! Quite a lot!!!

We ride her in a universal gag for jumping and loose ring snaffle for dressage.

She is fit and well, does not suffer from laminitis or sweet itch, and is ready to go!!!!

The only reason we are looking for a new home for her, is that my daughter is now far too tall for her and has moved on to a 16hand, and while I would love to keep her, she needs to be out competing and giving someone else the fantastic success we have had with her.

She will come with her tack and premier equine rugs, all her jumping boots and travel boots.e

She's fit and ready to go eventing this season, never looks at ditches, waters or skinnies. Very straight forward to do in every way including: to clip, shoe, catch, hack and box. Show Jumping - Whitehawk Crosby (Lennie) has a outstanding record Show Jumping having never consistently travelled the show circuit due to parents work commitments. He has been placed in his only 3 pony Premier shows this year, including being placed in a Winter JC at Addington and being placed in his only Newcomers second round (qualifying for the Masters at the BS Championships). He qualified for both Blue chip finals on his first attempt and has only done 3 shows this year when he has not been placed. Lennie was on a team for 2 Home Pony Internationals and has been placed in several 1.20 classes and jumped several 1.30+ jump-offs. Lennie has the potential to go a long way Show Jumping in the right hands. A real prospect for HOYS and the Winter JC Finals next year. Winnings 452 Notional points and & £792 actual.

Eventing - Lennie will make a top class event pony and could potentially be on any pony team in the world with the right rider. He has good movement and a very trainable brain. Unfortunately for him, his current rider does not like eventing and so he has not been properly prepared for many events and has yet reached anything like his true potential at this sport. Having said that, he was placed at Barbury novice doing a dressage test only 3 points worse than William Fox Pitt who went on to win the section. He was also placed at Weston Park pony trial and has his qualifying 6 clears around BE Novice events. He is an exceptional jumper both over show jumps and cross country and with the correct work will skip around any one star course with ease

General -This will be a hart-breaking sale as Lennie has been a member of our family since he was 3 years old. Our son has done everything on him, even broke him in to ride when he was only 11 years old. He is a lovely pony to do anything with and has a real enthusiasm for life and does his best in everything. He will be muched missed but James in far too big for him now so he needs to find a new person to have fun with and take on to new heights of success.

  • Noffy is a true gentleman, confidence giver and best friend.

We have had Noffy for nearly 5 years. He is now for sale as Eve is out of ponies and far far too tall! He took Eve from a nervous 90 jumper to Novice in half a season!

He will look after his jockey every step of the way in all aspects of life - at home or competing! He has the biggest heart and does everything with a smile on his face. Noffy has never had a XC faulting his life that was his fault ( Eve fell off at Lincomb and jumped the wrong side off a flag at Weston). He absolutely loves show jumping and has competed at PC and NSEA dressage.

He has not done as much as he should have done this eventing year due to Eve having her new horse and A levels. He has been to 3 BE100's and jumped double clear in all. He is in the form of his life at the moment - fit and ready to run. Noff should have found a new smaller younger jockey months ago but it is like selling your best friend. He is a pony of a lifetime that will only leave here to a 5 star home where he can teach a new jockey the ropes of eventing.

He is sensibly priced to the perfect home.

  • Amazing little lady
  • Tons of scope and straight forward to a fence
  • Has all the scope and trainability to be a Pony Trials contender

This amazing little lady is a 14.1 hand, five year old piebald mare with an outstanding attitude, I haven't come across many of these types in my career.

Betty really wants to do the job, she has three good paces, works well on the flat, is active and forwards without being at all strong and silly and has never said no to any fence she has been pointed at. She jumps all fillers and ditches water etc without a second glance.

She has tons of scope and is totally straightforward at any fence be it coloured or natural, she comes in in a good rhythm, forwards but completely snaffle mouthed at all times and will go off any stride - she  can sort herself out however you get her to a fence and will get you to the other side safely.

This super girl is wise beyond her years, when you sit on her over a fence she makes it all feel incredibly easy without throwing you around or hoofing you out of the saddle.

I am absolutely certain that she has all the scope and trainability to be a Pony Trials contender, in fact I don't think there are many ponies around that would be this easy and consistent in all three phases ( especially considering her age and the fact that she has been simply jollied around by her owner since she was broken, if she was to be professionally produced or brought on by an experienced young jockey then the sky is the limit)

Betty has a fab temperament, she is a jolly little girl, she has hunted, she hacks out well on her own and in company, she rides and leads, loads well and is good for the farrier and in traffic.

As a teenager I would have given up my pocket money for the rest of my life for a pony like this, and I can imagine, as a parent, this would be exactly the type of pony that you would want to buy for your child to bring on, get out and be competitive and all the while know that your young jockey would be having fun with a pony who gives her all in everything you ask.

