Melvin works nicely on the flat with three rhythmic paces although green he has a great brain and is a pleasure to work with. Is riding correctly into the bridle, has a lovely balanced trot that will score well dressage and now building on a strong balanced canter.

Jumping he is bold and brave with a scopey jump. Unfazed by solid fences, happily poping xc fences with no hassle. Also jumping round a small course of fences willingly.

Melvin is the ideal horse for someone wanting to produce a youngster and make him their own, equally safe and sane enough for allrounder/riding club horse, a total ladies horse. He still needs plenty of building up and is currently slightly bum high so looking for the perfect home where Melvin is going to be given the time he needs to develop into the super horse I know he will be.

He loves to hack, weather that’s alone or in company, first or last. He would be a great one for pleasure rides as he really enjoys being out and about. Good in traffic and open spaces, stays in a rhythm that the rider is comfortable with, never silly or strong.

Melvin is a laid back lad that’s good to do in all ways, he has an affectionate and loving personality, just a general nice horse to have around. Enjoys being groomed and fussed, loves any sort of attention. A real kind level headed genuine horse that is a pleasure to own.
