Exciting and genuine mare combining top-class breeding, natural scope, rideability and a super temperament.
Tilly is by the legendary Tangelo out of a Calvados mare who jumped to 1.30m, from a proven dam line producing multiple 1.30m+ horses.
A slightly late starter due to having a foal, she has come on very quickly and is now progressing confidently through the levels.
She has recently jumped double clear in Foxhunter and is showing real consistency, carefulness and quality in the ring. She is low in points as she only began her jumping career last year, leaving her eligible for a wide range of classes moving forward.
She is confidently schooling at home around 1.30–1.35m, and feels as though she has scope for 1.40m classes with time and experience. Careful, rideable and naturally adjustable she has never stopped, is very genuine to a fence and is not spooky at fillers.
She would suit a good junior coming off ponies or capable amateur, equally competitive for National, Silver League/COH classes.
Versatile and straightforward, she has also cross-country schooled very well, confidently jumping water, steps and ditches at the first attempt. On the flat she is established and correct. Works in a snaffle with balanced paces, lateral work and flying changes.
Kind and easy to manage in all ways. She is straightforward to produce and stays consistent whether ridden daily or after time off. She has enough blood to be competitive but is not spooky or sharp. Good to hack alone or in company including heavy traffic. Excellent to shoe, load/travel, and will stand on the lorry alone or with company. Lives in or out. No history of injury or illness, only ever seenVet for routine vaccinations.
A very special mare offering a rare combination of ability, temperament and versatility. While straightforward, she is a serious competition horse and not suitable for a novice home.
5 star experienced home required where she can continue to develop and fulfil her potential.
5-stage vetted with excellent X-rays at 4 years old. Open to any inspection.
