15.2hh 4yo Irish Cob gelding. Top quality allrounder with a heart of gold, exactly what everyone is looking for.

Jim Doyle is a stunning model. Compact, correct, well marked and doesn't feel like you're riding a table! Potential to show as a maxi cob but has shown the aptitude to be able to try his hand at pretty much anything!

Jim Doyle is showing promising work in the school. He moves very well across all three paces and is light in the hand with a mouth like butter. Weak and wobbly in the school due to age but he is obedient to the aids and really tries so hard to please, a balanced rider makes all the difference to him. With his paces and trainability he has all the potential to do a super test with the right production. He has not been over produced and is currently benefitting from a well rounded education of hacking, fun rides, cross country schooling and local shows to establish the basics.

Very sweet over a fence and is out jumping at shows and clear rounds. Not at all phased by fillers. Has done fun rides and cross country schooling, always behaving impeccably. Has been done very sympathetically, always jumps everything first time and has schooled water, ditch and bank. Would look very impressive on the hunt field.

Excellent to hack, goes on his own or in company. Good on the roads and in open spaces, always ridden in a snaffle. No vices or quirks, very straightforward horse with a personable, friendly disposition. He is a quiet, chilled out guy who really does seem to take everything in his stride with the attitude of a horse that has been here before! Wise head on young shoulders - but just remember that he is 4 and weak in the school.

Good to handle and do on the ground in all ways. Can be ridden by a novice.

Serious enquiries to please call only. Texts and messages won't be answered. All video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page by searching for 'Jim Doyle' using the search function. If you message or call me asking for videos I will know you haven't read the ad.

  • 17hh 10yo registered Irish Draught mare Gurraun Golden Eye x Crosstown Dancer x Annaghdown Star. The elusive sane and sensible Irish Draught unicorn!

Aurora is a strapping, sturdy stamp without being heavy. She has good bone and chest but isn't overly wide, she gives you a lovely secure feeling in the saddle and a comfortable ride. Has been owned for the last 4 years by a young lady rider but has plenty of bone to carry a man hunting all day.

Aurora was bought directly from Ireland as a 6yo where she had hunted and shown and she would continue to make a cracking hunter for a lady or gentleman rider.

Has done all Pony Club activities with her young rider as well as unaffiliated dressage and showjumping up to 90cm. Cross country schooled, done lots of fun rides and plenty of hacking around Greater London. Aurora is a true allrounder and a real confidence giver. Kind, gentle and very forgiving, she will give anything a go and try her best with a smile on her face. Currently ridden in a snaffle for all activities.

Good to hack out alone and in company. Good in open spaces and on the roads. Nicely forward and quietly responsive without being at all sharp. Doesn't get hot in a group.

Very straightforward both on the ground and ridden. She has no history of vices under saddle and has done a fantastic job of being her owner's first horse. Cuddly and affectionate on the ground, will live in or out with no quirks or vices. A pleasure to have around and a real horse of a lifetime who will be appreciated by the whole family and become part of it.

For sale on behalf of a client. Price reduced to reflect presence of possible well hidden sarcoid which has been present and unchanged throughout current ownership. Serious enquiries to please call ONLY. Texts and messages will not be answered. All video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page please search for 'Aurora'

POCKET ROCKET POWERHOUSE

Ref #: 280655
  • A real pocket rocket powerhouse jumping / hunting machine type with a sane and sensible head
  • Super genuine and trainable and a real contender for showjumping, eventing or hunting

  • 16 hands
  • A real pocket rocket powerhouse jumping / hunting machine type with a sane and sensible head
  • Super genuine and trainable and a real contender for showjumping, eventing or hunting

16hh 5yo Irish Sports Horse type gelding. No breeding recorded. A real pocket rocket powerhouse jumping/hunting machine type with a sane and sensible head. Super genuine and trainable and a real contender for showjumping, eventing or hunting. Needs a competent, confident rider.

This guy is a complete freak of nature for his combination of brain, temperament and ability. A smart, athletic model with a bit of substance and plenty of frame still to fill. He is very level headed and super consistent - he is exactly the same every day, wherever he is, whether that's schooling at home, hacking, competing or hunting.

Last year as a 4yo his focus was on going out and seeing the world rather than being hammered in the school and so he is still a bit green in his schooling. However as a result he does have a real professional attitude. Last year he competed in showjumping to 90cm, dressage to Prelim, ODEs at 80cm as well as hunting, fun rides and lots of hacking. He was then turned away all winter and spring and given time to mature and chill out which has really benefitted him. Now back in work and competing and training regularly.

