Orchids Gisa is a well bred Dutch pony with an incredible jump. All her riders have loved jumping her but she is not for the faint hearted or a novice ride as she is forward to a fence, sensitive and pingy.
We adore this gentle easy going mare and she needs a job now the foal is weaned. She was on lease in Wales in 2020 (Wales had no shows in 2020 due to covid which was incredibly unfortunate for Grace and Gisa). In 2021 we tried to breed her but she hasn't taken, but in 2022 she did take......she will hopefully breed again in the future as she has great bloodlines.
Currently she is hairy, out and just coming back into work. She did a smattering of ridden work in Sept/Oct 2022. She would need to be brought back into work steadily and sensibly. Loan for this initial period to establish whether its a pairing that works. If it doesn't work out we would have her back again.
At HOYS 2019 Newcomer final she took to the big atmosphere with ease and jumped brilliantly - both rider and pony (and mum) completely green at this level.
Still over 60 points left in Newcomers - ideally she would go to someone who could still have two years in ponies on her.
All the scope for Fox and beyond, placed 2nd in the Sparkle at Addington and has qualified and jumped Coral and Sapphire at Bluechip for 3 years. Gisa has a big stride and makes distances easily - she is very adjustable once you have the measure of her.
Qualified and jumped in the Hickstead International Arena for the NSEA schools Elite championships 2018. Won her Hickstead rug at a different schools team competition. Qualified for the NSEA champs elite 2019 at Felbridge.
We would love to hear from a competitive, balanced, sympathetic rider who already has experience on 138s/148s at 1m or above, who is probably at least 14 years old, who likes a forward pony and who can offer the right kind of home. Gisa likes to live out with a companion and a field shelter 24/7 all year around. We often took her to big shows straight from the field. We can provide an easy cob 13.1 companion if necessary who she has been with for much of the past 4 years.
We have found she is somewhat unconventional and isn't a lesson pony - she is generally at her best jumping a new challenging course where she doesn't know where she is going - long warm ups or repeated courses in a lesson are not her thing. She likes hacking and is sensible - especially sensible when being ponied which we do regularly to keep her fit where she is remarkably easy. For this reason the right home would probably be running alongside another more conventional pony.
Please email or WhatsApp if you are interested with your details - age, location, keep arrangements, and the name of a registered BS pony you have competed this year. We are not expecting big money but a token sum to know she is wanted, the right home and job is the most important thing. She loves to be out and about. We know this mare can be misunderstood and can also do great things. Plenty of videos and photos available on request. Based RH19.
