Casa Tweedy is an impressive gelding with a lovely, solid type with strong dressage lines on both sides of his pedigree. By the Oldenburg stallion Casanova VI, who evented to 3* & showjumped to 1.40m before injury, and out of Lady Gaga (by Telstar), he combines quality breeding with a willing and genuine temperament. His bloodlines bring together athleticism, scope and expressive paces, giving him the credentials to progress in dressage or eventing.

Tweedy has a varied education, having been to unaffiliated dressage competitions, arena hire showjumping, clear round events and XC schooling. He has also done plenty of hacking, both alone and in company, and schools confidently at home and in away environments. He has been ridden by a competent 14-year-old but equally steps up for a professional, making him a versatile and straightforward ride.

On the ground he is mannerly and easy to deal with in all respects: good to shoe, clip, load, travel, tie up, and to turn out alone or with others. He has no vices, blemishes or injuries, and X-rays are clean. The only point to note is that he can occasionally be cold backed if not kept in consistent work; he never bucks but may tighten his back on mounting, and once warmed up he works beautifully.

Tweedy would make a cracking all-rounder and has the paces and breeding to progress as a dressage horse. He is ready for someone to put their own stamp on him and continue his education. We think he has great potential in whatever he goes on to do.

Tweedy does need an experienced rider, no novices.
