Yougi

A beautiful 15.1hh skewbald irish gelding, 4 years old.

Yougi has a beautiful temperament and is a very easy horse to have on the yard. He settles really well, hasn’t been bothered by horses moving round the yard or being turned out while he’s in etc. Easy to muck out around, polite, good to groom, bath, handle, tie up, load and travel, shoe. He is a really nice person and i love spending time with him. He’s such gentle sole!

Yougi hacks alone and in company, up front or behind, will hack on the buckle, great in open spaces, he will stand while another horse canters off. He has been good with the traffic he’s seen here so far.

He has 3 nice paces in the school and moves really nicely. Stands to mount from block or the ground. Climb on from a gate on on hacks.

We have taken him to arena hires, cross country schooling, lessons and dressage. To which he behaved really well. He isn’t stressed by travelling or going to a new place so is a joy to take out and about. Will tie to the trailer and relax while the lorry park is busy. Easy to load and travel on your own.

I have just taken him to Radfords equestrians beginners one day event 25/05/25. Which he placed 3rd out of 12. Perfectly behaved as always on outings. Videos available.
He has competed in dressage intro 2 scoring 63.18. Intro 3 scoring 67.3 and most recent Prelim 1 scoring 67.4 percent. 7/06/25.

Yougi has jumped show jumps, cross country jumps, ditches, been through water and is brave and confident, there is plenty of ability for him to be a fantastic low level all rounder. He has in no way been over jumped hes jumped a small number of times here and incredibly genuine and sensible with it.

Ideally some one that can walk trot and canter independently. He is an easy horse and would suit an array of riders, no nastys what so ever! He is a delight in every way.

He would be suited to a mother/ daughter share or a small adult wanting to hack, have lessons, clinics, riding club, pony club, dressage and such like….he is already doing this. I can honestly say horses dont come as easy as him, i m so impressed with his attitude and maturity in everything.

He is up to date with shoes, wormer, teeth and vaccinations. Viewings available sy22. Open to vets and trainers. No vices.
