- One not to be missed
This mare is a riders future champ!! She has been produced slowly with her future in mind and not been overjumped or overworked. She was only brought into work at age 6 and has been jumping for the past 12 months showing amazing scope and promise. She is a great stamp of a Welsh and receives nothing but good positive comments from the judges at shows.
Jen is a perfect allrounder and can turn her hooves to anything, she’s extremely willing and always eager to please, she rides in a lovely outline and has 3 loose and lovely paces, she is a typical welsh mare and has an attitude which she likes to show around other horses but once she has got to know them she will happily groom and graze with them in the field. She will throw in an occasional buck but they are not nasty she just sometimes gets a little too excited with her work.
Jen will jump anything she is put in front of, she is honest and is not phased by fillers, hedges, water, logs the lot, she completed her first show season last year finishing the season overall with 2 seconds in SJ and WH, Qualified for Sweet Meadows Championships x2 came 4th out of 57 at the first one and not competed in the second qualifier as yet. She was entered into the SEIB Search 4 a Star competition last year early in her flatwork and jumping career and was placed 7th out of a large class in Riding Pony narrowly missing the top 6 by just 2 points taking all the atmosphere in her stride.
She is good for the farrier, will hack alone or in company with a confident rider, she is nervous of the clippers but is getting better with them and had a full clip only requiring to be twitched when it came to clipping her head, she loads well but sometimes likes a 5 minute stand on the ramp first (opinionated welsh mare trait) before just walking in but again this is becoming less and less the more she goes out. Been on beach rides, arena hires and is snaffle mouthed at all times.
Jen would suit a confident, competitive light handed rider, she does not enjoy a rider flapping about on her back and pulling on her mouth and will resist. This mare will go very far in the right hands as she has oozes of potential which she has shown in her first year of competing.
She is seen by the physio every quarter, has regular acupuncture, and sea salt and water therapy, fully passported, up to date with teeth vaccinations etc no lumps or bumps, she has had the best start in life and is ready to take someone on their journey in whichever field they choose.
This is an extremely hard sale so please no timewasters or day riders, we are in no rush so she will only go the right person and homes will be vetted. She has some minor vet history which will be discussed with serious enquiries only. She is open to vets/trainers etc and comes with tack and a full wardrobe.