She would also be a fantastic pony for a small adult to do all top level riding club competitions, she would be certain to qualify for all National Riding Club Championships. Certainly good enough to go move up through the grades BS and is a fantastic Badminton Grassroots prospect.

THIS PONY IS NOT TO BE MISSED!

I am selling Betty on behalf of a friend / client, we are based near Marlborough, SN4 9QF

Talented and genuine pony with a huge future and even bigger personality! I absolutely love this pony and bought him last year from his breeder in Ireland. He’s now ready for a competent child to take on.

He has already been admired by pony selectors at Oasby HT this spring.

He started the season at BE90 and has upgraded to BE100 easily. Schooled some Nov fences. Locks on well and doesn't tend to waver off his line. 3 out of 5 double clears this season (with only 1 pole in the other 2). Placed at Oasby but he hasn't been chased to get the time at this stage.

SJ he has a few double clears discovery (limited outings) with a 2nd last time out. Ready for 1.05m now and has been jumping 1.05 - 1.10 at home. I have been jumping him as a pony in senior classes because unfortunately I am 12 years too old!

Although not as progressed with his flatwork, he has the ability and is improving all the time. Started lateral work which has helped with connection and suppleness. Straight moving.

Could equally do WHP.

Hacks alone anywhere, travels well, I can clip him with no help at all including all of his face and ears, ride him bareback to and from the field, lived out most of last winter.

Hardy pony, never sick or sorry.

Currently based near Thirsk (North Yorks) although a move to Lincs is imminent if not sold before as we are moving house.

Freddie has been produced carefully and has outstanding potential in many spheres - He has an exceptionally neat and careful jump with a faultless technique over a fence

He has won and been placed in numerous open unaffiliated classes but has never been BS due to rider being out of juniors. He is therefore eligible for all novice classes upwards and is a fantastic prospect for all qualifiers

Freddie is very bold cross country and has a super Eventing record at 90cm (both BE and unaffiliated). He is now ready to move up to 100 classes. Excellent flatwork (won/placed pure dressage) and very honest to a fence

Freddie has never been shown but is undoubtably a HOYS WHP prospect in both M & M and plaited classes. Snaffle mouth all spheres

We have owned Rusty IV for just over 2 years. She has been a enjoyable pony for our son to ride and for us to have at home and at competitions. She has a great work ethic and a willingness to learn and develop. She hacks beautifully alone and in company where she is totally unspooky and uncomplicated. She is extremely easy to catch, clip, pull, plait, shoe and load. She can live in or out alone or in a group, can be turned out with mares and geldings.

Dressage is not her favourite pastime although she tries hard and she has improved significantly. Her dressage scores do not always reflect how hard she tries and the work she is producing at home. Show jumping is not our son's favourite thing but she is incredibly scopey and very careful rarely touching a pole. She adores cross country and has gone clear all year including four pony trials and has skipped round two BE100 courses.
She is very good for thinking for herself and sorting her feet out.

Out hunting Ollie has had some of his best days ever! She is easy and uncomplicated snaffle mouthed. She happily lead the field jumping Kingsclere's finest hedges and she also has fox hunted where she and Ollie were often called upon to be the jumping field master! Hunting references are available.

This is a very sad sale as Ollie is out of ponies and going to college. Rusty has given us two years of great fun and no trouble where she has given Ollie and the family some lovely days out. She is a very strong well built lady and would suit a taller teen that will keep kicking and she will keep going. Rusty is a tough, game, strong uncomplicated mare.

  • Previous Champion at NSEA and Blue Chip winner

We have owned Splash for 4 years and he has taken my daughter through the ranks of BSJA from novice to foxhunter and then onto BE going from BE90 to Novice in one season. He is a top class, competition winning pony.

Splash has been consistently placed in all disciplines with a huge number of wins over the last four years.
Very fast against the clock and extremely scopey show jumping.

He is a fearless XC machine, always jumping clear and usually within the time. Well schooled on the flat, scoring low 30s at BE novice and high 60s at BD elementary.

Will hack alone and in company, great on the roads or open countryside. Easy to clip, rug, teeth, shoes, vet, catch and loads easily in trailer or lorry.

Never lame or sick in all the time we have had him. Very low mileage as only really competed for the last 4 years. Open to any vet.

Back and teeth done regularly as you would expect for a competition pony of his calibre.

He can get a bit strong, but is always safe. He needs a competent, confident rider, to get the best out of him.

He is kind, willing and sensitive but not at all spooky to ride.

Only for sale as he has been sadly outgrown.

This pony is fit and ready to go to the right home.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
