Well bred Connemara X ISH. Extremely sad sale of a super pony.

Blue started eventing (had never done XC or dressage before) last year and has shown his talent by going from Intro to CCI* in one year.

He is a machine XC and very brave, never looks at water, ditches, steps etc. Forward but not strong. He went clear inside the time at Tattersalls International in his first ever CCI* and has double clears at cncp**.

He has showjumped double clear at 1.20 with his previous owners and numerous clears at 1.10. 117 SJI points to date. Very scopey and brave, never stops.

He has lots of potential in dressage but due to being green this year hasn't reached his potential, has the ability to do a super fei dressage test. Very flashy with great paces, very intelligent and willing to learn.

Tough, sound pony. No vices and well mannered. For sale as rider moving onto horses.

MILLIE MAGIC

Ref #: 174392

  • Consistantly selected for all PC teams
  • Show jumps Foxhunters

Very sad sale of the beloved Millie Magic. Millie is a machine she's rarely had cross country fault and is very careful. She's competed up to 1* and pony trialled last season, we were clear in the pony 2* at Weston park in 2015,she has scope to burn. She can be very strong XC but she's not dangerous or too fast. Millie is not a novice ride and would even suit a small adult.  She takes up the leg so don't worry if you have long legs. Sister is 5'10 and did the area showjumping last week on her.

I've done two U18 100's this season both clear XC and double clear in the latest one to come 5th.  She has been selected for BE U18 championships in both 100 and 1*.  However, we chose to do Weston Park Pony Trial instead of the 1* team and we have decided to concentrate on making the move onto horses this year so Millie has been doing mainly pony club this year.  She was on 5th placed intermediate team at the Area Show jumping last weekend.

She has jumped upto pony Foxhunter and would make a top class show jumper with the right child.

Millie has been on all pony club teams and been to the championships nearly every year for last 5 years.  She is only not doing the eventing as I am riding my horse in the eventing team.
We are looking for a long term home where she will be looked after like a princess.  We will be very fussy as to where she goes and homes will be thoroughly vetted.  She is being so wasted here as she is fit and ready to go and we have too many ponies and horses as I have moved onto horses and only has time for 1 as I am at boarding school.

Millie is great fun to hack, she is good to clip, shoe, stands at the lorry with a haynet all day and is kind, gentle and has a huge heart.

Please no novices or tiny children as she is a real competition pony. Would also suit a small adult as she can do everything a horse can do but better!

£5000 although right home and rider is more important than anything to us so please call.  We would love to give someone the chance to own a talented pony who might not have the big budget for one.

WE have owned Alfie since he was 4 and although only 7 he is ready to move into pony 2* eventing having 2 wins already at pony 1* Alfie is an exceptionally talented pony and is training around challenging 2* courses with ease, he is a naturally forward going pony who covers the ground well and skillfully tackles whatever is put in front of him.

He has been clear SJ in his last 7 outings and is registered with SJI grade C although we have mainly concentrated on eventing which he excels at, he can turn his hoof to all disciplines with excellent dressage scores, wins in working hunter, showing and a member of pony club!

He is an eye catching handsome boy with natural flowing paces. He will happily stand in lorry or horse box for hours at events and behaves impeccably.

Alfie has excellent breading going back to INDOCTRO and GREAT PLEASURE his sire Wivollet Vanbeek is currently competing at a high level in SJ and eventing and Alfie is following in his dads footsteps.

Alfie knows he is gorgeous and talented a pure competition pony who enjoys competing at a high level, he has never had an injury or been lame or sick he is the fittest pony we have ever owned and is ready to take his new rider to the next level and is certainly a contender for Europeans

Ifan is an 11yr old, dark bay gelding.

We have owned Ifan for 1 1/2 years and he is an absolute pleasure to own. He has taken my daughter from competing at BE 100 level to being longlisted for the 2017 Pony Europeans in that short time.

Ifan is an incredibly talented pony who really loves his job, he has given my daughter a huge amount of confidenence both SJ and especially XC as he is a real XC machine, he is as straight as they come and looks for the flags.

He has plenty of scope SJ over the big tracks and has jumped BS Pony Fox Hunter and Members Cup classes.

His flatwork just keeps getting better and improving each time out, he is working up to medium level at home.

This is a truly heart breaking sale of a very much loved pony but he is hopelessy outgrown as my daughter is 5'10!! and very sadly out of ponies at the end of this year.

Ifan has a fantastic future ahead of him and will give his next jockey the confidence to ride round any track.

Ifan is good to load, clip, shoe, hacks alone and in company. He has hunted with his previous owner.

Frogertie (stable name Emily) is in our opinion the ultimate event pony school mistress. She has been with us for 18 months and she has taught my daughter so much and this will be a very sad Sale indeed - but Emily now needs to help another young rider to start their eventing career.

She always does a good dressage test (low 30s High 20s) and has helped my daughter make the transition from pure showjumping to eventing. She has 6 BD points from a previous rider and would easily do pure dressage again. Emily is brave and bold XC but not strong. She tackles all XC fences easily including water, skinnies and ditches.

