Loves jumping, very bold nothing phases her and is quick across country and very adjustable.

Done show jumping, combined training, dressage and currently competing BE 90.

Loves to hack, on her own or in company and very good in open spaces.

Will live in or out, great to travel either trailer or lorry. Good with farrier, teeth and up to date with worming and vaccinations.

A very affectionate mare who always tries her hardest to please, snaffle mouthed and exceptionally easy to do the ground.

Not a beginners ride as still learning so no novices please.

  • Lovely genuine, kind and safe pony with Stunning Good Looks

Joey is the most lovely, genuine pony who tries his absolute best all the time. He has been produced completely by my 13 year old daughter who is the only person to event him. His BE records shows he has only had one pole all season and has jumped consistently clear xc at BE 90 except once when my daughter retired due to navigation issues! Last season he did all pony club activities at 80cm and 90cm. Jumping numerous double clears and being placed at all the hunter trials in the autumn at 80cm.

In the winter he jumped double clears arena eventing 90cm and began the season at Great Witchingham BE 90 with a lovely double clear. He is capable of a very good dressage test and it is getting better every day with Schooling. This pony has been given the time to develop and has not been rushed. He does the job because he is loves it and just wants to please. So far we haven't found his limit but he happily schools at home up to 110cm.

Most recently he did his first PC 100 ODE (Calvert Cup) where he jumped double clear on what was a very challenging 100 track. Flew up steps to triple skinny brush. He jumps ditches and water with no trouble.

He hunts beautifully and jumps everything you put him at. As a stamp he would be very successful as a working hunter, everywhere we go he gets compliments about his stunning good looks and laid back attitude.

This is a very difficult decision to make and my daughter is very sad as she has done all the work herself but she is eventing seriously at Pony Trials now and needs to focus on her other pony and she already has a horse who needs to get started. She is tall for her age and I don't think I can support 2 ponies next season.

The child who is lucky enough to get Joey will have the time of their life, he will only sold to a 5* home who would like to event or workers. Please no timewasters as this is a very sad sale for us all. (BE name Blakehill Joey)

Ifan is an 11yr old, dark bay gelding.

We have owned Ifan for 1 1/2 years and he is an absolute pleasure to own. He has taken my daughter from competing at BE 100 level to being longlisted for the 2017 Pony Europeans in that short time.

Ifan is an incredibly talented pony who really loves his job, he has given my daughter a huge amount of confidenence both SJ and especially XC as he is a real XC machine, he is as straight as they come and looks for the flags.

He has plenty of scope SJ over the big tracks and has jumped BS Pony Fox Hunter and Members Cup classes.

His flatwork just keeps getting better and improving each time out, he is working up to medium level at home.

This is a truly heart breaking sale of a very much loved pony but he is hopelessy outgrown as my daughter is 5'10!! and very sadly out of ponies at the end of this year.

Ifan has a fantastic future ahead of him and will give his next jockey the confidence to ride round any track.

Ifan is good to load, clip, shoe, hacks alone and in company. He has hunted with his previous owner.

Very smart chestnut gelding with flaxen mane and tail, suitable for mother child share, good to clip, box shoe and in traffic, would never buck or rear.

7 BE points, 161 BE Foundation Points, he has done Pony Trials for the last 4 years & would be a great safe schoolmaster at that level

Not done a huge amount last year or this year as have been concentrating on another pony and a new horse.

Would be fab to introduce someone to eventing.

MILLIE MAGIC

Ref #: 174392
£5,000
  • Coloured
  • Mare
  • 14 years
  • 14.2 hands

Very sad sale of the beloved Millie Magic. Millie is a machine she's rarely had cross country fault and is very careful. She's competed up to 1* and pony trialled last season, we were clear in the pony 2* at Weston park in 2015,she has scope to burn. She can be very strong XC but she's not dangerous or too fast. Millie is not a novice ride and would even suit a small adult.  She takes up the leg so don't worry if you have long legs. Sister is 5'10 and did the area showjumping last week on her.

I've done two U18 100's this season both clear XC and double clear in the latest one to come 5th.  She has been selected for BE U18 championships in both 100 and 1*.  However, we chose to do Weston Park Pony Trial instead of the 1* team and we have decided to concentrate on making the move onto horses this year so Millie has been doing mainly pony club this year.  She was on 5th placed intermediate team at the Area Show jumping last weekend.

She has jumped upto pony foxhunter and would make a top class show jumper with the right child.

