He currently has 33 BE foundation points. Roo is snaffle mouthed for all disciplines.

He is exceptionally easy to handle on the ground, good to hack alone and in company, shoe, box, clip etc

He is very friendly and loving and wants to be everyone’s best friend. No vices

Extremely sad sale due to rider moving onto horses

Jesse has come out this year on fire once again having had a good holiday, hunting through the winter after a much needed break towards the end of last year.

She has jumped all clear SJ rounds at 100/110 cm except one pole in one round this year since February.  She is a cross country machine as many people will vouch for.

She has successfully represented Central region at the CCI champs at Frickley Park.  She has also completed the CCIJ*(now 2*) at Brand Hall and numerous Pony Trials including several top 10 placings both in these and in ONu18.

This year she won the schools eventer challenge series at Aston, has successfully competed at horse trials up to BE N level and was 3rd at the RC venter challenge champs – Tom was just too fast after still being in “intermediate speed mode” from his other horses!

She will measure under 151cm for ponies and has been by the team vet.  She is a big pony so will last a teenager or suit an adult or teenager wanting to do U18 classes.

She has never had a day lame or sick since we have had her and is fit and ready with all the skills required to help her next jockey advance their riding

  • Extremely talented pony with a huge jump!

ONE IN A MILLION – a pony of his scope and huge jump is very hard to find!

Pure bred Connemara with sought-after Sparrow jumping bloodlines, he accumulated 33 eventing foundation points in one season. He raises his game as asked and quickly understands what is required of him. He loves his jumping but also works well on the flat in a soft outline and does not need a lot of working in at events.

You can see his amazing scope! Bold and athletic, with an absolutely huge jump! Started seriously eventing in 2016 with Diana Grant with four double clears out of eight runs and 1st in his fourth BE100. Occasionally too fast cross country with his long stride and big jump, so no problems making the time over bigger tracks. He had no event rider for 2017 but went showjumping – competing in BS Pony Premier shows – during 2018.

He won his BE100 section at Burnham Market, doing a lovely soft dressage test to gain him a score of 26.5, was clear showjumping and cross country with just 2.8 time penalties. You can see video clips of his dressage and showjumping rounds on the TawnyDun Stud website. He now has 34 Foundation Points, as he has started eventing again this year, achieving a double clear at Horseheath (1) BE90.   He will be competing at Poplar Park (2) on Sunday 19th May in the BE100.

He has a quick mind and the ability to achieve greatness in any discipline. Ideal for eventing but would excel at show jumping, dressage, WHP too with his adaptability, ground covering stride, eye catching presence and his exuberance over jumps. He is not a schoolmaster or a pony for a novice. He is very intelligent and needs a rider who compliments his talent, and who is capable of really riding him to win.

Easy to do, good in stable and calm at events, hacks out alone or in company and with a lovely temperament. More pictures and information on the TawnyDun Stud website.

Not many miles on the clock as late starter and his career has been interrupted by owners ill health, he is definitely pony for the future - ideal for a confident and competitive teenager who wants to get to the top!

Mullagh Shane grey Gelding 9 Year Old LHC 144.5cm 14’1”hh Sire Murvey Benny Dam Gortglass Lady Bird.

We have owned this pony since he was 5 years old and my son was 9 ( now 13 ) His legs barley came below the saddle flaps. This pony and my son have done everything together, both learning on the way, but unfortunately my son has now had a growing spurt and we have taken the very sad decision to sell. Shaney as know at home has taken my very nervous son from jumping 65cm to confidently jumping 1.00 and beyond.

They started their partnership together and have done almost everything together with great success from Champion of the Bloxham School Eventing series at Aston Le Walls for Two years running 80cm in 2017, 90cm Champions in 2018.

This pony has also taken my son hunting with the Cottesmore on his own from 11 never strong or silly looking after my son amazingly, you know they are coming home safe, will go first or last in field and jump anything in front of him. Also taken him drag hunting with manners to burn.

Won many pony team events 80cm 90cm and 1.00m

BE Eventing my son is now doing BE100and has the scope to go to FEI and or Badminton Grassroots, but unfortunately we have run out of growing room on this pony.

Shaney has also been racing at Cheltenham Ascot and local point to point and is always impeccably behaved.

I cannot stress enough HOW SAFE this pony is and it has been genuinely produced by a child and Not an adult, under the guidance of top trainers.

110% safe in traffic, will travel alone or in company happy to stand on lorry for hours even when taking 2 as we regularly take two ponies out.

Done pony club camp for past 3 years winning combined training there.

Snaffle mouth everything Never had another bit in his mouth.

Hacks out alone or in company Never gets strong or silly at back, NEVER Bolted in any situation. Been on beach rides.