Emily is a kind, sensitive pony who gives everything to her rider once she trusts them. She is NOT a novice ride as she is sensitive . Emily has attended pony club camp this year. She is good to hack alone or in company. She travels well and is good with the farrier. She does need sedating for clipping.

He is an extremely clean, careful and safe jumper - a solid, straight forward, sensible pony who is the same whether ridden every day or once a week.

Looking to do well across all disciplines and be competitive at BE90 / 100 and Pony Club teams in SJ, dressage or eventing. With his previous owner he completed the Pony Club Champs Intermediate Eventing.

Polly has grown too tall and has now decided to move on from ponies and we are looking to find a special family home and young jockey who can really appreciate Rocky’s talent.

Joey is a talented pony who has evented at Novice level in his younger days, so very experienced and, over the last 2.5 years has taken our daughter from jumping 60/70cm, at the age of 12, to double clear rounds at BE90  / 100cm. Now, at 15, she is ready to move on to horses.

Fantastic cross country – always fast over the ground and bold over the jumps, but always looks after himself and his rider. Only one run out (driver error) in 3 years.

Consistent dressage – loves to show off. Scores usually in the 20’s - winning with 11 at one PC ODE last year and 5th individual at PC area14 at Intermediate level this year. Particularly keen on showing off his lovely floaty extended trot!

Careful show jumper, never knocks them down.

Forward going and great fun to hack out, alone or in company. Safe with traffic. Has never bucked, kicked or reared – occasional bunny hop of excitement when hacking !

Leagaun Wild Boy is a Connemara x TB, grey, gelding.

Johnnie had jumped up to Foxhunter level with numerous clears and wins on his BS record in Juniors. He is now currently jumping 1m15 BS seniors with ease.

He started eventing in September 2015 with consistent double clears and very good dressage scores with numerous placings & a win at Larkhill 100 in the open section. He stepped up to Novice in August proving himself from the start with a double clear at Smiths Lawn.

This year, Johnnie has excelled further, performing exceptionally well in every novice and most recently in his first international CIC* at Brightling.

Johnnie has three fabulous paces. He is a very careful show jumper who wants to please and is a complete machine cross country. He jumps for fun. He is easy to do in every way, hack, clip, catch, load/travel. This pony has no vices, he is never sick or sorry and he has perfect manners.

Blondie has been with me now for three years and from day one has been an absolute pleasure. I purchased her as a long term project and have loved every minute of training her, I wish I could keep her another year but as I'm an adult I feel I am now holding her back in competition as she is ready to progress and I am to big for her realistically. She really is the ultimate dream pony from her Barbie looks to her temperament and talent.

I have been very careful never to over ask or frighten her, she is exceptionally well schooled and trained up to Elementary / Medium dressage. She has competed BD and always scores well.

She has done some senior BS 90/100 classes and this season I have focused on her BE career and in her 6 runs so far she has had 6 prizes and all her dressage scores are in the 20s. She is very bold, careful and clever and nothing fazes her, she is always on her line with any skinny, ditch, water and tricky fences she is snaffle mouthed and very forgiving. Even though she is still learning her trade she is very sure of her own ability and therefore she is very straightforward and looks after herself.

She is 200% in every single way to deal with and and hack out. When i bought her she was fully vetted and x-rayed and is up to date with everything.

She is currently fit and competing and I will continue to produce her further if she doesn't sell. No loans and tack isn't included.

Genuine enquiries please this special pony is my pride and joy and I have been very careful to produce her correctly with a child in mind, I want to see her progress to the very top therefore I intend to carefully vet all potential homes.

Bingo has been the pony of a lifetime for us and this is an extremely sad sale. He was purchased from Jane Beswick as a 4/5 year old and has been the perfect childs pony/first horse since. My daughter was 12 when we bought him and absolutely tiny on him, he has looked after her and given us many many wonderful times since. He is totally bombroof can be hacked out by the most novice or nervous rider, will be led from another or can be led from. He hunts beautifully at the back or the front and is an absolute pleasure to have around. He has taken part in pony club camps, fun rides on Exmoor, been used for Riding and Road Safety tests and is the ultimate safe all rounder. He is also a true competition pony winning almost everything he has turned his hoof to.

His dressage is stunning and he receives super marks (best at BE is 18) and this could be taken much further - we have been told many times he should be doing BYRDS but we only do dressage to get to the jumps! His scores at BE are almost always in the 20s and he is often in the lead after the dressage.

He is an excellent show jumper and has been a regular and reliable member of all the pony club and school teams over the years. We competed at Chard EC a couple of weeks ago and he won the 90cm and was 2nd in the 1m.

We did compete at BSPS for some years but then moved onto eventing but he did extremely well as a working hunter pony, was 3rd in the HOYS qualifier we did, he won and went champion many times and won the Novice Gold Cup at the Winter Champs, was 3rd in the Novice Final and 5th in the Restricted. Jumps all trays etc with no problems.

