Hetti is a smart well put together 5yo pony with three lovely natural paces, she is working well on the flat and is straightforward to ride.

She is straight and careful to a jump and has proved to be brave and sensible x-country. She isn't phased by any type of jump, ditches, water etc.

She has successfully competed at show-x and hunter trials and is entered in her first ODE. Although she has never hunted, she is certainly the type that would.

Hetti is great to hack out alone or in company and good in all traffic. She has a lovely temperament and is very easy to handle, good to catch, shoe, load etc.

Hetti has been a pleasure to produce over the summer and is constantly improving, will definitely make a lovely event pony.

5* home for this special pony. No complete novices.

Purchased as a 2 year old and now 11, we have owned Poppy for 9 years. Initially backed by me and brought on professionally to BE80 level, she has taken both my sons from PC70s to PC100 and BE100u18 level with placings at BE90 and BE100u18. She was selected with my eldest son to represent East Midlands at the BE100u18 Championships in 2017, some 18 months after their first BE80T debut. In addition, they competed at both the JAS100 and JT100 finals at Hartpury in 2017. After being outgrown all too early, my younger son took over the reins in 2017. She dropped easily back down to PC70/80 level before returning to 100cm again in 2019.

Poppy has been selected with both my sons to represent the Burghley Pony Club at team and area level to Intermediate in eventing, showjumping, dressage and tetrathlon. She was part of the Burghley's winning 90cm showjumping team at Rockingham Horse Trials in 2018 and competed at the Pony Club Championships in dressage (3rd in their arena at areas) and showjumping the same year. She has produced Intermediate showjumping double clears at areas, had high placings and wins at pony club hunter trials,, competed at area tetrathlon (winning team), junior regional International tetrathlon squad for the East of England two years running and been an allround pony club gem. She loves pony club camp, always behaving impeccably, has won her ride competition at camp on numerous occasions and usually the tack and turnout! She is a much loved in the pony club, is super at rallies and events being happy to stand on the lorry, tie up outside and generally be the centre of all attention.

Poppy is a real athlete with tonnes of presence. She showed well as a youngster being champion at the National Foal of the Year show among others. She is naturally forward and I'm told would make a fabulous sports and/or working hunter pony - she measures in at 14hh and has a JMB height certificate for 14hh. She is also very smart on the flat and at our first and only BD test scored 72% with some lovely comments.

Poppy has hunted with the Cambridge Draghounds and Cottesmore Hunt. She is sparkier to hunt but thoroughly enjoys it, jumps well and stands at the meet. For a confident child she is a good hunting pony.

Poppy is good to shoe, box, little twitchy to clip but fine without sedation. She does however box walk but she won't do this at shows or when the yard is quiet. Poppy has a very endearing character and is always happy to see you. She is bossy but in a nice, confident way. She is very trusting and easy for a child to manage on their own.

We have had so many wonderful times with this super pony. She deserves a nice rider and an experienced home and, although she is forgiving, she is a competition pony and needs a capable little rider. We would love to see her placed locally however the right home is our priority. Poppy has never been sick or sorry but she is likely to flex positive to vetting flexion tests. She has however never had any time off for lameness or injury and has proved very sound this year in her loan home. During her loan she has been very successful at BE80T level (2nd) and has taken her young rider around two BE90s teaching her the ropes at this level. Sadly outgrown early, she is now looking to give her next rider the same level of fun and experience.

Sold with a huge wardrobe of rugs and her tack - bridle, Jefferies dressage/show saddle and Devoucoux jumping saddle.

Jimmy (Village Jim) is one of the most genuine loving ponies with a heart of gold.

He is an extremely competitive showjumping and event pony. He has showjumped upto 1.10 BS and evented upto 100 BE and has won lots of classes in the time we have had him.

He has also been a very successful NSEA pony qualifying all the championships and being placed.

Jimmy would suit someone who wants to go out and win, but equally at the same time he is completely bombproof. A pony like Jimmy is very hard to find.

Good to clip, hack, shoe, load etc.

Sire: Gwennic De Goariva, Dam: Meleena

I have owned DT for just over 3 years and in this time she has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. DT has successfully shown me the ropes of eventing bringing me all the way from 80cm showjumping to completing our first novice earlier this year. She is an incredibly scopey, talented and eye catching pony who is adored where ever she goes.