Moves very well across all 3 paces. Big walk, active trot and a powerful, uphill canter with plenty of gears waiting to establish as he strengthens up and matures. Offers some nice work into the bridle and has gained some respectable marks at Prelim level already, including a 31 at his first ever event last year showing he is certainly capable of sub 30 scores in future with the right rider. He is well balanced and obedient but green still in his schooling due to spending time on other activities. He is big moving and a forward, responsive ride with a massive engine - think Ferrari. He tries very hard to do exactly what he thinks you are asking so he needs a balanced, competent rider with an independent seat. The better you ride him the better he goes.

One of the boldest horses I've sat on to a fence. Showing immense scope and desire to clear the jump and leave it up. Well balanced and rhythmical round a course and rarely looks at a thing but he is a forward, onward bound, competitive type. Locks on and takes you in whilst still staying rideable and gives every fence his absolute best shot, stays straight through doubles and combinations. Doesn't go looking for a way out. Plenty of stride, opens up very well cross country so should not struggle to make the time. Ready for a British Novice now. Has done a couple of one day events at 80 and would be a great contender for Cotswold Cup or BE next season with the right production.

Has done plenty of fun rides and hunting, continuing to keep a sane and level head at all times whilst keen and capable to answer all questions. Good in a group, doesn't get silly and is mannerly at all times.

Balto is a serious contender for any discipline and is ready to crack on and continue where we leave off. He hasn't been hammered in the school, rather that time has been spent taking him out and about and seeing as much of the world as possible.

Hacks alone and in company, good on the roads and in open spaces. Leads or follows and is often the horse we put random people on when we need an extra! Sound with no medical history or notes. Balto is good and mannerly on the ground but he can be a sensitive soul and has previously been put off people through the viewing process where they have come in too aggressive. He is not the kind of horse that will be happy with you and all your mates and family bursting into the stable grabbing at his legs and tail - that will make him cross. Treat him with respect and he will respect you back. We will be picky on who we allow to view Balto and will stop viewings if we don't think the match is right, no matter how far you've driven. Please be honest and realistic with your ability and expectations when phoning.

Balto lives in or out and is currently living out in a herd. Very straightforward and a pleasure to have around. Currently doing very well barefoot. Very genuine, willing and trainable horse who enjoys the job. He has plenty of scope for a competitive amateur to produce on seriously into any discipline and the attitude and maturity to make it such a rewarding experience. Absolutely no quirks or vices but he is a quality sports horse and not a dog or a donkey so needs to be treated with due respect.

Price will increase the more he does. Serious enquiries to please call ONLY. Texts, e-mails and WhatsApp messages WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. All video can be found on the Facebook page just search Amy Derber Equestrian Balto.

  • For the right person Vinnie is a straightforward, user-friendly horse for a competitive rider to take on to great things and be the horse of a lifetime!

Approx 16.3hh 6yo registered ISH gelding Mountain Diamond x Cruising x Clover Hill. Top quality proven amateur event prospect ready to progress.

Vinnie is a stunning, eye-catching model with highly sought after traditional Irish breeding. He has good bone and barrel without being heavy and a sweet outlook. A real Grassroots contender with the potential and breeding to go on, with a maternal brother competing at 3*. Fully history known as originally sourced from the breeder in Ireland.

Working well on the flat with 3 good paces. He is light in the hand and a responsive, obedient ride without being sharp. Produces a calm and obedient test often in the 20s or early 30s, most recently scoring a 28.3 at Oxstalls Cotswold Cup in June. Also part of the winning team in the E-riders dressage league. Has started training flying changes, counter canter and medium trot. `Very willing and eager to please with a great attitude to his work.

Well established at 80cm, attended many of the Cotswold Cup events in 2021, finishing 3rd at Gatcombe. Finished 10th at his first BE80 with a 32 dressage double clear. Most recently he was 2nd in the Cotswold Cup at Oxstalls in June with a 28 dressage double clear and is finding it very easy at this level. Ready for BE90 now and could go BE100 by the end of the season with the right rider. Potential to go on with the right rider or make a super competitive Grassroots prospect.

Hunted a season and a half with the County Roscommon and would make a super hunter to go on with, suitable for lady or gentleman rider. Loves to jump and is very genuine to a fence. Super bold, takes you in nicely without being strong, very rideable and unphased by different types of fences. As well as eventing Vinnie has taken part in dressage, combined training and showjumping.

Hacks alone and in company, good with traffic and farm machinery. Doesn't need riding every day. No vices, good to do in all ways and up to date with everything. Turns out in a mixed herd and plays well with others.

Good in the stable with good manners and a lovely, friendly character. Always greets you with a smile on his face and loves attention. Enjoys a fuss and is good with children and dogs.

