Top class 7 year old full up 148 Connemara, to make his way to the top of the European pony circuit. With talent to burn, this pony has a lovely scopey technique over fences and a ground covering length of stride, making him a natural for those HOYS classes, with only 150 points to his name.

Imported by John Breen early 2023, this well bred Connie can jump 1.30m+ with ease. After a stint with a top Belgian pony rider to produce, he was brought back to the UK early 2024 to start his BS career in the hands of a then 12 year old. With an FEI measure in place, the pair quickly gathered wins and placings including an 8th at POYS, and started to collect his Novice, Discovery and Newcomer double clears. Has already qualified for the Discovery Final at the 2025 Nationals. Has also jumped in the Hickstead International Ring in the summer 2024 NSEA Hickstead Junior Championship. Now starting to collect Newcomers and Foxhunter clears for 2026.

Bought as part of a master plan for a zero points HOYS prospect with good breeding, fabulous scope and good X-rays, he ticks every box for someone wanting to finish producing him up through the HOYS Newcomers and Foxhunter classes, with plenty of scope to go further. Small hitch in the master plan was the jockey he was bought for did not try him at purchase as he was in Belgium, and it turns out he’s not her type of ride at all - she prefers the buzzier very fizzy type, and is still developing the skill set to produce a young pony of this calibre unsupported. Since then, he’s been slowly and correctly produced over recent months.

A safe type, never sharp or silly, lovely to hack alone or in company, has hunted and is good to load, shoe and excellent to clip. A friendly young humorous gentleman to have on the yard, he is easy to handle and a delight to have around - except he will take the phone out of your back pocket given half a chance!