DT has an incredibly powerful and scopey jump making her a very careful show jumper. Despite being small she has a huge stride making horse distances very easily as well as being very fast against the clock both in showjumping and cross country nearly always making the time. DT is an incredibly special pony with still so much more to give and enough potential to be a competitive PT pony

Throughout my years of riding DT I have always competed her whilst living between Hong Kong and the UK. Had I been living in the UK full time DT would have competed much more. However, despite not being able to ride as much as I would have liked, DT has still proven herself to be to be very experienced and consistent with her performance at home and at competitions despite my slightly inconsistent living arrangements.

  • Double clear at Frickley Park National U18 Championships representing Central Team

Seriously talented pony that’s looking for his next rider to take to the top. Absolute gentleman at all times, no vices at all, easiest pony to be around!

Mallard took my daughter from BE90 to PON in one season of being together. He is a big striding, brave pony that makes the eventing distances (pony and horse) with ease. Mallard is a serious contender so is looking for a jockey he can take up the levels to return to novice and pony trails, he is a forward going pony, eager to do his job so not a novice ride. Unfortunately Mallard’s last 18 months has been quiet due to my daughter’s injury and her moving onto horses so hasn’t been a the focus through no fault of his.

Class 1 Connemara with excellent breeding lines with medal winners included, out of Ashfield Bobby Sparrow and Coosheen lines.

Extremely talented event pony seeks ambitious competent rider

Nutmeg (Newgrove Lass) is an exceptional event pony with many double clears at Novice around some testing courses.

She definitely has an intermediate in her, had it not been for Covid, that was our aim for this year! Nutmeg is a jumping machine who gave me my first experience at FEI 2* at Brand Hall with a mega clear cross country.  She will jump absolutely anything and everything - the riders job is to steer and change gears.

In the show jumping ring Nutmeg will happily jump on pony strides or push on for horse strides. She is not fazed by anything, can sort out her own striding, and I can honestly say any show jumping faults we’ve had were almost always down to rider error.

This year Nutmeg began regular dressage lessons with a top BD List 1 judge and is making massive improvements in her leg yield, shoulder in, rein back and counter canter.  Snaffle mouthed she is light in the hand and responds well to the leg aids without being sharp.

Nutmeg has hunted with Rockwood harriers, Ready field Bloodhound and Cheshire Drag, and will cross any country, first, last or middle.  I’ve even used her to whip in and lay a trail.

I have produced this pony from a teenagers 90cm hobby horse, into a serious noontime trials contender/junior ride.

Superstar Nutmeg is brave, bold, scopey and talented, but she will also take granny for a nice hack.  She is bomb proof in all traffic and is used to tractors and farm machinery etc.

A dream to load she takes herself up the ramp and will happily stand on the box.

She has one tiny quirk in that she needs sedating to clip her legs, other than that she is perfect to do in every single way, including studding.

No LWVTB, lease, or loan.

*** VIDEOS ADDED ****

Sadly our beautiful Miss Diplodocus is now very much outgrown and we have just enjoyed a lovely summer with her. She is an outstanding pony and is just getting better and better.

Dippie is stunning to look at and an incredibly genuine, talented and courageous pony who always tries her hardest to please. We have had so much fun with her and are looking for the very best home.

She was bred and produced by European Pony Gold Medallist Saffron Cresswell. In 2018 Dippie competed in Norway and went straight into FEI CCIP*. She individually won SILVER at the Norwegian Championship in 2018, and then team GOLD for Norway in the Nordic Baltic Championships in 2018.

In 2019, back in the UK, she took our daughter far quicker than we expected from BE90 to being consistently placed at BE100.

PC Area SJ Novice - Team 1st Triple Clear
PC Area Dressage Intermediate - Team 3rd

In July 2019, she qualified for Pony Club Champs (sadly cancelled) in Eventing, Show Jumping (3 clears) and Dressage. She also qualified for BE Regional Finals at 90 and 100 as well as for the Blenheim Eventer Challenge.

In 2020 she has been improving all the time in training and lightly competed. She was 3rd at Lt. Downham UA with a 29 dressage and double clear at her first event after lockdown. She then had a fabulous run at BE100 Lt. Downham with a brilliant fast clear XC. At Norton Disney BE100 she did a super test, a fabulous (hard to get) clear in the SJ and had a very unlucky glance off (due to young jockey error) at the second last fence, resulting in her jockey falling out of the side door, after storming round the rest of the course!

