Extremely hard sale of our lovely, Lenny - 16.2 7year old Warmblood x ID gelding.

He is as lovely on the inside as he is out. Very smart rich chestnut, with four white socks and stripe and turns heads everywhere he goes.

He came from Ireland two years ago to us and I have simply loved every minute with him.

On arrival he was green and needed some time to mature. Since then he has been given lots of time with ridden work and breaks in between and hasn’t been rushed. Because of this he is now a well rounded, level headed and happy horse.

He is well schooled with two outings at unaffiliated novice, judged by a BD judge with over 70% each time.

His jumping career, whilst limited, is proving willing. We started jumping more this year and he has proved sensible and willing on every occasion. We have been SJ schooling, clinics, lessons, xc schooling and whilst still green in this area, nothing has fazed him.

He hacks alone or in company. He isnt a huge fan of certain traffic, but this is primarily due to the busy fast road where we live, and as such I don’t tend to hack the roads unless we box away from home for hacking. He isn’t worried to go alone or in company and isn’t clingy.

He will happily travel anywhere - loads well in a lorry or trailer and is happy to stand at a show.

He is not good to clip.. but with time and patience I feel this would get better.

Good to shoe, lives out with mares and geldings.

I do everything on my own with him.
He is well mannered on the ground and to handle.

He has been ridden by everyone from novice to experienced but I wouldn’t sell him as a novice ride due to his age and size. Saying that he has looked after everyone and has stolen many hearts!

He hasn’t hunted as it’s not something I’ve done for many years but I believe he would make a mannerly and fun hunter.

Although he is tall, he is compact and rideable. I am only 5’3 and don’t find him too big!

He is a really fun horse who would excel as a high end riding club/event allrounder. Doesn’t need riding every day!

He is adored by everyone who knows him. He would suit a family for mum, dad, daughter/son - Or anyone wanting a quality, fun horse! Especially if you want to look super smart doing it!

This is a really difficult thing for me to do. For sale through absolutely no fault of his own. His home is so important and I would be more than happy for him to be tried as much as needed (within reason) happy to bring him to venues etc.. Cornwall/Devon.

We are not far Newquay airport and we can provide over night stay in our Shepards hut if needed.
