Bayfield Stud was founded in early 2013 by Duncan and Caroline Cooper.
After continually having to travel to Holland and Germany to purchase top quality horses, they realised the need for the UK to be producing their own world class horses.
After much research into the best bloodlines and travelling to many stallion shows to view young stallions, they sourced broodmares with exceptional dam lines, believing that the dam line is as, if not more important, than the choice of stallion. They then used their knowledge to choose top European stallions to compliment these mares.
The results have already shown, with an Elite colt born in 2014 winning the BEF Futurity at Plumpton with an outstanding score of 9.33.
Between them, Duncan and Caroline have a combined experience of over 45 years working with elite sport horses and specialising in training young horses. They have many trusted contacts throughout Europe, only accepting the best horses.
