I am holding a pre HOYS day on 28th September 2008,
this training workshop day will to help you with those very finial
touches! Trimming and presentation are top of the list that is why I
have selected a date so close to HOYS!!
I will cover the conditions you will face when you
get there! Tack you will need how you will have to dress, how the
classes are run, and what your grooms may need to know! This day is open
to all especially those who have qualified for all classes at HOYS
including the Search for a Star section
If you are lucky enough to have qualified a cob,
coloured, hunter, hack or riding horse and you are a *Non *
Professional* and have never been TO HOYS before this day is designed
just for you
Over night stabling and B & B available to those
that need it at extra cost - Spaces limited so book early to ensure your
space

PLEASE BRING HORSES UNTRIMMED

9.30am. Arrival, introduction to each attending.
Coffee. Assess each horse for trimming, manes and tail pulling. Answer
any questions arising. Practise plaiting and show hogging best method
for best advantage. General turn and use of products to get the best
overall effect
Rider and groom turnout. Saddlery and other areas
you wish to cover followed by a lunch break - Then assess each horse
and ride and make recommendations and deal with class conduct, ring
craft - I will recommend improvements and deal with any matters arising
4.00. Tea break, discuss groundwork and any
problems - All will leave with a goodie bag!
