  • Mare

  • Moves very well with 3 expressive, rhythmical paces
  • Plenty of potential for dressage or showing
  • Did Pony Club camp this year

Registered Welsh Sec C Parvadean Darius x Peasedown Ronnie. A true kids pony!

Darcey is a very attractive pony with 4 white socks and a pretty white face. She has the sweetest, kindest temperament. A chilled out character who loves her cuddles and affection and is well handled by children. Very child friendly and good natured, has not bucked, reared or bolted.

Darcey moves very well with 3 expressive, rhythmical paces. Plenty of potential for dressage or showing. She is an easy and obedient ride, will work into the contact when asked. Not at all a fizzy whizzy type, she will trot along in her rhythm without racing off. Has had a bit of schooling with lots of room to be produced on by an older rider but so far Darcey has mostly been ridden by children. Can be a little nappy with a passive rider but will go without much resistance when ridden forward so won't be much of a problem for a stronger or forward thinking rider.

Darcey has not done much jumping. She will pop a tiny fence but would need bringing on in this area. She did Pony Club camp this year where she behaved impeccably and did a bit of cross country, including going through water.

Darcey is great to hack. She is good in open spaces and on the roads, not bothered by traffic or dogs. Ideal for adventures out with mom and dad! She is good in a group and not phased by other horses so could potentially hunt. Very easy keeper with good strong feet.

Passed a 2 stage vetting this year. For sale on behalf of a client. Serious enquiries to please call only, texts and e-mails may not be answered. Videos can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page just search 'Darcey'.

Super Competitive Experienced Competition Horse

Ref #: 257999
  • Absolute machine both cross country and showjumping
  • Super careful, really doesn't want to touch a pole
  • The ideal horse to start with BE or BS and build up
£8,000
  • Irish
  • Gelding
  • 11 years
  • 15.2 hands
  • Absolute machine both cross country and showjumping
  • Super careful, really doesn't want to touch a pole
  • The ideal horse to start with BE or BS and build up

No breeding recorded. Fun, forward, super competitive and experienced competition horse who loves to jump!

Rio is a sporty, compact, powerful model. He has been in the same home 4 years where he has been a consistent and competitive competition horse up to 100cm ODE and 105cm showjumping with plenty of scope to progress. He is a double clear machine who has been placed top 10 at every ODE he has run, including over BE courses like Dauntsey, West Wilts, Calmsden and Swalcliffe. Rio has not been affiliated due to owners preference so is the ideal horse to start with BE or BS and build up. He would be a very serious contender for BE Grassroots qualification.

Working well on the flat and produces a good test, Forward, responsive, obedient ride who will go best on the flat for a quiet and sympathetic rider. Schools quietly and is very willing with a great attitude to his work.

Jumping really is where Rio's strengths lie. He is an absolute machine both cross country and showjumping. He is quick over the ground and competitive against the clock. Super careful, really doesn't want to touch a pole and is unphased by fillers, trays and combinations. Rio can be a hot, forward, buzzy horse to jump so would not be suitable for a novice or a rider who likes to strangle them in. Would definitely also team chase. He would be ideal for a rider who is forward thinking and wants to be as competitive as he is and not just show up. Would suit a bold teenager or lightweight amateur.

Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities. He is a bright, forward ride who can be spooky about silly things to keep his brain occupied but never nasty, silly or when focusing on the job. Good to hack on his own and in company, better when in front. Good in traffic.

Rio is a really sweet boy. Lives in or out and is a pleasure to deal with and have on the yard. He is good and easy to do in all ways just needs sedalin for clipping. No quirks

This superstar is available at a fraction of his value due to having had PSD surgery on both hinds (neurectomy and fasciotomy) in February this year. This is thought to have been successful and Rio is in full work out jumping now. Open to full vet.

Very sad sale on behalf of a client. Serious enquiries to please call only, texts and e-mails may not be answered. Video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page just search 'Rio.'

  • Fit and ready to get on and go now

Knockmeal Jump For Joy - 15.3hh 6yo bay registered ISH mare. Ideal competitive amateurs horse for BS and BE.

Beautiful girl inside and out. An athletic, sporty model with good limbs and a great outlook. Cara has the sweetest nature, a kind, gentle, cuddly horse who thrives on a close relationship to her rider. She is a sensitive mare who really tunes in and tries very hard to respond to every request. For this reason she would best suit a quiet, competent, confident rider with good feel. She would not be suitable for a novice because she will pick up on subtle cues.

