Beaumont Walentina is a well bred young dressage prospect, from Beaumont Stud in the UK. She is a pink papered British Hanoverian by Woodlander Wavavoom, a Hanoverian licensed and performance tested stallion, who at the age of 18 last year was still going strong at small tour level. Wavavoom was chosen as her sire as he tends to pass on his outstanding temperament and work ethic to his offspring, as well as longevity and soundness. Her mother Zsa Zsu is an elegant, modern type Hanoverian mare out of Limoncello, and by Blue Hors Zack. Zack is one of the most influential modern sport horse sires, with numerous licensed stallions in his offspring including triple world horse champion Sezuan. Zack himself represented Denmark at the World Equestrian Games winning team gold in 2022, and competed at the Tokyo Olympics and in the World Cup. He is known for passing on his rideability and temperament. In 2023 Zack was ranked second in the WBFSH's world rankings for dressage stallions.
At the British Hanoverian annual show in 2024 Walentina won the prestigious mare families class, along with her mother Zsa Zsu and half sister Fernanda (who was also the champion yearling filly). She was also graded into the main BHHS studbook, with her good walk gaining a mark of 8.
Walentina was professionally backed as a 4 year old by event rider Amelia Walker then turned away to grow and mature. She was rebacked by Amelia in November / December last year and came home to continue her education in January 2025. Since then she has been slowly and correctly produced, gaining strength and experience with Jayne Sandiford, a local young rider.
Walentina has a big walk and a large, naturally uphill canter. Normal riders can sit to her trot, which will develop further as she matures. She is loose through her back, has a good head - neck - shoulder connection and is naturally willing, with a forwards energy that judges will love.
She has been to lessons at different arena hires, hacked out round our farm and round the local village in light traffic, proving to be brave and forward thinking and she particularly enjoys pole work. She has a very trainable temperament and a great attitude for a young horse. I would describe her as a confident youngster and not particularly spooky, coping well with new places and things. She has never been pushed hard or held together, but been allowed to find her own balance. Please note that she is still green for her age as she has not been pushed and therefore she is not the finished article.
Physically, Walentina is still a young, quite weak horse, but she will strengthen up with the correct work and as her frame matures. She is a shade under 16.2hh and will probably grow a little taller and will definitely fill out. Walentina is up to date with vaccinations, farrier (fronts only at the moment), dentist, worming and worm counts and has recently had a routine veterinary physio (notes available to a purchaser). She has travelled well by herself in my trailer a number of times.
She has a full set of clean x-rays taken in late Autumn 2024 before re-backing and these will be made available to a serious purchaser.
Walentina is very people oriented and loves a fuss made of her. She wants to be your best friend. Currently goes out in the daytime with a few other mares and in at night, but is happy to go out at night and in during the day. Exceptionally tidy in the stable. She has always had daily turnout with company and ideally her new owner will be able to provide this.
Walentina is now ready to go to someone who will treasure her and allow her to develop her natural talent further. Not yet competed, but with a little more work and strength she will be ready to start her career. A serious prospect for a competent amateur. She is offered for sale by me as her breeder at a competitive price (less than the overall costs of breeding her and getting her to this stage) in the hope that she finds a talented and loving person who wants a horse with lots of potential that has been correctly started, but does not cost mega bucks. Situated in Northants close to the M1 and A43.