Has bucked on a couple of occasions when excited as a young, quality, fit horse might but nothing to get excited about. Has been produced by a teenager under professional guidance and is suitable for a competent, competitive teenager or amateur. Please keep in mind that he is a young, powerful, quality horse with a brain and you need to respect the fact that you are riding him. Like all young horses he can occasionally test his rider and therefore not a novice ride and would suit a competitive home.

Vinnie is admired everywhere he goes and is loved by everyone. We would like him to go to someone who loves their horses and doesn't just want a machine - he needs his kisses and cuddles! For the right person Vinnie is a straightforward, user-friendly horse for a competitive rider to take on to great things and be the horse of a lifetime!

For sale on behalf of a client. Serious enquiries to please CALL ONLY. Texts and messages WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. All video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page by searching 'Vinnie.

TOP QUALITY PROSPECT

  • Quality junior event / allrounder prospect

  • Gelding
  • 5 years
  • 15.2 hands
  • Quality junior event / allrounder prospect

15.2hh 5yo grey registered ISH gelding from Cavalier Royale lines. Seriously quality prospect for junior or amateur.

Cobalt is an incredibly classy young horse, compact and athletic with good bone and limbs. He has great presence and really stands out in a crowd, drawing comments whenever we take him out. Although he is only 15.2hh Cobalt rides very much like a horse rather than a big pony and has plenty of stride.

Cobalt is working sweetly on the flat with 3 good paces. He is obedient and responsive to the aids with a lovely mouth that deserves equally lovely hands. Holds himself nicely into a shape without the need for faffing. He is a little wobbly still but improves every day. Tries very hard and is very trainable but he is a classy, sensitive young horse that deserves a competent, confident, well balanced rider who will treat and produce him with respect. Please no novices. Has started doing local dressage and could excel in this area with the right production.

Regularly out cross country schooling including water, ditches, banks. Bold with different types of fences and has done a mini hunter trial. Covers the ground well and has plenty of potential to make a really quality junior or amateur event horse with the right production. Has done fun rides where he behaved impeccably, happily cantering at the back or in the middle on a loose rein in a snaffle and not at all phased by the other horses getting close to him. Lovely chilled out character that really takes life in his stride. Would make a fabulous hunter.

Showing real quality and scope over a fence. He is bold and wants to leave them up, takes you into a fence nicely and doesn't get silly on the other side. Now jumping local shows and clear rounds at 70cm, ready to move up.

Great to hack, good on the roads and in open spaces, has only ever been ridden in a snaffle. He is a sweet, friendly chap who very much wants to get to know you and get things right but he is a sensitive soul with a bit about him and still a bit wary on the ground with strangers. He is not the kind of horse that will tolerate the viewings where 4 random strangers go barging into his stable grabbing at his legs and poking and squeezing him all over - we are going to be very picky on who we allow to view and it is very important to us that he is treated kindly and with respect.

Right home is of utmost importance.

Serious enquiries to please call only.  Is thought to have what may possibly be a very small sarcoid on his sheath which will not affect his performance or soundness and is best left alone. TEXTS AND MESSAGES WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. All video can be found by searching 'Cobalt' on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page. There is a pinned post showing you how to search for video.

  • We are told that he has competed previously up to 1.10m unaffiliated and really enjoys his polework

16.2hh 10yo bay British-bred Oldenburg gelding Cooper van de Heffink x Argentinus.

Teddy is a big, quality horse with a lovely old-fashioned Warmblood frame and sweet outlook. He has been in the same home for 2 years and his full history is known. Bred in the UK by the Corhampton Stud and initially produced for showjumping before focusing on dressage with his current owner, who is his third home.

Teddy has competed to Novice level dressage and is schooling Elementary at home. Competed regularly at unaffiliated and twice at BD at a home competition venue,

Lockdown period and lack of finances sadly has restricted the amount of competition time. Average scores of high 60s/70%. He has 3 lovely, rideable, balanced paces and established lateral work and counter canter. Showing a natural ability for collection. Teddy is a forward and responsive ride who desperately wants to get it right for you. Great potential to produce up the levels for the right rider.

Teddy can be a sensitive soul and he so wants to please that he will always do his absolute best to answer any question you ask. He takes his confidence from his rider so requires a confident, capable, quiet rider who is able to ride from the seat.

Teddy has not been jumped by his current owner due to personal preference but we are told that he has competed previously up to 1.10m unaffiliated and really enjoys his polework. Teddy has been bred and produced to jump so he could make an interesting event prospect for the right rider. We have not jumped him here.

Teddy is good to hack both alone and in company and both on and off road.

