Poppy is a bright eager to learn rising 6 year old mare. She's not been rushed but had a gentle, kind introduction to schooling, jumping, shows, busy university livery, ridden by lots of different riders and shows adaptability and masses of potential.
We have put lots of work into the basics of groundwork, she is a dream to handle, boxes easily, happy with the farrier, loves being groomed and fussed.
She is now being ridden 3-4 times weekly, hacking out in a group as a lead horse with lots of confidence and pleasure, but will also go out alone with a walker at a distance behind, with time she will become an independent hacker. She is jumping weekly now, learning her paces , beginning to do the basic in dressage.
She is not a beginners horse because of her age and potential - she needs to be brought on to the next level by an experienced rider. She is going to make a fabulous all rounder.
She has been on a busy university livery yard for 2 years and so is happy in an in/out routine but then spends summers out 24/7 relaxing and hacking.
We have had Poppy for 3 years and brought her on from just being broken. We've done this gently, kindly and given her breaks to just be a young horse. Consequently she is ready and eager and very trusting of people.
It is a very sad sale but my daughter is needing to focus on her studies, wants to travel and has found being at university with a horse too much.
