By the Champion, Premium & Elite Stallion Muenchhausen, who was Reserve World Champion for young horses in 2003 & was 2nd for the Danish Dressage team in the CHIO Aachen nation's cup 2006 he now winning at Grand Prix, Grand Prix special. E.H Muenchhausen is a highly reputed sire not only within the Trakehner breed, but he is used to influence other Warmblood breeds.

Garuda K's Grandsire E.H Angard is also a Champion & Elite Stallion competing successfully up to Grand Prix level. He is the son of the unforgettable Elite Stallion and Grand Prix star E.H Anduc, renound for his high quality Dressage offspring.

Unkensee, sire of Garuda K's granddam is renouned for his exceptional transmission of Trakehner type and outstanding talent for Dressage, his sire E.H Erkonig was also bestowded the title of Elite Stallion due to the exceptional results of his offspring competing to the highest level in Dressage.

E.H Muenchhaussen's Sire E.H Hohenstein, is also Premium & Elite Stallion, Trakehner Stallion of the year 2002, also winning at grand Prix


The roots of Garuda K's damline trace back to the Thoroughbred mare Gletcherfart xx by Prince Rouge xx, a narrow but outstanding competition line & highly proven mare family. E.H Muenchhausen's dam line represents the narrow East Prussian bloodline of Moosebeere 1154, to which the stallions Maursee, Markant as well as the International Showjumpers Marcella and Igor also belong. E.H Muenchhausen's dam Mohnblute was the best 4 year old of her breeding region, her sire Konigstein was is also a Premium Stallion, she furthermore carries the genes of the stallion Arrak, sire of the International & Olympic Dressage horse Merlin

E.H Muenchhausen has produced 4 graded son's including the Reserve Champion Stallion Garuda K, Austrian Champion Tassilo & the Premium Stallion Mon Baron he has also produced several Premium graded daughters, St.Pr.U.Pr.St Herzlicht, 3 year old filly sold at Neumunster for Euro 50.000, as well as the top priced Westfalian auction horse Mein Marrchenprinz

E.H Muenchhausen's sire E.H Hohenstein is one of the most well known & successful Dressage sires not only within the Trakehner breed but also with the Hannovarian, Oldenburg & Westfalian Studbooks. Hohenstein founded his own branch of his world wide renouned Stallion line of Arongo - Karon - Caprimond. His offspring also fetch top prices, Habitus sold for 320,000DM via the Verden Elite auction as did His Highness selling for a record Euro 515,000, At the Equilibra Auction High fashion sold for £ 85.000

His sire Woodcroft Garuda K is a top level future Dressage candidate. His grandsire Elite Stallion Muenchhausen counts among the most successful Grand Prix Dressage Horses in Europe. Garuda K's bloodlines are pure Dressage, his damsire imports the influence of the S - Dressage Sire the Elite Stallions Angard and Unkensee

Woodcroft Gideon is line bred to the Elite Stallion Hohenstein and is himself a Stallion potential, he has the most amazing head and neck combined with correct conformantion, off the floor elastic paces and just looks like a little stallion! Gideon sold almost immediately after being born, but due to his owners change in personal circumstances is now re - offered for sale

Woodcroft Hirtenfreude is classical in type and presence, almost perfect in conformation, correctness and gaits, she is a beautiful Tambour daughter with an outstanding pedigree, Tambour is a Premium Stallion & an Elite Stallion candidate, his highly proven Dressage genes include some of the best International Bloodlines including the Elite Stallion Hohenstein, Elite Stallion Caprimond, Elite Stallion Consul - Herzbube. Still a young Stallion he maintains a top position among the most successful sires of Broodmares (official list 2004)

Woodcroft Hirtenfreude's mare family are renouned for producing outstanding Stallions, top class Broodmares and International Dressage Horses such as the Elite Stallions Herzzauber & Herzruf, Champion stallion Hibiskus, Olympic star Hirtentraum & Supreme Champion & Elite Mare Herzchen

Her dam ST.PR.U.PR.ST Hirten is one of the foundation mares of the German Stud Elmarshausen. Her 2nd dam ST.PR.U. PR.ST. High Socks is the mother of Holderlin, successful sire in Hungary and has won several German National In Hand Titles, as did her 3rd dam ST.PR.PR.U.E.ST. Herchen, dam of the Elite Stallion Herzruff, Reserve Champion Hirtenruf and a number of top class Broodmares

Woodcroft Hirtenfreude was awarded the Title of Premium Mare and Reserve Champion at the Trakehner Breeders Fraternity Show 2004. In the same year at the Royal Show (see the Judges comments in news and results) she was 2nd in the Warmblood Broodmare Class and joint Reserve Champion out of 68 entries, scoring 9 for Type and 9 for Elasticity. She was also 1st at the East of England show in the Sport Horse Class. At the Suffolk County Show Hirtenfreude was 1st in the Warmblood Class, Champion Warmblood and Reserve Supreme Champion out of a possible 1,400 horses

Garuda K was backed in the spring of 2004, after only being under saddle for two weeks he showed off his wonderful elastic paces and exceptional potential, at the Supporters Of British Breeding seminar, with guest speakers Gerd Heuchmann and Suzanne Miesner, Garuda K had never been ridden with another horse and the horse cantering around as Garuda K entered the arena was a mare in season, he took it all in his stride

Garuda K sustained a terrible leg and foot injury, which we thought would end his ridden career, after an accident whilst training in Germany, he has now made a full recovery and is back in Dressage training, he is currently competing at Medium level and in 2006 Qualified for the National & International Five Year Old Classes with his Rider Malcolm Holtshausen. Woodroft Garuda K & Malcolm are currently training with Conrad Schumacher
