Fawkes has 3 very smart and easy paces, could do pure dressage and will be competed at qualified for Petplan this winter if not sold. Previously 3rd at Novice level at the South West inter-counties. Rarely outside the top 5 after dressage eventing. Light in the rein and ridden off the seat with ease.

Can have a pole show jumping above 1m but rarely more than one. It is the current riders weakest phase after losing trust on other horses - Fawkes is extremely genuine and used to a miss! He won't hold it against you and will come round again the same.

In his element on cross country. Makes even the toughest BE100 feel like 60cm, point and shoot! Doesn't get strong, will hold whatever pace you set. As long as he knows where he's going he will get you round safely.

Fawkes is grumpy with his rugs and saddle but never nasty. Leads in a bridle like a sedated donkey but in a headcollar likes to pick and choose what grass he would like to eat. Extremely easy to handle and manage with minimal adjustments. I have taken him to many events solo and he is the easiest thing on the ground and on top - he loves his person honestly but doesn't want to make it too obvious. Good to shoe, little ticklish to clip in places, good to catch, good to hack on the road and in fields. Can hack in company though given our set up he's often out with friends.

Would suit a soft handed, empathetic and competent rider looking for a quality amateur horse to give great jumping experience. I'm hoping to watch him win Badminton Grassroots BE90 one day with his new forever home! Doesn't need drilling in the school, can be picked up on a weekend for an event and hacked/schooled/in the field through the week. No novice riders - he is still a fit competition horse and intelligent so needs someone with handling experience.

Very competitive price due to unclean x-rays. Changes on his hocks seen previously. Doesn't affect performance - won his last event out - but hence reduced price. Excellent trial facilities available.
