Rectory Farm Arena is a 80 x 50m arena just outside of Cirencester, Gloucestershire. We offer arena hire 365 days of the year, with a full set of BS jumps.

We run Category 2 BS shows on Thursdays from April-September.

Classes range from 90cm-1.40m  

We have hard core parking and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Sire Maximus VDL 

Maximus is already the eighth KWPN approved son of the foundation stallion Zirocco Blue. Under the saddle of Jur Vrieling, Zirocco Blue was very successful in sport from an early age and in breeding the son of Mr. Blue can be counted among the best of his generation. Offspring such as Eddie Blue (Devin Ryan USA), Magnolia Mystic Rose (Eduardo Menezes BRA), El Rocco SK (Jur Vrieling NED), Jet Blue (McLain Ward USA), Flair (Steve Guerdat SUI) and Fliere Fluiter (Jack Ansems NED) don't lie; Zirocco Blue VDL is represented every week at the highest level. Maximus was bred from a daughter of Verdi - a successful KWPN stallion under Maikel van der Vleuten.

Maximus's dam is the elite IBOP-(Spr.) Sport-(Spr.) mare Daloma, who herself was successful up to 1.30m level. Grandam Paloma in turn jumped at Grand Prix and World Cup level under top rider Eric van der Vleuten and has already produced the successful show jumpers Ferm and Ulomus in breeding. Maximus' great-grandmother Sjaloma is one of the best breeding mares from the famous Loma line; she produced the approved stallions Furore and Jaguar and was the basis for many international sport horses, including the famous Voyeur. Under Kent Farrington, Voyeur jumped to Olympic team silver in 2016 and an individual fifth place in Rio de Janeiro.

Dam line needs no introduction top-class Irish breeding on both sides.

Is the son of Clover Hill who has soiled hundreds of Grand Prix horses over the years and his dam line is King of diamonds, who again has sired m Manny Grand Prix horses. This colt oozes quality. Which is fantastic walk and a very loose trot. This is a great model.

Lovely colt foal born 11th May 2023. He has top dressage bloodlines including Furst Romancier, Sir Donnerhall and Demonstrator. This yearling would be most suited for an ambitious, competitive home. He is very athletic with super paces and a willing to please, forward thinking attitude.

Fidra’s sire Furst Romancier combines excellent paces with an excellent temperament and rideability. He received 9s for each pace at his performance test and 9.5 for rideability. He was also awarded the Oldenburg Hauptprämie prize for the quality of his foals. As a sire, Fürst Romancier has 25 licensed sons, six of them premium stallions. Furst Romanier’s sire, Fürst Heinrich was a World Champion as a young horse before his untimely death as 7 year old. His foals include the Oldenburg champion Furstenball and Woodlander Farouche, double World Young Horse Champion.

Fidra’s dam Isla May is a homebred mare with exceptional paces. Her sire is Sir Donnerhall. Sir Donnerhall was second reserve at his licensing, won his performance test and was awarded his generation's Hauptprämire, awarded for the best first crop of foals. In 2006, Sir Donnerhall was 5 year old Bundeschampion, and went on to be Vice World Young Horse Champion. The German FN breeding valuation ranks Sir Donnerhall I, who has himself been trained up to Grand Prix, as one of the best sires of dressage horses, with 150 points and 99% reliability for youngsters, and 135 points and 97% reliability for sport horses.

All our foals are handled from birth and regularly wormed, weighed and foot trimmed. They will be microchipped and passported WBS-UK. They are weaned at around 6 months old and ready to leave 2 weeks later. This gives them a chance to adjust to life without their mum in familiar surroundings before they travel to their new home. The foals learn to wear a headcollar, load, lead and lift their feet.

His dam Annabel (De Niro x Romancier) is the highest scoring mare in the KWPN index with 205 points. In her performance test she scored 9.5 for dressage talent.
