Star, our much loved 12.2 Dartmoor Pony
- Great to hack, forward and fun. She is off the leg, but not strong, and always ridden in a snaffle.
- Star has a cracking jump and could be an amazing jumping pony for a confident, capable child.
- Potential to make a great pony club pony with an experienced and capable family to bring her on.

Star is our 12.2 Dartmoor pony. We have had her for 2 fun filled years but unfortunately my girls have now outgrown her. Star is a real character who loves attention and cuddles. She makes us laugh on a daily basis!
She is 8 years old but still relatively low mileage. Star has a cracking jump in her but needs more work to bring this on. She could be an amazing jumping pony for a keen and confident child. She is off the leg, but not strong, and always ridden in a snaffle. She does over-jump occasionally and can put in an excitable bunny hop/buck so not suitable for a novice. She is currently being trained by a professional trainer each week and is coming on very quickly.
She is great to hack, forward and fun, but not strong or silly. Happy to slot in anywhere on the ride and I happily let my daughters hack out together on their own and with friends. However, she can occasionally be nappy in the school or out on her own on a hack. When she naps she plants but not anything nasty. She just needs a confident, capable rider to send her forward.
She lives on a busy farm so is used to large machinery and dogs. She is good in traffic out on hacks.
She is great for the farrier and is barefoot
She is great to clip
Brilliant for the dentist and the vet for vaccinations (up to date with Flu and tetanus)
Loves being groomed, pampered and fussed.
She has been on a handful of outings which she really enjoyed - PC beach ride, a couple of pole work clinics and PC ground work rallies, and a couple of shows where she behaved well.
We would love to stay in touch with her new family and ideally would like her to stay in the South West.
Please do message me for more information - we have loads of pictures and videos. This is my daughter's instagram, @the.grey.dartmoor which shows all the lovely memories we have made with Star.