Eventing is our true love he is a superb 90/100 horse (although he would happily trot safely around the 80 with a novice to show them the ropes). He has 111 Foundation Points and numerous top ten placings, This season because of A levels my daughter has only done 3 BE events and has been double clear in all, she has done 2 U18 100 classes and was 2nd in both of these (he is a definite for the U18 teams in the future but because of our limited runs this year we were asked to be reserve this year) so we decided to concentrate on our pony club areas which he won with a 21.5 dressage.

He is also brilliant at the NSEA JWS and has qualified every year since we have had him for the Championships, winning from 70cm to 110 - in 2016 he qualified for the 90, 1m and 1.10 and jumped superbly.

He is true all rounder who is safe and kind and will look after your child. This is a very difficult sale and he will only be sold to a super home, preferably a forever home with younger children or a mother/child share. He will give you so much pleasure, fun and success and needs to loved and adored.

He is 100% in all ways. Full wardrobe including made to measure saddle available by separate negotiation,

HOOFPRINT CALEB

FEI Event pony for sale

Caleb is the most honest and genuine pony you will come across, a true gentleman and 100% in every way - He has a massive heart and an incredible desire to do his very best under any circumstance - He is well known for his huge scope and bravery and his level head

Caleb is an established eventer with many placings at Junior 1* with me. He has always been ridden as a junior horse so has never campaigned in pony 2* classes until this year

He was one of only 3 double clears in his first pony trial to finish 6th (would have been 2nd without time as wasn't fit)

Top Eventing Results: 2016/2017

  • Kilguilkey house P** - 2nd
  • Clyda P** ~ 3rd
  • Punchestown (Pony Trial) ~ 6th
  • Annaharvey J* ~ 2nd
  • Killossery J* ~ 7th
  • Monart PC Open ODE ~ 3rd
  • Tattersalls PC Open ODE  ~ 2nd
  • Killossery J* ~ 6th

A definite team pony for next year, unfortunately he missed his chance this year as I handed over the reins a bit too late in the season

Caleb shows the confidence of a seasoned campaigner yet he has only been eventing for four years. He is a complete machine SJ and XC, consistently double clear with an accurate and biddable test. He hates to touch a pole

He loves his showjumping and fires around a 1.20+ with ease and could easily be a top track SJ pony

He has also done many working hunter shows, and is competing at The Dublin Horse Show in August - He is never out of the ribbons

Caleb lives for his hunting, he is very safe ,brave as a lion ,he jumps with such confidence and has a fifth leg

A truly heartbreaking sale of my best friend so a 10* competitive home is a must

Veilo, (Farrell Hill Boy) is a talented eventing pony who is now sadly for sale as my daughter is 16, will soon have outgrown him and now wants to progress to something a little bigger. He is honest, confident, bold, but never unsafe and has had several double clears at BE100 and recently went clear XC around the BE105 at Offchurch Bury.

He has the potential to take someone to Pony Trials or to Novice for a young adult rider. A rider injury (not horse related) and a focus on GCSEs meant that Pony Trials weren't for us but we have laid the ground work for his new owner. Veilo has attended numerous pony training sessions and camps and with the right rider, he has the potential to go far.

Last season he was campaigned fully at BE100.

His flatwork is constantly improving and he had a 31 2 weekends ago. He also achieved a 35 in the novice test at Offchurch Bury. His paces are beautiful and is always noted to be very promising. He is also established in the basics of medium and lateral work.

His showjumping is very strong and any errors on his record are that of the rider. He has had several clears and has jumped up to 1.20 at home. He has also taken part in BSJA Pony newcomers and foxhunter on a ticket. He is forward but never strong and will jump off any stride asked of him.

XC is his strongest area - excelling around even the most technical and challenging of courses. The only blemishes on his record for XC are from my daughter's learning and improving. There isn't a fence that we have ever had issues with and will jump anything placed in front of him. He is always looking for the flags. He has schooled around fences up to Intermediate too.

Away from the competition circuit, we have taken Veilo to Arena Eventing, Interhunt relays and Hunting. He represented our Pony Club at the Area Intermediate Eventing last year.

Good to do in all ways and never difficult to manage. Travels very well in trailer or lorry and will stay away without issue. Veilo can hack alone or in company.
Veilo is very talented and needs a confident, relaxed rider. We want him go to a home where he can continue to learn and grow and really excel as the eventing competition pony he is.

He has been well cared for in a loving home with a high quality diet and is up to date with everything. He is checked by an equine physiotherapist once a quarter and is always in fantastic shape.

We can provide references from instructors.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. It is very important to us that he goes to an excellent home with the right rider. We will be very to say good bye to him.

There is the possibility of including a 6 month old Kate Negus bridle and breastplate and 18 month old Exselle monoflap jump saddle in the sale.
Plenty more photos and videos are also available on request.

  • Clear XC around Offchurch BE105
  • 31 double clear at PC 100 last weekend
  • Several double clears around BE100
  • Excellent XC and very bold
  • Has jumped clear at Pony Foxhunter BSJA on a ticket

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
