Heather is a very smart, Class one inspected, connemara broodmare. Shes very athletic, has a super loose jump and really extends in her movement. She has never been broken but has produced some super foals, both pure and part bred.

Heather is colour tested and is Perlino CrCr, EE so homozygous for cream, AA for agouti, so will not throw smokey black foals and she does not carry red or grey, so all her foals will be buckskin (dun). She is also N/N clear for Hoof Wall.

Heather is easy to keep & to get in foal, and lives well in a herd. She is used to living out all year round but comes in for foaling so can happily live in or out to suit. Heather is in-foal now to 16.3hh chestnut graded Irish Draught stallion (Tors Gentleman Farmer x Grosvenor Lad) and is due in June this year. Her buckskin colt from the same stallion last year can be seen here, hes real cracker with style and bone and should make around 16hh. Only for sale as we are giving up breeding. We have priced Heather at less than the price of the foal she is carrying to try to secure her a good long-term home.

• I jumped 5/6 double clears at 1.20 as a 5 y o and was ranked No 1 in 5 out of 6

Due on the 2nd June 2024. 

As a 5 y o I myself jumped in the age classes in Belgium up to 1.20 under Thomas Skilbecq , out of 6 outings I was ranked No 1 in 5 . Sadly I had an accident which cut short my own career. I do have another uterine brother, Cor d’Hoetsel Z who is a licensed stallion currently jumping at 1.30 in Ireland with Patrick McDermott with international wins at Hickstead and Hollypark. 

Despite having being used as a Broodmare for the last 6 years I am now completely sound and could therefore potentially be brought back into work if someone wanted to put the time into me. But I have taken 1st time every time even w frozen, and have beautiful big correct foals with no issues and everyone I meet loves me because I am as beautiful on the inside as the outside and very easy to have around.

I don’t have any vices, just the scar on my back leg unfortunately.

I am very excited to be having the Olympic legend Big Stars foal in June and because of my brother O’Connell street (originally registered as Ducaletto d’hoetsel ) he or she would be eligible for the bolesworth elite auction, but there is literally just no room for me and my baby to wait till then , so sadly I must find pastures new  ASAP hence my price.

Though I say it myself, I and my foal are a golden opportunity for someone who wants to breed their own superstars and who will let me earn my keep in the future. It’s also worth mentioning I have 50% blood and big floaty paces so I could also breed a lovely eventer.
