Lucky is a 15.2hh, 13-year-old grey mare and a true allrounder. She’s been in the same loving home for the last 5 years and has turned her hoof to just about everything.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m offering my lovely mare, Lucky for Sale, as I’m off to university to study veterinary medicine and won’t have the time she deserves.

• Good to load, shoe, clip and catch
• Respects electric fencing and doesn’t get marish
• Generally very sound and not prone to lameness
• Calm and level-headed, with no vices
• Comes with full wardrobe

She has done:

• Beach rides
• Team chasing
• Inter Hunt team relays
• Pony Club team & individual competitions
• Hunter trials (individual & pairs)
• Lots of bareback jumping and Hacking
• Showjumping (competed successfully up to 90cm, but schooled higher)
• Hacks alone or in company, first or last
• Good with traffic, dogs, children and other horses
• Hunted with the Cambridge University Drag Hounds – jumps sensibly out hunting.
• She is mostly ridden in a snaffle, though sometimes requires a stronger bit when excited out hunting.

She has also:

• Attended Pony Club camps for 3 years and attended lots of rallies and training sessions – often the “sensible one” used for bandaging practice, etc.
• She has been ridden bareback for hacking and jumping – always calm and safe.
• Had beginners ride her and has been very kind and careful, though she would suit a more experienced rider to get the most out of her and have fun.
• Despite her calm nature, don’t mistake her for being dull – Lucky is brave, strong, and honest. She has a big heart and loves her job.

We’re in no rush to sell and she will only go to a five star home. Lucky is very special, her next person must be too (home is more important than price so if she is priced too high please contact me anyway)