Cara rides well on the flat with a lovely soft mouth. She can have the odd fussy moment in the contact but the better you ride her the better she goes. Cara goes best on the flat for a rider with good feel and good hands. Not at all naughty or silly, Forward and responsive to the aids with basic laterals and flying changes established. She has a super attitude to her work and is very willing and trainable. A real pleasure to work with and will produce a lovely and correct test with the right rider. Did her first dressage test this year with lots of positive feedback from the judge.

Cara really excels over a fence. She is bold and brave, super careful and with plenty of scope to produce on. Forward to a fence and takes you in without being strong. Very rideable and adjustable but can help you out when needed. Goes best when allowed to keep travelling to a fence rather than being strangled in. Has also cross country schooled proving to be equally bold with plenty of stride to cover the ground. Has jumped training shows and hunter trials in Ireland and has plenty of scope and ability to go up the levels either BS or BE. Fit and ready to get on and go now.

Good to hack on her own and in company. Good on the roads and in open spaces. She is a bright, sporty horse who is alert to the world around her and will look at the odd scary thing. Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities, doesn't have a history of bucking/rearing/bolting etc.

A real sweetheart to do on the ground, good in every way, loads and travels like a pro. Suitable for a competitive teen.

Very sad sale of a much loved horse on behalf of a client. Must be seen. Some tack and rugs available separately.

  • Double dilute - guaranteed to throw palomino, dun or smokey black foals

  • Livery available for visiting mares

Orlando is not your traditional Section D and because of that he is able to offer bone and substance to the likes of a TB or WB mare, but also, with his beautiful dished head and lighter frame, he is able to refine the more traditional D mare.

A huge selling point for him is obviously his ability to produce a dilute foal! To a chestnut mare he guarantees to produce a palomino every single time. To bay and black mares he can produce buckskin, palomino and smokey black foals.

Orlando is WPCS licensed and is graded with the SPSS, taking Central Grading Champion for 2020 and Reserve Champion for Britain 2020. He was also the first Section D in AES history to be graded with the society. At both gradings he gained fabulous marks but the stand out would have to be 9's and 10's for his jumping ability and an 8.75 for his canter work!

Orlando is unique in many ways. He has shown his worth not just from the babies he has produced at the stud but for the mare owners who have used him, many of them several times over! He is the ultimate all rounder producer.... The type of stallion that can sire a foal who can go out and do a nice medium dressage test on Saturday and a 1.10m showjumping course on Sunday. The type of horse that you can leave out without a rug on in the rain and its not going to have melted away or become a major drama queen because you've dared to leave it out over night, The type that are intelligent and willing to learn and place implicit trust in you as their owner and ride Who wouldn't want that? Then to top it off... All of that in a beautiful golden colour package. What more could there be?

£400 NFFR. Collection fee applies for chilled orders which will be sent by Royal Mail next day delivery. Orders must be placed by 9am for next day delivery.

Quality Dressage/Showjump Prospect

  • 3 active, expressive paces
  • Shows serious potential and scope
  • A blank canvas with the basics established

Approx 17hh 7yo gelding Fontainebleu x Rubin R.

Floyd is a tall, attractive, upstanding model with great presence. He is a personable character who loves attention and always has time for a chat and a cuddle!

Working well on the flat with 3 active, expressive paces. He has good rhythm and cadence and shows good work into the bridle. Basics nicely established and ready to go out and do a test. Only has very limited jumping experience but when he has been put to a fence he shows serious potential and scope. Really doesn't want to touch a pole. A blank canvas with the basics established ready for someone to produce further for dressage or showjumping.

Really enjoys hacking, goes alone and in company. Good in traffic. Schools happily in open fields. A bold character who does sometimes just need his hand holding and a bit of reassurance, Good to do on the ground but he is a big, bold horse and will not suit someone who is easily intimidated by his size.

Lived in all winter, currently living out in a herd.

For the right person Floyd is a real find but he needs a confident and skilled rider. Not a novice ride.

Here are the important points about Floyd that need to be considered.

Floyd was only backed last year as a 6yo and has no worldly experience other than hacking and going away for residential schooling. He has not yet competed or schooled away but is certainly ready to get out and start. As a result Floyd has not spent a lot of time on a lorry and needs more practice with loading.

