Tarry Flynn (2021) is a chestnut colt. He has an attractive head and neck, a very good shoulder, top line and back and powerful quarters. He achieved an Elite grading at SHBGB Futurity Evaluation (2021) and ranked third highest of all foals presented that year in his category. He shows great natural balance. His walk is active with nice suspension and his trot is very elevated. His canter is very expressive and adjustable. Tarry Flynn was awarded 9 for his walk, 9.25 for his trot and 9.5 for his canter at grading. This stunning young horse is straightforward to handle. He is proving respectful and calm headed and takes life as it comes. He loads and travels easily. He is proving trainable in the small amount of work he has done. He travelled and overnighted en route from Hampshire to North Yorkshire for a couple of week’s preliminary ground work for a short period as a 2 yo and was wholly nonplused by proceedings. His sire Timolin (son of Totilas) is currently British Breeding Futurity Leading Eventing Sire. He is a handsome and very striking horse. He has exceptional athleticism,immense presence and self-carriage. He is bold and careful and has a light an easy gallop. He finished his eventing career one point off Advanced. Timolin now competes solely in dressage and has successes at National Grand Prix and an international career in the offing. Totilas, sire of Timolin, (Grandsire of Tarry Flynn) was one of the most outstanding competitive dressage horses in the world, the first horse to score above 90 in international dressage competition and the former holder of the world record for the highest dressage score in Grand Prix Freestyle. Timolin’s dam line carries further eventing talent to 3* level.

Tarry Flynn’s dam, Tayvale Illusion, is a SHBGB Premium Graded Mare. She is bold, talented and full of scope. She has an excellent front and length of neck, well defined topline and very good quarters. She has expressive paces with great extension and adjustability. She too oozes presence and has abundant scope and quality. A “beautiful” mare. Tayvale Illusion is by Balloon (see Video) who is by Balou du Rouet. Balloon was a 1.60m Grand Prix show jumper and competed on several Nations Cup Teams. Tayvale Illusion’s damline exudes the very best of Irish Show Jumping and Eventing Breeding. Keith has shown successfully in hand as a yearling, winning consistently and achieving a 2nd and highest placed yearling in a very strong mixed youngstock class at the Great Yorkshire Show last year.

He has uphill correct movement, and is very straight and correct. He is a very true to type colt. Keith is eligible for grading and has all the attributes to make a class 1 stallion, He will be an asset to any Irish Draught stud. Equally, Keith could be gelded as a potential top class hunter (very likely a small) or even a superb all rounder.

Keith does have a small splint which has been X rayed and is just fibrous, the vet has advised this will mostly likely absorb as he matures or could easily be removed if it doesn’t, equally either way this does not detract from his career as a possible future entire or inspections.

I have owned Keith since he was a weanling and the home is very important to me, he Is a cheeky chap and full of character and personality. There is absolutely nothing else on the market of his calibre! I am happy to geld at home if required.

Blake is an approx. 15.2hh 5yo AES registered stallion. He is by the elite stallion Cobra (Carthago x Landgraf I x Cor de La Bryere) out of a Malforin Mac Baloubet x Mac’s Imp mare who has competed in all disciplines.

Due to his owner’s health over the last couple of years he is low mileage in terms of show experience however he has been very well socialised with good basics in place ready for someone to put their own stamp on him.

Blake’s passion is jumping and the more we’ve asked of him the more he’s showing a great technique and how bold and brave he is to a fence with the scope, carefulness and ability to go up the levels. He has also been XC schooling and although he started very green he did grow in confidence the more he did and could be a smart eventer with the right person.

He hacks alone or in company, goes first or last and hasn’t been phased by any traffic we’ve met with him yet. He’s also been good in open spaces with us and has done everything to do date in a rubber snaffle.

He’s a really sweet horse to deal with on the ground and you’d easily forget he was a stallion he’s been so good around the yard and with other horses around.

He has been good to shoe, box, clip and catch. He has no lumps/bumps and no vices that we have seen in the time he has been with us.

The owner is happy for him to be gelded once purchased and if needed we are happy to discuss him staying with us for this to be done prior to heading off for his new home.

We think he would suit an active home with someone who can bring out his full potential as he’s loved exploring new places and getting out and about with arena hires etc. He is a yard favourite and we are also happy to discuss him staying on for further schooling/competition experience or to be produced on behalf of an owner.

Maylands The Governor

11 year old stallion , approx 16,1hh. CHAPS graded.

Gov has a lovely temperament. He has done a bit of everything, ridden & inhand showing, dressage (elementary level), pleasure rides and a little bit jumping for fun.

He absolutely loves to hack and will go alone or in company. He is great to shoe, bath, clip, catch, load etc. he has no vices. He is very affectionate and loves a cuddle. Can have a loving nibble every now and then but that’s as far as it goes .

We have mainly done ridden showing with him and if you over do it he can get bored. He has contested in LIHS & HOYS qualifiers. Qualifying for HOYS in 2021 & 2023.

He loves in-hand showing and although he has never covered with his temperament I think he would be an asset to a stud.

He is a family horse to ride and has been ridden by my mum, beginner’s and my sons (2 & 5 years old).
