Reier Van Marije (Rossi)

Rossi is a 16.1hh, 12 year old Friesian bred in Holland and imported to the UK by ourselves aged 4 years. He was lightly backed in Holland and has continued his education with ourselves and a professional coach. He has been slowly and carefully produced and is relatively low mileage for his age.

He has 3 correct paces with natural impulsion and expression typical of the breed. He is talented and very trainable and is a pleasure to ride and work with, and takes confidence from the rider.

Rossi has competed up to medium level in pure dressage, and dressage to music with British Dressage and British Riding Clubs.

He is established at elementary level and developing his strength at medium. He has competed at BD Pet Plan Area Festivals and his best placings were 1st Elementary Music and 2nd Medium Music, and has been to the championships at Arena UK.

Qualified for the British Riding Clubs music championships every year for 5 years, winning the novice FSM, 9th and 10th Elementary FSM.

He rides at all levels in a snaffle bit.

In 2019, he attended the FHAGBI inspections in England, and achieved a 2e Premie Star, and also won his gelding class, and then went on to be reserve champ.

He also won the IBOP class, and was overall IBOP champion for both England and Scotland, scoring the highest score.

Rossi has also been awarded Sport Predicate by the KFPS.

He is a lovely hack and goes out in company at our local woods. He has not done any road work with traffic for no reason other than the roads are too busy locally, so we box up to hack.

He is very good to load, with the farrier and dentist, and also very good to clip. He has no vices, and is sound in wind and limb. He is very easy to do in every way, both at home and at competitions. Owned for 8 years and has never been un-sound. Full vet's history available.
