Sparky is the favourite of the yard his cheeky but kind and gentle soul catches everyone’s heart. He loves attention and a good fuss.

3yo this year although behaves a lot older. He’s up to date with worming, jabs, teeth and has been seen by the farrier.

Is lightly backed and has not been phased by anything put in front of him. Seen all farm machinery. Hacks out alone and in company. Trots over poles just very green in the arena due to his age.

13hh currently expected to make 13.2.

Ponies like him are like gold dust I’m sure he will turn his hoof to anything.

Looking for a 5* home for this much loved little man.

Frea is a bright 8 year old mare with so much to give. She is a a real yard favorite with so much untapped potential
She hacks alone or in company! Very good in traffic.Good to shoe and clip etc
She is becoming confident in all disciplines and is proving to be quite the talented little horse . All done in a snaffle. She goes well in a dressage saddle and has told the animal communicator about her big dressage dreams :)
She is up to date with vaccines, teeth chiropractor etc
Copes well around kids.
She has been out and about a few times and not put a foot wrong , I will continue to take her out and further her education. Has potential to be a great ROR show horse.

As awesome as frea is she is still learning so needs a confident capable rider with a good understanding.
Prices at 5k , however would consider offers to a good home ??

  • Horses live at home
  • Over 30 years experience with all types
  • Kind, knowledgeable and genuine home offered

I am a professional working woman looking for my next steed to join the family. We lost our beloved boy to colic last year after many happy years together but feel the time is now right to look for a new friend to have fun with.

Our horses live at home and want for nothing. We live at the end of a No through lane with plenty of off road/quiet lane hacking.

We have a Charles britton arena with soundtrack surface. Permanent stabling (been here 400 years!) and Post and rail fenced paddocks. I am 40 years old and am not looking to go to the olympics. I would love an all rounder to go out and about and enjoy making memories.

We have A 3.5t Horsebox and thetford forest for day trips is only an hour away. I do enjoy flat work so horse must be sound and able to school 3-4 times per week.

Happy to keep in touch with previous owner. Kind, experienced and genuine home awaits. I am not in the business of buying a horse to sell on 5 minutes, indeed, I have only ever sold one horse in the past 30 years!

Wanted Small Horse / Large Pony

Ref #: 343591
  • Safe , Sane, Sensible Confidence Giver 14 hh Middleweight / chunky type - 15-2hh small horse

  • Safe , Sane, Sensible Confidence Giver 14 hh Middleweight / chunky type - 15-2hh small horse
  • Easy to do, and safe to hack out , not spooky or scared of traffic. 8 - 16 yrs
  • Adult Lady rider seeking a best friend for hacking and low level dressage, S J and X C .

I am looking for a normal everyday type of pony / horse. Something that will carry a lightweight adult lady. Preferably about 14-2hh medium weight type or a smaller cob , maximum up to 15-2hh. I would like to be able to hack out safely on my own and with company so must be good with traffic. I would also like to be able to attend some dressage competitions, go to a local adult camp, take part in low level show jumping and maybe pop round a small X C course.

The right horse / pony will be easy to do, easy to load and be calm and sensible when out and about. An older horse would fit the bill , maybe looking to step down a gear. I can offer a very kind sympathetic home , with a vast amount of knowledge, Vet, Farrier and Pony Club D C all in immediate family.

Family farm to retire to when can no longer be ridden.

I do not want a potential Hickstead show jumper or an Olympic dressage horse , nor to go to HOYS nothing that has potential , just something that can come home with me now and get me back riding .

A sensible budget available for the right animal, possibly something that a teen has outgrown , or something that cant quite make the big fences, or a retired show horse / pony

Please phone 07766732619 if you have anything that might suit South West area but can travel within reason. Please email pics / videos via Horsequest.

Superb jumping pony

  • Bombproof in traffic, used to articulated vehicles
  • Very easy to do on the ground

Levi is a super bold gelding with a passion for jumping, he will turn his hoof to anything. Not afraid of fillers or XC fences and we suspect has a history of hunting.