Good to shoe clip etc. Never had a day off Sick or sorry No Blemishes Lumps or bumps.

This Pony is in his prime at 9 and in the correct hands will make a brilliant FEI or Grassrooots pony, Fit and ready to go out competing straight away.

No loans or LWVTB. Open to any vet,P lease no time wasters as this pony has been part of our family for 4 years and deserves a busy new life. This is a very genuine family pony with the scope to go further.

"Pony of a lifetime" is a description used all too regularly but Poppy has been just that for us. They say when you own a number of horses it's the good ones you remember. Poppy has opened so many doors for us and given both of my sons childhood memories to treasure for a lifetime. We adore her and parting with her has been a very difficult decision.

Purchased as a 2 year old and now 10, we have owned Poppy for 8 years. Initially backed by me and brought on professionally to BE80 level, she has taken both my sons from PC70s to PC100 and BE100u18 level with placings at BE90 and BE100u18. She was selected with my eldest son to represent East Midlands at the BE100u18 Championships in 2017, some 18 months after their first BE80T. As BE's youngest combination, they learnt together and developed a wonderful relationship which until recently Oli has found difficult to find in another horse. In addition, they competed at both the JAS100 and JT100 finals at Hartpury in 2017 having qualified in both in style. After being outgrown all too early, my younger son took over the reins in 2017. She dropped easily back down to PC70/80 level and at their first BE event at Horseheath he won an award for the best first timer. Pops has now helped him develop to the same level of riding as his brother, perhaps beyond. Never strong, she will do just the same for her next rider, always wanting to work and proving her weight in gold.

Poppy has been selected with both my sons to represent the Burghley Pony Club at team and area level to Intermediate in eventing, showjumping, dressage and tetrathlon. She was part of the Burghley's winning showjumping team at Rockingham Horse Trials in 2018 and competed at the Pony Club Championships in dressage (3rd in their arena at areas) and showjumping the same year. She has produced Intermediate showjumping double clears at areas, had high placings and wins at pony club hunter trials qualifying for the Eland Lodge National Hunter Trial Championships this year, competed at area tetrathlon (winning team), junior regional International tetrathlon squad for the East of England two years running and been an allround pony club gem. She loves pony club camp, always behaving impeccably, has won her ride competition at camp on numerous occasions and usually the tack and turnout - those white legs are quite dazzling! She is much loved in the pony club, is super at rallies and events being happy to stand on the lorry, tie up outside and generally be the centre of all attention.

Poppy is a real athlete with tonnes of presence. She showed well as a youngster being champion at the National Foal of the Year show among others. She is naturally forward and I'm told would make a fabulous sports and/or working hunter pony - whilst we haven't had her officially measured, I would think she could stand a good chance of measuring in. We are often asked if we do workers with her. She is also very smart on the flat and at our first and only BD test scored 72% with some lovely comments. Dressage isn't a huge priority for my sons and she has a lot more to give in this discipline. I also believe that with the right rider she could have the ability and heart to FEI pony trial.

Poppy has hunted with the Cambridge Draghounds and Cottesmore Hunt. She is sparkier to hunt but thoroughly enjoys it, jumps well and stands at the meet. For a confident child she is a good hunting pony.

Poppy is good to shoe, box, little twitchy to clip but fine without sedation. She is a tough pony and has never been sick or sorry. Her only fault is to box walk in certain situations but she won't do this at shows or in her stable of choice. Poppy has a very endearing character and is always happy to see you. She is bossy but in a nice, confident way. She is very trusting and easy for a child to manage on their own.

We have had so many wonderful times with this super pony. We will ask for references and a video please prior to trial. She deserves a nice rider and an experienced home and, although she is forgiving, she is a competition pony and needs a capable little rider. We would love to see her placed locally however the right home is our priority.

Available from early June, Poppy comes with everything - her Devoucoux jump saddle, Jefferies dressage saddle, bridle, boots and a mountain of rugs/hoods. No offers please - she is worth every penny.

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers. This tactic is a worldwide problem so we really appreciate our customer keeping us upto date and informed on any suspicious emails that they receive.

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a email scam commonly coming from a "Martha Gough" marthagough011@gmail.com and "Mary Susan" with an outlook email address, asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and an over payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud- https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ . For more details of the over payment scam please click HERE

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and in an over friendly style. Advice from Action Fraud is to cease corresponding and report it via their website https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/.

We’ve put together our top tips to help you avoid being caught out:

  • Do not deal with buyers proposing to transfer more money than required
  • Always ask for the buyers full name, telephone number, and address
  • Steer clear of money transfer services / bank transfers, instead, opt for a safer alternative ie PayPal
  • Keep a paper trail and always get a receipt

We are always here to help, so please give our team a call if you have any queries or concerns