Millie has been on all pony club teams and been to the championships nearly every year for last 5 years.  She is only not doing the eventing as I am riding my horse in the eventing team.
We are looking for a long term home where she will be looked after like a princess.  We will be very fussy as to where she goes and homes will be thoroughly vetted.  She is being so wasted here as she is fit and ready to go and we have too many ponies and horses as I have moved onto horses and only has time for 1 as I am at boarding school.

Millie is great fun to hack, she is good to clip, shoe, stands at the lorry with a haynet all day and is kind, gentle and has a huge heart.

Please no novices or tiny children as she is a real competition pony.

£5000 although right home and rider is more important than anything to us so please call.  We would love to give someone the chance to own a talented pony who might not have the big budget for one.

Talented and genuine pony with a huge future and even bigger personality! I absolutely love this pony and bought him last year from his breeder in Ireland. He’s now ready for a competent child to take on.

He has already been admired by pony selectors at Oasby HT this spring.

He started the season at BE90 and has upgraded to BE100 easily. Schooled some Nov fences. Locks on well and doesn't tend to waver off his line. 3 out of 5 double clears this season (with only 1 pole in the other 2). Placed at Oasby but he hasn't been chased to get the time at this stage.

SJ he has a few double clears discovery (limited outings) with a 2nd last time out. Ready for 1.05m now and has been jumping 1.05 - 1.10 at home. I have been jumping him as a pony in senior classes because unfortunately I am 12 years too old!

Although not as progressed with his flatwork, he has the ability and is improving all the time. Started lateral work which has helped with connection and suppleness. Straight moving.

Could equally do WHP.

Hacks alone anywhere, travels well, I can clip him with no help at all including all of his face and ears, ride him bareback to and from the field, lived out most of last winter.

Hardy pony, never sick or sorry.

Currently based near Thirsk (North Yorks) although a move to Lincs is imminent if not sold before as we are moving house.

Leagaun Wild Boy is a Connemara x TB, grey, gelding.

Johnnie had jumped up to Foxhunter level with numerous clears and wins on his BS record in Juniors. He is now currently jumping 1m15 BS seniors with ease.

He started eventing in September 2015 with consistent double clears and very good dressage scores with numerous placings & a win at Larkhill 100 in the open section. He stepped up to Novice in August proving himself from the start with a double clear at Smiths Lawn.

This year, Johnnie has excelled further, performing exceptionally well in every novice and most recently in his first international CIC* at Brightling.

Johnnie has three fabulous paces. He is a very careful show jumper who wants to please and is a complete machine cross country. He jumps for fun. He is easy to do in every way, hack, clip, catch, load/travel. This pony has no vices, he is never sick or sorry and he has perfect manners.

(E at west wilts 10/06/17 for rider missing a fence)

5* home is very important.

Show Jumping - Whitehawk Crosby (Lennie) has a outstanding record Show Jumping having never consistently travelled the show circuit due to parents work commitments. He has been placed in his only 3 pony Premier shows this year, including being placed in a Winter JC at Addington and being placed in his only Newcomers second round (qualifying for the Masters at the BS Championships). He qualified for both Blue chip finals on his first attempt and has only done 3 shows this year when he has not been placed. Lennie was on a team for 2 Home Pony Internationals and has been placed in several 1.20 classes and jumped several 1.30+ jump-offs. Lennie has the potential to go a long way Show Jumping in the right hands. A real prospect for HOYS and the Winter JC Finals next year. Winnings 452 Notional points and & £792 actual.

Eventing - Lennie will make a top class event pony and could potentially be on any pony team in the world with the right rider. He has good movement and a very trainable brain. Unfortunately for him, his current rider does not like eventing and so he has not been properly prepared for many events and has yet reached anything like his true potential at this sport. Having said that, he was placed at Barbury novice doing a dressage test only 3 points worse than William Fox Pitt who went on to win the section. He was also placed at Weston Park pony trial and has his qualifying 6 clears around BE Novice events. He is an exceptional jumper both over show jumps and cross country and with the correct work will skip around any one star course with ease

General -This will be a hart-breaking sale as Lennie has been a member of our family since he was 3 years old. Our son has done everything on him, even broke him in to ride when he was only 11 years old. He is a lovely pony to do anything with and has a real enthusiasm for life and does his best in everything. He will be muched missed but James in far too big for him now so he needs to find a new person to have fun with and take on to new heights of success.

FANTASTIC POTENTIAL FEI / PONY TRIALS SUPERSTAR!

HEEEREEES BETTY BOO!