We bought Levi for our riding school back in November however unfortunately he is not the novice ride we had hoped he would be and would be better suited to a 1:1 with someone that wants to go out an have some fun.

He is extremely easy to do on the ground, great to catch, groom, tack up, clip etc. Levi will hack in company and we are situated on a busy main road where we are regularly exposed to articulated vehicles which he is completely unfazed about.

Levi will hack alone but can be nappy however we do not do this often and I'm sure if he did this more regularly it wouldn't be a problem. Levi has recently been vetted but unfortunately will not pass flexion tests which reflects in the price.

However don't let this put you off, this pony still has a lot of life left in him and loves his ridden work.

He also recently passed the riding school vet check and was found suitable to be ridden. He is a really fantastic pony for a more experienced rider to enjoy, he is currently ridden by a 16yo girl who absolutely loves him.

Levi will thrive in a home where he can bond with one person and carry on enjoying his jumping.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

  • Ready to contend novice 15hh classes
  • Competed in arena eventing, unaff SJ, dressage and WH
Available on behalf of his breeder due to not having a rider the correct age to compete him in showing classes. Jim is an absolute delight in all ways and I love having him on the yard and riding him so its incredibly frustrating that I am too old to compete him myself!

He has successfully competed in training stakes, dressage, arena eventing, SJ up to 85cm at the moment and has had a great varied education with a variety of different riders during his life so far - he is now ready for somebody to take over the reins and have endless amounts of fun with him. Excellent to hack, bath, clip, take to shows, live in, live out etc. He really is a yard favourite and everybody loves him...

He is scopey, bold and brave over fences and incredibly willing and honest. I believe he would be an incredible eventer for a teen with further education and time, but we have focussed our attention on producing him for working hunter classes. He has the potential to be a top HOYS contender and we would love to see him fulfil that potential.

He'd be an incredible competitive PC horse too but I will not let him to go anybody under the age of 13 (if competent). I don't believe on putting tiny children o horses before they are able to actually ride them correctly. Jim is so honest, he deserves the best. He is sane and sensible, forward thinking but polite and only ever wants to please.

The time has been taken to give this horse the best start to his life and nothing has been rushed so please only enquire if you can offer him a lovely home.

Stunning Welsh D Mare

£4,995 OVNO
  • Welsh Section D
  • Bright bay
  • Mare
  • 12 years
  • 14.2 hands
  • Bombproof in traffic
  • 3 lovely paces
  • Impeccable Manners very easy on the ground

Striking 14.3h registered Welsh D mare with lovely traditional breeding.

Rose is our much loved family pony who we've had for the last 3 years, sadly for sale as moving onto horses.

Rose is kind, super easy, not a typical Welsh on the ground, with fantastic stable manners. She is suited to a small experienced adult or teen. We feel she would be best suited as a happy hacker/ pleasure ride type or low level riding club, she could also excel in Dressage or showing.

She's great in heavy traffic, and my daughter regularly hacks through a busy town to get to the beach, she is keen to have a gallop on open spaces / beach but has brakes and was really well behaved on her first hunt in February.

She is good for the vet, farrier and teeth, but requires sedation for clipping. She travels well on trailer or wagon, will stand at shows without being silly.
She is low millage as was a happy hacker in her previous home, full history known.

Rose was successfully shown in hand and ridden as a youngster. She has done ridden showing with us locally and placed each time. She has been on hunt and riding club pleasure rides and was very well behaved. We've done all pony club activities sj, odes attended pony club camp, and attend pc champs she was amazing at her first stay away show.

We have done some local small ODEs but has recently lost her confidence jumping bigger competitive classes, therefore not looking for her to go to someone wanting to compete seriously. She will happily pop a jump and with an experienced kind rider, time and patience, her love for jumping may return.

We're based on a large livery yard on a working farm, so shes excellent with farm machinery, cows / sheep. She's in a herd and mixes well. We have limited turn out Oct/ April which she copes with really well, never stressy without turnout as long as ridden.

