Willow is an extremely genuine pony; she has been ridden and loved for the past three years by my 12-year-old daughter. Willow loves people and is only for sale as she has been sadly outgrown.
Despite being only 13.2hh, Willow is powerful and will take up the leg. She constantly turns heads in a dressage arena and is a very comfortable ride. She is a very safe pony who would like a kind, quiet rider to form a new partnership with - she needs someone who enjoys competing and showing off as much as her!
She is good to hack alone, or in company and is safe in open spaces. She has been around farm machinery and is very good in traffic.
Since we bought Willow as a 7-year-old, she has taken part in various activities including residential camps, Pony Club rallies, numerous competitions and been part of NESA. She has also received professional schooling on a regular basis. Willow is the perfect pony for a competitive junior who wants to do well but is also a super safe and sensible type who can also step up for a more confident rider.
Willow is happy to turn her hoof to anything, we feel she is very talented and excels at dressage and is ideal for someone who wants to be competitive in this discipline. She is an absolute dressage diva, winning most times she goes out, regularly getting over 70% - she has finished in the Top 3 at Trailblazers the past 2 years. However, she also loves jumping, taking part in show jumping and cross country (jumping 60-80cm out and 90cm at home) and is not phased by fillers, water, ditches etc.
At home Willow has been training at Novice and at competitions we have been competing at Prelim level.
Some of her results include:
Trailblazers Championships – (72.1%) 2nd and (69.3%) 3rd
Wing Unaffiliated Championships – (70%) 1st
AGRC Unaffiliated Championships – (70.4%) 2nd
Bury Farm Unaffiliated Championships – (67.1%) 6th.
British Riding Club Championships – (68%) 6th
Up to date with the farrier, dentist and vaccinations, Willow has strong feet and is barefoot. She is easy to do and lives in or out. She is exceptionally well behaved at shows. Never clingy or nappy, she can be turned out alone or in company.
Willow is good to groom, plait, bathe, load, and travel. She doesn’t like the sound of clippers, so we always sedate her when being clipped (she is scared, not nasty). She’s fully vaccinated, wormed and her teeth up to date.
Willow has been previously shown at County Level and full history is known from a foal.
Please no time wasters, she’s a special pony and therefore a very difficult sale. We want only the best home. No loans, leases, or trials. Serious enquiries only and not for a first pony. We would love to stay in touch.
Healthy and sound and open to any vetting.
Tack and full wardrobe included – including recently checked saddle and two bridles.