  • Tons of scope and straight forward to a fence

  • Amazing little lady
  • Tons of scope and straight forward to a fence
  • Has all the scope and trainability to be a Pony Trials contender

This amazing little lady is a 14.1 hand, five year old piebald mare with an outstanding attitude, I haven't come across many of these types in my career.

Betty really wants to do the job, she has three good paces, works well on the flat, is active and forwards without being at all strong and silly and has never said no to any fence she has been pointed at. She jumps all fillers and ditches water etc without a second glance.

She has tons of scope and is totally straightforward at any fence be it coloured or natural, she comes in in a good rhythm, forwards but completely snaffle mouthed at all times and will go off any stride - she  can sort herself out however you get her to a fence and will get you to the other side safely.

This super girl is wise beyond her years, when you sit on her over a fence she makes it all feel incredibly easy without throwing you around or hoofing you out of the saddle.

I am absolutely certain that she has all the scope and trainability to be a Pony Trials contender, in fact I don't think there are many ponies around that would be this easy and consistent in all three phases ( especially considering her age and the fact that she has been simply jollied around by her owner since she was broken, if she was to be professionally produced or brought on by an experienced young jockey then the sky is the limit)

Betty has a fab temperament, she is a jolly little girl, she has hunted, she hacks out well on her own and in company, she rides and leads, loads well and is good for the farrier and in traffic.

As a teenager I would have given up my pocket money for the rest of my life for a pony like this, and I can imagine, as a parent, this would be exactly the type of pony that you would want to buy for your child to bring on, get out and be competitive and all the while know that your young jockey would be having fun with a pony who gives her all in everything you ask.

She would also be a fantastic pony for a small adult to do all top level riding club competitions, she would be certain to qualify for all National Riding Club Championships. Certainly good enough to go move up through the grades BS and is a fantastic Badminton Grassroots prospect.

THIS PONY IS NOT TO BE MISSED!

I am selling Betty on behalf of a friend / client, we are based near Marlborough, SN4 9QF

  • Several double clears at BE100

Veilo, (Farrell Hill Boy) is a talented eventing pony who is now sadly for sale as my daughter is 16, will soon have outgrown him and now wants to progress to something a little bigger. He is honest, confident, bold, but never unsafe and has had several double clears at BE100 and recently went clear XC around the BE105 at Offchurch Bury.

He has the potential to take someone to Pony Trials or to Novice for a young adult rider. A rider injury (not horse related) and a focus on GCSEs meant that Pony Trials weren't for us but we have laid the ground work for his new owner. Veilo has attended numerous pony training sessions and camps and with the right rider, he has the potential to go far.

Last season he was campaigned fully at BE100.

His flatwork is constantly improving and he had a 31 2 weekends ago. He also achieved a 35 in the novice test at Offchurch Bury. His paces are beautiful and is always noted to be very promising. He is also established in the basics of medium and lateral work.

His showjumping is very strong and any errors on his record are that of the rider. He has had several clears and has jumped up to 1.20 at home. He has also taken part in BSJA Pony newcomers and foxhunter on a ticket. He is forward but never strong and will jump off any stride asked of him.

XC is his strongest area - excelling around even the most technical and challenging of courses. The only blemishes on his record for XC are from my daughter's learning and improving. There isn't a fence that we have ever had issues with and will jump anything placed in front of him. He is always looking for the flags. He has schooled around fences up to Intermediate too.

Away from the competition circuit, we have taken Veilo to Arena Eventing, Interhunt relays and Hunting. He represented our Pony Club at the Area Intermediate Eventing last year.

Good to do in all ways and never difficult to manage. Travels very well in trailer or lorry and will stay away without issue. Veilo can hack alone or in company.
Veilo is very talented and needs a confident, relaxed rider. We want him go to a home where he can continue to learn and grow and really excel as the eventing competition pony he is.

He has been well cared for in a loving home with a high quality diet and is up to date with everything. He is checked by an equine physiotherapist once a quarter and is always in fantastic shape.

We can provide references from instructors.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. It is very important to us that he goes to an excellent home with the right rider. We will be very to say good bye to him.

There is the possibility of including a 6 month old Kate Negus bridle and breastplate and 18 month old Exselle monoflap jump saddle in the sale.
Plenty more photos and videos are also available on request.

Rocky has done it all; Hunted, SJ, BE, Pony Club, dressage, NSEA, WHP, M&Ms. He is a true all rounder.

He is an extremely clean, careful and safe jumper - a solid, straight forward, sensible pony who is the same whether ridden every day or once a week.

Would suit a hunting family with a child looking to do well across all disciplines and be competitive at BE90/100 and Pony Club teams in SJ, dressage or eventing, at Novice or Intermediate level. With his previous owner he completed the Pony Club Champs Intermediate Eventing.

