Mackney is an absolutely fantastic young horse. He is 16.1hh on the stick, 4 years old, irish draught x irish sports horse (no recorded breeding).

He has recently come over from ireland where he has been produced to a good standard. We have been schooling and taking him out to venues and bringing him to a place he’s ready to find his person.

He would be suited to many disciplines, he has a super jump, real point and go, brave, honest and bold. Takes you in to a jump, very genuine and easy. Happily popping 100cm sj and xc scope for plenty more, he is not phased by fillers, water trays, loud wings, water.

Dressage- We have just taken him to his first prelim test where he scored 69.4% and was a delight the whole time from plaiting up to loading, the warm up, test and afterwards. He has plenty of ability to go up the levels in dressage. Very nice transitions and balance in all his paces already and very level headed. He is an easy horse to load up on your own and go. Hacking, he is absolutely solid in traffic, we have passed tractors, buses, trucks and trailers and he is really confident, also fine to hack alone or in company.

He mixes well with other horses and is easy to have on the yard. Comes over in the field, very easy to catch. He is a super young horse to perform well in any sphere. Equally be suited to some one wanting a horse to hack, fun ride and such like. He has the ability to do well in many things and go up the levels but that doesn’t mean he needs to, he isn’t a hot horse he would also be a super leisure horse.

On the ground he is easy to lead around, ties up, good to groom, muck out around, not at all bargy or rude. Lovely chap with good manners.

He would suit an array of riders, a superb eventing prospect, hunter, SJ, dressage,
Ultimate allrounder, superb leisure horse. He is a horse that seems to find each discipline easy. Absolutely fantastic sort.
