INTRODUCTION

In our search for the perfect foal (we can dream!), we often send out mares to stallions at other studs, we know what the "visitor" needs - & often hopes for in vain. We have set up the Uppacott Stud at Goatlake Farm quite specifically to meed those needs.

As we were able to build the yard & set up the fields from scratch, the facilities are superb & totally purpose built! Your mare will be kept in post & railed fields close to & within immediate sight of the house. The stallions are also close by - witin sight & smell but not touch - to encourage your mare to come into season naturally.

All mares are looked after with the same immaculate care & attention we give our own ponies. They will be tried on every appropriate day & covered in a purpose built indoor school, with the same high standard of aftercare

Claire takes personal responsibility for the covering process & all our grooms are either qualified (to AI or Stage III level) or on their way.

Uppacott Stud at Goatlake Farm has some of the best facilities available - These include:

Experienced staff to care for your mare whilst at stud with 24 hour supervision given to foaling mares
Spacious foaling boxes
Purpose built covering building
Totally post & railed paddocks

GOATLAKE FARM also has:

A cross-country course for training purposes
Horse exerciser
A full sized outdoor arena & a beautiful indoor arena

INFORMATION

GOATLAKE FARM'S excellent staff provide an efficient & friendly service that produces top quality winners in all spheres.
Experienced riders in residence produce & compete the Stud's home-bred & owned ponies. They also provide training for those clients who would like their pony to be backed or trained for further education, tuition & training for riders, show production & much more.
The Stud also has to offer a selection of youngstock & ridden ponies for sale, which can be viewed any time by arrangement.

HOW TO FIND US....

BY ROAD....

Take the A30 outside Exeter at Junction 31 on the M5. Second Junction - Pathfinder Village - about 5 miles from Junction 31. Right off A30, right at mini roundabout (100 yards). Right at first X roads (� mile), right at top of hill (� mile), straight on for a mile, road bends left. Goatlake is � mile further on. On right at bottom of steep hill (ignore Goatlake House)

Coming from South West - The A30 Patherfinder Village Junction is 5 miles from Exeter. Go off left & follow above directions.

VACANCIES
EXPERIENCED GROOM - REQUIRED NOW	BHS Stage III or equivalent is required to join a growning family business (working owners, an AI rider / teacher & two other grooms) offering a totally comprehensive service to the pony owner - See above You must be commited to ponies & their care, to child riders & client service. You must be able to work to the highest standards & to take charge when necessary. You must be able to work well with children, enjoy giving a service to wide variety of clients, be able to help with breaking, schooling & show production & be prepared to get involved in stud work. Ideally you should be small & lightweight & good enough to sschool & show ponies. If you are working for your AI you will have every opportunity to complete your 500 hours. Superb brand new working conditions. Excellent brand new self contained accomodation & we are prepared to discuss own horse / pet.