Floyd has previously been treated for ulcers which were thought to be caused by strain through his sacroilliac whilst a much weaker horse at the beginning of his schooling. This was successfully medicated and rehabbed. Floyd also has a smooth, settled bone chip which has been found to be of no clinical significance. Vet report available.

Can be a challenge to shoe.

For sale on behalf of a private owner. Serious enquiries to please call only. All video available on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page just search 'Floyd'

  • Approx 16.2hh 9yo IDSH x TB gelding. A true allrounder/hunter who is sure to be someone's horse of a lifetime.

Bertie is a beautiful model, nicely marked and well put together with a good mix of blood and substance. Wonderful kind, genuine, willing horse who always tries his heart out for you.

Bertie rides well on the flat with balanced paces and a good mouth. He is forward and responsive to the aids and will do a nice test. He is not a big or flashy mover and gives a comfortable ride. Bertie has a great attitude to his work and answers every question with a smile, he is a real pleasure to work with and is very open to learning new things. He will best suit a kind rider with an independent seat and nice hands. If you pull on him he will just pull back. Currently in a snaffle for all activities.

Very bold to a fence and loves his jumping. Careful and with good scope. Would BE or BS. Takes you into a fence whilst remaining very rideable and really gives you confidence and makes you smile. Hunted well the last 2 seasons with the Heythop and North Cotswold. Has competed in unaffiliated showing, eventing to 90 and showjumping to 1m. Would certainly be useful in any sphere and is the ideal competitive allrounder who is ready to have a go at whatever his rider desires and do it well. Ideal first hunter, first competition horse or first horse from ponies. Would be suitable for confident teen or amateur and is the ideal horse for someone who has done their time on the silly youngsters/hot heads and now just wants some dependable fun without sacrificing on the quality and engine. Has a bit about him but never silly with it.

Bertie is brilliant to hack and will go alone and in company. Not phased by traffic and makes a great nanny! Good in open spaces and will school politely in the field. Not at all hot, silly or strong. Gives you confidence and a feeling of security.

Full history known from a foal. Current owner has had him 4 years and bought direct from the breeder. Very easy keeper, will live in or out and is a pleasure to have on the yard. Very user-friendly in all ways and will stand on the lorry all day. No quirks or vices. A sort very hard to find and highly desired!

  • Would do all RC activities alongside a good season's hunting

172cm 5yo Irish Draught x gelding by Huntingfield Sunny C. A quality hunter stamp who will turn his hoof to anything.

Quality, upstanding model. Compact and sporty for his type. Light in his step and in the hand, does not ride big or heavy and is very manoeuvrable. Did a few days hunting his 4yo season and would be ready to go out on exercise now. With his size he would make a super gentleman's hunter but is certainly rideable enough for a lady and is regularly ridden here by small female riders under 5ft2.

Rides quietly on the flat, holds himself well without much input and is obedient to the aids. Forward off the leg without being strong or sharp and gives a very comfortable, enjoyable ride. Is not a big flashy mover who will blow anyone away in the dressage arena but would certainly do an obedient enough test for riding club or eventing with the right rider. Ready to go out and try a Prelim now.

Bold, polite and rideable to a fence, maintains his rhythm and takes you in without being strong. Happily jumping round a course at training shows and out schooling including fillers and trays. Not far off being ready for a British Novice. Can be a bit green and wobbly but always super genuine and will always go, giving everything his best effort. Bold cross country schooling including ditches, bank, water. Has also been schooling over hedges in preparation for the hunting season. Out doing fun rides now. Very willing and trainable. Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities. Ready for a BE80 now. Would do all riding club activities alongside a good season's hunting.

Good to hack, goes alone and in company and has been no bother on the roads or in open spaces.

Goggles is good to do on the ground and has a very lovable, genuine nature. Kind and sweet, a real gentle giant who wouldn't intentionally hurt a fly. Sometimes looks to his rider for reassurance where a little goes a long way! He tries desperately hard to be brave and get things right. He will sometimes whinny when feeling a bit insecure so he needs a rider who isn't going to fall apart at the realisation that the horse they're on is actually a living breathing thinking animal. Never nasty or naughty just needs a confident rider who isn't going to be intimidated by a big horse breathing out.

Serious enquiries to please call only. Texts and messages may not be answered. All video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page by searching the term 'Goggles.'
