Valmy’s Lando ("Lando") is a 2019 British-bred, 15.2hh gelding with exceptional breeding and even better temperament. By Valmy de la Lande (Mylord Carthago), Lando is Grade C and ready to start his competitive career properly.

This is a heartbreaking sale of a homebred horse we’ve backed and produced ourselves. Unfortunately, with university and an upcoming move to London, I no longer have the time to give him the attention and opportunity he deserves.

Lando has been lightly competed due to university commitments, but every time out he's shown natural talent and impeccable behaviour. He’s balanced, smart, brave, and incredibly level-headed, making him a brilliant eventing or grassroots all-rounder prospect. Although we haven't been able take him properly XC schooling yet, he has happily popped round our cross-country fences at home and been through the river - I am extremely confident he would make a superb eventer.

His lovely flatwork also means he’d shine in a dressage arena. Always ridden in a snaffle, even when jumping, he’s an honest and genuine gentleman, a dream to have on the yard and a pleasure to ride.

Lando would be best suited to a confident rider looking to bring on and have fun on a talented young horse.

5* home is an absolute must. We are incredibly proud of Lando and excited to see him go on to fulfil his potential.
