Wanted - Dressage Horse

• Middleweight Types only - nothing too narrow. Prefer a horse with shoulder!
• Min 5yo

Serious amateur seeking new best friend!

Minimum 16.2hh (would take a little smaller if they are slightly bulkier!)
5-8yo (happy if they're a little older and have a record)

Prefer middleweight types which have a bit of bulk and shoulder. I don't like horses that are narrow and like sitting on a knife edge as they just don't suit me!

Not fussed as to whether mare or gelding but would prefer a horse that isn't grey!

I am open to ideas as to breeding and what they have done, but am looking for a horse to produce up the levels and has that little bit of sparkle.

My only non-negotiable is that they must be a nice person. While I am aware this may take time with a younger horse, I have a young child (who adores the horses so there will be an endless supply of cuddles as she gets older!) who spends a lot of time on the yard with me.

My current horse has taken me up to Small Tour level and we have trained up to Grand Prix. While we may not have been the most competitive, we have had a fantastic time together and now as he gets a little older, I would like to enable him to do the levels he feels most comfortable at without pushing him.

I would love a horse that will allow me to progress up the levels again and be a little more competitive and I am willing to put in the work to do so.

We can offer a private 5* home on a quiet, peaceful yard, where horse will want for nothing and enjoy a life with plenty of variety.

Sensible budget for the right horse, but not huge.