Due to her breeding, Dippie rides more like a small horse and moves beautifully on the flat. Her fantastic paces are always remarked on by judges and trainers. She is schooled to FEI CCIP** test level and can easily and consistently be a sub 30 pony.

Show jumping she is very careful and easily makes horse distances. XC she is a real machine and absolutley loves it. She is forward thinking and clever. She takes her rider into the fence, helps out when she can and is very quick across the country. She never has any problem making the time!

Importantly as she has no Novice points she is still eligible for Badminton Grassroots and U18s at 100 if that is a preferred route.

Dippie is an incredibly happy and kind pony who is very sweet to look after and has lived out 24/7 with us. She is good to do in every way and absolutely loves attention.

We are looking for a fabulous, long term home for her where she will not be outgrown too quickly. At just 9 years old she has a very bright future indeed ahead of her.

Would consider sensible offers for the right home.

Phone calls preferred.

In the show jumping ring Max will happily jump on pony strides or push for longer horse strides if required. He is not fazed by anything, can sort out his own striding, and I can honestly say any show jumping faults were almost always down to rider error.

Snaffle mouthed and light in the hand, with three excellent paces, lovely rhythmic lateral work and clean changes both ways, Max is well known on the BD circuit, winning the Area Petplan Equine Prelim U21 class and qualified for the 2020 BD National Championships at Hartpury. Last year he was selected to represent the BD Youth Northern Region at the BD Youth Inter Regionals, Keysoe and the Sheepgate U21s National BD Championships, both with podium finishes.

Max has hunted with the Zetland and will cross any country, first, last or middle.

Won first (& second time) time out and has gone from 80 to 100 in two months. Always sub 30 dressage. Her first run at 100 at Bishop Burton on 3/10/20 was on a really testing course and she was so genuine on the wettest day ever recorded for the UK and hence we ensured it was a steady round, with 8 time.. Almost always double clear with no time. Has never been out of the top ten apart from a wasp sting at Solihull and a rider fall in a thunderstorm SJ at ALW. We never intended to start her at 90, where she won on a double clear but in this mad season we could not get an entry in, as continuously balloted !!

Absolutely stunning 14.2 bay mare started jumping in December 2019. Until then she had been training at Pony Team FEI dressage test, but as she had the most prolific jumping legacy I wanted to see if she could jump.

This pony has enormous presence. Incredibly large, rhythmical elastic paces with a superb hind leg action. Has natural big lateral paces and balance and loves her jumping. Has never stopped or faulted across country and almost always double clear.  Snaffle mouth for all phases with kind easy temperament.

By Pro-set out of a Demonstrator mare from a grandam pony lineage who competed at the National Pony Club Championships. The rest of this pony’s pedigree is all International Grand Prix horses who need no introduction. Bred in the purple her sire and dam sire need no introduction, both International Grand Prix Horses competing for GB & Norway.

Only for sale to a Pony Rider to compete on the GB Pony squad.

For sale by the breeder Shortlands Park Stud - from the Springwind lineage producing top class Event Horses & HOYS winners.

Fully vaccinated. No vices.

Atlantic Dreamer is a top FEI pony that has taken his inexperienced Irish rider from 100’s to 2* contending the Irish Pony Trials and so nearly getting on the Irish European Pony Team.

In 2019 he was 2nd in the National Irish Novice Pony Championships and in the Ballindenisk CCI2*S in ponies. He has won and come second in numerous Novice Irish Pony Trials.

Now based in the South West of England, Atlantic Dreamer is a real contender for a European Pony Championship team. He is a very straightforward ride in all 3 disciplines and easy to do in every way.

He is a big striding, brave pony that makes the eventing distances with ease, and has a massive jump, schooling at 1.30M

This pony must be tried as he will make a pony rider’s dreams come true! Whether with an experienced pony rider wanting a real chance to get on a European team, or with a younger, less experienced rider wanting to move up the BE levels to contend Pony Trials, and on to a European Team in the future.

Snaffle mouthed in all 3 disciplines, Atlantic Dreamer is very laid back and kind, never strong, which is unusual for such a talented pony.

Excellent trial facilities available: indoor/outdoor arenas, arena eventing jumps available, and a BE course just a few minutes’ drive away.