A kind, genuine, sweet horse who really thrives on a close relationship with his person. He is a pleasure to have around and has never entertained a bad thought in his head. Good to do on the ground in all ways with no quirks or vices. Has loaded and traveled in a lorry, trailer and 3.5t. Good to clip, catch and with his feet.

Teddy can be a bit of a worrier and take a minute to settle and build his relationship with his new rider. Once he trusts you he will do anything for you but he does need a confident rider who is able to give him the time and space to get their relationship off to the best start.

Passed a 5 stage vetting in May 2020 and has no history of lameness or health issues with current owner. Teddy is a good doer with excellent feet and has been barefoot for the last 2 years with absolutely no issues. Will live in or out and gets on very well in a herd - he would prefer this to individual turnout.

For the right home Teddy really is the horse of a lifetime with so much to teach his rider but also so willing and able to learn.

  • Could be equally at home as a happy hacker and big pet!

15.3hh 4yo chestnut traditional Irish Sports Horse Mountain Diamond x Presenting. Super genuine allrounder with tons of personality!

Fish is a traditionally bred Irish Sports Horse with the perfect mix of blood and substance, not too heavy not too light. Athletic and sporty with a willing and trainable nature, Fish wants to please and loves to play! He is playful and sweet whilst also being quiet and sensible, he is not sharp or silly and would be more kick than pull. Ridden by teenagers and nervous riders although he would better suit a confident rider due to his age.

Fish is the sweetest character, he has loads of personality and just wants to be cuddled and played with. Good to handle and do on the ground in all ways - think oversized labrador! He will follow you around and always greets you with a smile, he would really thrive in a family or private environment where he can be doted on and adored.

Fish has been produced slowly and sympathetically, mostly doing outside activities. He has done loads of hacking and is good on the roads and in open spaces. He has hacked on his own and in company and has also done fun rides in a group, where he behaved impeccably. He is out cross country schooling regularly which he loves and is ready for some baby hunter trials. Good with water, ditches and banks and is happy to trot and pop round, he doesn't hot up or get silly and has only ever been ridden in a snaffle.

Fish is green but genuine in the school, working quietly and has a lovely mouth with natural carriage - you don't have to do much except ride him forward. He is responsive and obedient and tries very hard for you. Confidently jumping coloured poles and fillers and out jumping at local shows now. Good in a show environment, doesn't get hot or silly he is more likely to stop and stare than do anything sharp or quick.

For a competent confident rider Fish really is such a rewarding young horse to work with who will greatly benefit from someone who will continue to make things fun for him as he matures. He has a great brain and attitude to life in general and wants to please and I really think he will come out swinging in his 5yo year with the right person. Enough quality to be produced into a top end Riding Club allrounder but equally sane enough to be a happy hacker or big pet!

No vices just a big smile and lots of character. Serious enquiries to please call only, messages and emails may not be answered. All video can be found on the Amy Derber Equestrian Facebook page just use the search facility to search for 'Fish.'

  • Livery available for visiting mares
  • Please call to book in your mare or to order semen

2011 15hh Cremello Welsh D graded AES, SPSS and WPCS.

Orlando is not your traditional Section D - he is able to offer bone and substance to a lighter TB or WB mare whilst also being able to refine a more traditional D or heavier mare. This combined with his exceptional temperament and versatility under saddle means that he is always a good choice for any mare. And you get the added bonus of being able to predict the colour of your foal! A chestnut mare will always guarantee a palomino, whereas a bay or black mare can produce a buckskin, palomino or smokey black foal.

Orlando is WPCS licensed and is graded with the SPSS, taking Central Grading Champion for 2020 and Reserve Champion for Britain 2020. He is also the first Section D in AES history to be graded with the society - a true sports D! At both gradings he gained fabulous marks but the stand out would have to be 9's and 10's for his jumping ability and an 8.75 for his canter work.

A true allrounder himself, Orlando regularly competes in dressage, showjumping and eventing as well as participating in hunting, fun rides, working equitation and whatever else we happen to fancy trying that day! He also knows how to switch it on for a competitive rider and dial it back for a child or nervous rider who needs a bit of confidence.

It is no surprise then that Orlando is the ultimate all rounder producer. He has proven himself time and time again, not just in the progeny he produces but for the mare owners who have used him, many of them several times over! He is the type of stallion who will sire a foal who can go out and do a nice medium dressage test on Saturday and a 1.10m showjumping course on Sunday. The type of horse that you can leave without a rug and know it won't melt in the rain or have a nervous breakdown because it's been left out over night. The type that are intelligent, willing to learn and place implicit trust in you as their owner and rider. And then to top it all off......All of that in a beautiful golden package. What more could you want?

£500 NFFR. £450 for visiting or multiple mares.
