7yr Old 14.3hh Mare Looking for a New Home

This sweet but nervous little mare is looking for a knowledgeable 1-1 home where she can go right back to basics. History unknown, so she needs someone patient, experienced, and with plenty of time to bring her on at her own pace.

The Positives:

Stands to be groomed and will happily let you pick out her front feet

Tacks up (can be a little funny with the bridle as she is head shy)

Has started lunging ready to come back into work and is slowly getting the hang of it

Loads and travels

Stood for farrier to remove front shoes and trim.

Follows you around school like a puppy.
 

The Challenges:

Can be difficult to catch unless confined (we have 30acre field)

Tricky to mount

Nervous once on and sharp of leg.

She has been out of work for a few months as she needed fattening up when I first got her. Sadly, I don’t have the time or confidence to give her what she needs, which is the only reason she’s available.

She is NOT a novice ride – she will only suit an experienced and confident person who enjoys starting from scratch and has the time and patience to help a sensitive horse flourish.