Coolnaleen Rebel is a fabulous Irish Event pony - by Rebel Mountain(ID) out of a TB mare.

Sad sale of this family favourite whom my son (now out of ponies) has taken from never having evented to pony 2* in just two years. This pony has been carefully brought to top level eventing and is now ready to for another rider to reap the benefits.

Never buzzy or spooky, always ridden in a snaffle, super flat work, easily learned all novice moves, is super scopey showjumping, can go on horse or pony strides and really loves to cross country with clear rounds on all starts this year.

Gentleman in every way - hacks alone or in company, easy to box, shoe and clip.

  • BD @Novice Record with 18 1st placings

Chicago (Chiccy) is a well-bred, super talented 148 New Forest Pony.  Well established in all disciplines:

  • BSJA @Foxhunter Record, JC with £838 earnings and National/Premier show record;
  • BD @Novice Record (18 1st Placings);
  • BE @100+ record including Qualified Badminton Grassroots Championships 2020!

I have owned Chiccy for 6 years during which we have achieved so much! Just in the past twelve months, Chiccy secured 4 Regional Final tickets in 2019 and had 10 top ten placings out of 11 Events.  He has 103 BE Foundation points and his results speak for themselves. Any penalties on his record have been genuine or rider error.  I had planned on taking Chiccy up to Novice this year but after qualifying for Badminton Grassroots 2020 which was postponed until 2021 due to Covid, I have had to keep Chiccy under Novice this year. He has outstanding scope to move up the level to Novice/Pony Trials.

Chiccy is an outstanding jumping pony, he attracts attention and compliments from other riders/trainers when we are out by his effortless ability and bravery (and gorgeous looks too!).  Absolutely nothing phases him, he is super bold XC, no fence, ditch or water jump too big or scary, he will always go on any stride. He really does what he can to get you through the flags! He is not a novice ride as he knows his job and wants to get on with it.  For a pony, he has a huge amount of scope and gallop, he eats up the ground XC and makes the time easily.  I have no doubt he will easily make the time further up the levels too.

Out of the saddle, Chiccy is the nicest pony to deal with in every way, he loves to greet you with licks and is such a gentleman in the stable and on the ground.  He has stood for 12 hours on a lorry without any fuss waiting to be picked up when ours broke down!  He is very chilled at one day shows or stay away shows and is not bothered by crowds or buzzy arenas – he has competed in all the National SJ arenas including the HOYs jumps/fillers without looking at anything.  He hacks alone or in company and can be turned out with mares or geldings. Chiccy is low maintenance and has never been sick or sorry, absolutely no vices whatsoever.  He is physically in top condition as we have looked after him like a prince with regular dentistry, farrier and physio.

Chiccy is an ideal proven Badminton Grassroots pony for a competitive rider aiming to compete at the hallowed ground of Badminton or easily he has the competence and willingness to go further up the levels with the right rider.  Equally he would be suitable for a career back in showjumping as a Newcomers/Foxhunter pony or dressage with his superb floaty paces!

Please call or email in the first instance to let me know that you are interested and what you could offer Chiccy before price, videos and pictures are sent.  Heartbreaking sale 5* home as I am moving on to horses, serious enquiries only. He will only be sold to the absolute best home and references will be required.

I’ve had to make the very hard decision to sell the super star that is Mr Sporty Patch.

Full up 148cm 12 year old Event Pony.

This little super star has exceeded all expectations and more.

Very genuine and honest pony with huge amounts of scope. Currently working on the flat at advanced medium working towards PSG achieving high 20’s / low 30’s dressage marks at novice and CCI**S.

Numerous placings at novice including plenty of double clears and clear round Hartpury CCI**L. (His record speaks for itself).

Confidently schooling at home round 1.30m’s and has jumped senior newcomers/1.15m. Easy to handle and a pleasure to have on the yard and hacks alone and in company.

He will only be sold to the very best of homes as this is a very hard sale but at 5’10 it’s about time I got myself a horse and he can give a smaller jockey massive opportunities on the pony event or jumping circuit. If not sold he will continue to be competing at novice aiming at intermediate this season.

Substantial price required. Please no time wasters or joy riders as he is a top competition pony who is fit and ready to start his event season.

Plenty of videos and photos on requests.

Tully is the perfect experienced pony to take a confident rider up the ranks of either BE or BSJA. This mare has been there, got the t-shirt and knows her job.

