He was 3rd in the Queen Elizabeth Cup at Hickstead 2017, invited to jump at Geneva 5*, Mechelen, Horse of the Year Show and is now part of the Miami Celtics team for the Longines Global Champions League for 2018. Forest, as he is known at home, has the most wonderful temperament. He is a true gentleman in every aspect and loves to be fussed by the children.

All of his offspring to date look to have his beautiful personality, are big moving, have great power and a huge amount of scope.

Top Contender will this year be competing on the GCL for the team Miami Celtics, as well as 5* Nations Cups and many other 1.60m competitions under Michael Duffy ( IRE ).

He is graded with ‘Elite’ status with both AES and Breeders Elite.

LAURISTON, Top Contender’s father was winner of the German 6-year old jumping Championships in 1992 with the record score of 9.7 for style and scope. Bred by Paul Schockemohle.

He was purchased by the Bolvorm Stables, Holland, for 2 million DM IN 1992. Under the name of Bolvorm’s Lauriston, he continued his National and International career ridden by Jos Lansink and Ben Schroder, winning in Modena and Waterloo. Lauriston sired 10 International horses from his first crop of foals. Amongst these Catapult (Billy Twomey and Michael Whitaker) and Promise Me, Ian Miller’s Athens 2004 Olympic ride
