Stunning 15.2hh skewbald gelding
4 year old registered Irish Sport Horse
This lovely horse was recently
imported from Ireland where had been broken and was riding away nicely
He has a very rhythmical trot and
very elevated paces - He moves straight and has shown a very willing and
trainable temperament
He is currently being schooled on
the flat and is popping small fences under saddle showing a very careful,
bold jump - He never refuses and really enjoys his job - He loves fillers
and jumps everything asked of him
He has hacked out on the road alone
and in company and is impeccably behaved - He is fantastic in even the
heaviest of traffic and has seen lorries, buses, tractors etc - He is great
to canter out with others and is easy to pull up – he never gets silly
Smartie has an adorable yet cheeky
temperament and loves attention and fuss - He has been handled by children
and would never bite or kick
Sadly, Smartie was involved in an
accident with a gate as a two year old and has some small scarring to his
hind legs - This does not cause any lameness issues and recently passed a
full five stage vetting and the sheet is available for you to see - He is
therefore unsuitable for showing at county level but I feel he is so
striking and handsome that he has enough quality to show at local level
He is admired by everybody who meets
him and has a gorgeous head
Smartie is looking for a rider who
is wanting to produce a young horse for competition - He would be ideal for
a competent teenager or small adult and will be very much a fun horse - He
is ideal for Pony Club/Riding Club activities
Smartie is good to catch, shoe, load
and has had clippers around his whiskers etc and was fine