Very established on the flat with 3 elevated paces and an extremely balanced canter. Works on a constant outline and knows all basic lateral work and flying changes etc. Tully is a dream to showjump. Scopey and honest, this mare takes you into a fence and round a course almost always without a fault. She has buckets of untapped potential and could be a super 148 BSJA pony, being gutsy and fast against the clock. She has jumped 120 courses at home, and 115 courses out competing on the event field showing no hesitation. Cross country this mare is a machine and flies over all sorts of fences, ditches, coffins, brushes, water, steps. This is her favourite phase. Good to hack, can occasionally get strong but never dangerous. She has evented all round the south east with numerous top ten placings at novice.

Tully has the most amazing personality on the ground, always looking for cuddles and fab to shoe/clip/rug etc. A true yard favourite. She is a very full up 148 and is currently ridden by a 5'9 young adult, but would better suit someone around the 5'4/5 mark.

This gorgeous girl just loves life, and therefore needs a confident rider as she can fizz up at times. Never anything nasty, she just simply wants to take on any challenge. No vices.

Fit and ready to go. Everything up to date , 5 stage vetted in May 2020. Extremely sad sale, will only consider a 5 star knowledgable home for this precious girl. No novices- a capable small adult or teenager would be a perfect suit for Tully. For sale through no fault of her own.

Nutmeg is a once in a lifetime pony. He has taken me from EI90P to EI110P. He has no vices and is an absolute gentleman to handle in every way. He knows his job well and has every possibility of making a European team. Last year, he was part of the Irish High Performance team.

He is very genuine and loves his cross-country. He is as straight as a dye at skinny fences and knows his job well.

He is schooled on the flat up to two star pony level.

He is agile and careful over a fence, with all the scope to match. He's a nippy little pony and will dig you out of trouble, once he knows where the flags are he will try his heart out to get through them.

I genuinely believe that with the right rider he will compete in the Europeans.

He's the perfect height, he measures in 148cm with shoes on. He is a Connemara cross Thoroughbred so has all the blood, bravery and brains.

He's only 8 so he has time on his side. Heart breaking sale, I have aged out of ponies and as much as I'd love to keep riding him, he has such a bright future and I want him to go where I know he can.

Such a fun pony and loves his job. Will only be sold to a 5* home . Videos available on request.

Rusty is a brilliant school master that has taken his young rider in their first season together from 90’s up to riding bold Novice courses with confidence in all phases, coming 3rd in their first Novice at Bicton. Rusty is known on the PT circuit as the “jumping machine” and as his rider has very sadly outgrown him and moving onto horses, he now needs a young rider keen to event, progress and compete successfully through Novice and PT.

Rusty has 3 correct, balanced paces and established lateral work. He excels in the Showjumping and Cross Country phases of eventing as he is extremely bold, exceptionally careful and will always carry his rider home safely.

He has a big stride making all the horse distances easily and covering the ground well to complete within the time but never too strong, consistently honest and careful over fences, giving great confidence.

Rusty would not be Rusty without his huge character which is why he is as good as he is and nothing phases this talented pony.

Rusty has had a great start to the 2020 season and is feeling better than ever for his next rider, however there are some blips on his record that can be easily explained over the phone.

Easy to do in all ways, hack alone or in company, clip, load, travel (trailer or lorry, alone or company), shoe, stay away etc.

Knowledgeable 5* home only for this very special pony and heartbreaking sale. NO time wasters.

Star is sadly for sale as her owner has now outgrown her and has bought a horse.

Star is low mileage as since being in her present home for the last nearly 3 years, she has mainly only been enjoyed for training at home as her owner concentrated on her studies. Star has never been affiliated with BS to maintain her Event Pony status.

Star has however competed Internationally FEI in Showjumping this Feb/March in Vilamoura, achieving several placings over the weeks in the 1,10m classes.

Star is an impeccably mannered mare, not mareish, polite, kind, fun but also a seriously competitive animal.

Star has an excellent brain, she will take someone round XC, SJ or equally knows to be kind and tone it down looking after a child.

Any sensible trial welcome

Recently she has been helping our boys take their first jumps.

The next day she will come out and pop a 1,20m course of jumps for fun.

Star can be viewed at our stables in Gerrard’s Cross (Bucks) where her owner is based with us.