Qualified BE100 Regional Final for Mitsubishi Cup 2018.

We bought Rocky a year ago to campaign in BE100s with the aim of taking him Pony Trialling. Despite having the most amazing ability and scope, he just doesn’t believe it himself and failed to record the same consistency at BE Novice / PT level.

Polly has grown too tall and has now decided to move on from ponies and we are looking to find a special family home and young jockey who can really appreciate Rocky’s talent.

Rocky is vice free and good to load, clip, shoe etc.

We bought Dessie two and a half years ago to do WHP, NSEA and start her BE90 career with Polly, then aged 12. In that first season together they were part of the winning SJ School team at Royal Windsor and the 100 JwS Team at the NSEA Championships. Although consistent at county level WHP, Polly decided that she wanted to go eventing. Since their first BE in July 2015, Dessie has never let us down.

Having built a strong, consistent record at BE100 we decided to give the Pony Trials a go. She started the season in fantastic form and performed way beyond our expectations. There have been ‘blips’ along the way, but we truly believe that with the right jockey and support team she can only get better and improve on this season’s results.

She continues to be a solid BE100 pony and has been selected to be on the South West U18 team at Frickley.

Dessie has the heart of a lion and tries her best to please. She is like a dog to deal with and straightforward to load, clip, shoe etc.

Dessie would suit a small, talented jockey who would like to be competitive at BEu18 and Pony Trials as well as excel on PC/NSEA teams.

This is an incredibly hard and heart-breaking decision but Polly is just too big for her, the balance is not there to jump the very big Novice/PT fences and we have decided to move on from ponies.

Dessie will be available to her new 5* knowledgeable home after Frickley u18 Championships (end July).

Masses of photos and videos available.

Full up 14.2hh

STENIGOTS RED D'ABLO is a fantastic and genuine pony. He is a real family favourite. He is 100% in everything he does, genuine, honest, sound and kind. Dibble is a very talented pony with the matching temperament. He moves beautifully and does a wonderful dressage test when navigated correctly (jockey often forgets his way!)

He took my son off a 13h2 doing PC 90s, to BE Novice and Pony Trialling in 10 months when Henry was only 12 years old. Last year, dibble was really carrying Henry around.

Henry has done BE Novice and Pony Trials on this pony at only a 12 and 13 year old, gaining double clears, and a huge amount of experience and fun. Unfortunately  Henry just keeps growing!

We have owned Dibble for more than 3 years, and the first competition that my 11 year old son did on him after only 2 weeks, Stonar school 90cm ODE, they won easily being the only dressage in the 20s and double clear.

In 2016 Henry and Dibble were individual 4th in their section at the Pony Club Championships. He is a lovely pony that will do as he is asked and more. Many places also at pony club and school events and show jumping.

He is a real school master, and suitable for either a child as a school master / aiming for European team PT pony / or just a fantastic pony club pony. He has been placed and won many rosettes in everything he does – straight dressage / eventing / show jumping and even working hunters. He does it all and has it all. He is also lovely for mummy – a dream to look after and gorgeous to hack out

He has loads of jump and is as brave as a lion xc. He has a big long stride, so makes the distances easily and can easily make the time ( at Aldon this year unfortunately got times faults for going too quick – they would have come 5th if Henry  had mastered the use of his watch!). He is forward going, but not strong nor fizzy.

Although Henry is only 13/14 years old, he has totally outgrown ponies – he is almost 5ft11 and 11 stone – just too much to carry around these large courses.

Many more pictures and videos at home.

  • Noffy is a true gentleman, confidence giver and best friend.

We have had Noffy for nearly 5 years. He is now for sale as Eve is out of ponies and far far too tall! He took Eve from a nervous 90 jumper to Novice in half a season!

He will look after his jockey every step of the way in all aspects of life - at home or competing! He has the biggest heart and does everything with a smile on his face. Noffy has never had a XC faulting his life that was his fault ( Eve fell off at Lincomb and jumped the wrong side off a flag at Weston). He absolutely loves show jumping and has competed at PC and NSEA dressage.

He has not done as much as he should have done this eventing year due to Eve having her new horse and A levels. He has been to 3 BE100's and jumped double clear in all. He is in the form of his life at the moment - fit and ready to run. Noff should have found a new smaller younger jockey months ago but it is like selling your best friend. He is a pony of a lifetime that will only leave here to a 5 star home where he can teach a new jockey the ropes of eventing.

He is sensibly priced to the perfect home.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