She has super movement and 3 balanced paces, she rides like a horse rather than a pony. She isn't that forward schooling and requires leg. Scoring low 30's for dressage in 4 odes last year and could really see her doing well with Dressage or showing.

She has no recent health history, hasn't seen a vet in over a year and a half, she has however been previously treated for ulcers and is a windsucker through habit after food.

Priced to sell as home is very important to us, may consider a LWVTB if local so home can be vetted and references supplied. More videos available on request.

Absolutely heart breaking sale, she has a lot to give and will make someone very happy, no time wasters or dealers, will only go to a 5 * home.

Done a little bit of everything but still very low mileage due to owners busy schedule.

Been to PC Camp and done some arena eventing. Been on pleasure rides and to the beach.

Schools well on the flat, still a little green but easy and willing.

Snaffle mouthed, but can be forward going, thus making him unsuitable for a novice or nervous rider.

Lovely stamp or a little horse. Would make a great WHP with a bit more schooling and mileage.

She has competed in unaffiliated show jumping and cross country up to 80cms, she has the ability and attitude to go further.

Her dressage is the phase she finds trickiest as takes her a while to settle into a good contact which we think will improve over time.

She is great to hack, shoe and to take out and about in the lorry.

She will make a great partner for someone to go out and about and have fun on.

Rev is a 15hh bay gelding, 13 years old, Welsh section D.

l have had him 4 years and we have done a variety of disciplines. Hunter trial, cross country, team chase, show jumping and fun rides.

Rev loves jumping, he can sometimes be a typical Welsh and be a bit strong but that’s literally it nothing nasty.

Ideally would like him to go to someone who could take him out competing and has plenty of time to spoil him. He would make a great hunter or pony club horse.

Good out hacking alone or with other horses. He lives outside the whole time in the summer and in the winter just comes in at night time. Good loading, travelling, clipping and shoeing.

Lives on a farm so is used to sheep, cattle and dogs. Will be sold with all tack and rugs. Not a novice ride

One to suit all the family!

On behalf of client:

Mia

Stunning over-height Connemara part-bred, ready to excel in any discipline.

Currently measures in just shy of 15hh (likely to mature at 15.1hh), rising 5yo dapple grey Connie X mare. Her breeding is unfortunately unrecorded but she oozes quality and reflects a very nice mix of Connemara and possible ID breeding.

Mia is proving herself as a superb all-rounder with a great attitude to work and a natural talent for jumping. She has been lightly produced since being broken last year, having had time away to mature over the winter. She is unspoilt and ready to further her education with someone who has a good understanding of youngsters.

Mia has been out to local training shows and is performing clear confident rounds at 60cm, she is jumping 70cm at home (SJ & XC) and has loose jumped over 90cm fences with ease. She really loves her jumping and will take you to a fence despite her relative inexperience, she's not phased by fillers in the slightest.

Mia has XC schooled up to 70cm, she doesn't hesitate into water and has breezed over ditches. Mia has also completed a hound exercise at the end of last year and proved sensible.

She works into a natural frame on the flat with ground-covering paces. She progressing well on the flat. She is active & responsive but not in the slightest bit fizzy.

Mia will hack alone and in company safely. She likes to lead but will go behind when asked. She is proven in a wide variety of traffic (including tractors, motorbikes and bicycles). She is safe in open spaces and hacks quietly around our 120acre farm, riding out past our stallions with no bother.

Mia would suit someone wanting put their own stamp on a quality youngster. She's seen enough of the world to prove reliable in all disciplines but has a relatively low mileage/unspoilt.

She is excellent to groom, load, clip, bath, lead, catch, for vet & farrier and is just generally a lovely person to be around. Currently barefoot and on minimal feed so is a low-maintenance good-doer!

This mare has a very bright future and is ideally looking for her forever home.

Only for sale due to her current owner not having enough time to run two horses with a young family & busy work schedule.

Price negotiable to the right home.
Some tack available by separate negotiation.
