There are some ponies who simply make life better — who teach, who give, and who quietly turn a child into a confident, capable rider. Luna is one of those ponies.
Beautiful, bright-eyed, and full of presence, Luna has been a wonderful partner to my daughter for the past two years.
Together, they’ve travelled the Pony Club circuit — from rallies and junior camps to senior stay-aways and beyond — learning, laughing, and achieving more than we ever imagined.
A Partnership to Be Proud Of
- When Luna first arrived, my daughter was happily popping 40cm fences.
- Two years later, she’s confidently tackling 70–80cm show jumping and cross-country courses — a testament to Luna’s safety, talent and ability.
Luna has a real sparkle about her: enough to be competitive, kind enough to forgive, and clever enough to know when to help her rider out. She’s the sort of pony that gives everything she has.
Highlights
Dressage
- Individually qualified for the NSEA Championships at Hickstead multiple times
- Regularly schooled by a professional, maintaining softness, rhythm, and balance
Show Jumping
- Qualified multiple times for the NSEA Grassroots Championships (2024 & 2025)
- Competed at the NSEA Grassroots National Finals, Hickstead 2025
- Countless placings and wins at unaffiliated competitions.
- Naturally talented with auto changes and a stylish, careful jump, with scope for more.
Cross Country
- Brave and honest, confidently schooling 70/80cm courses
- Straight, genuine, and loves her job
Hacking
- Luna is a joy to hack, safe and steady alone or in company
- Sensible in all traffic and open spaces
A Pony with Presence
- With her gleaming golden coat and striking Welsh Section B breeding — including Lemonshill, Downland, and Rotherwood — Luna has all the elegance and movement to turn heads in the show ring.
- We’re not a showing family, but there’s no doubt she has the class and conformation for Working Hunter Pony or HOYS-level potential (her full sister qualified this year).
At Home
- Luna is sound, fit, and healthy. She lives out with access to a stable in winter, is barefoot with superb feet, and is beautifully mannered in every way. My daughter handles her entirely — from grooming to loading — and she clips without sedation.
- She travels in both trailer and lorry and stands quietly at competitions, taking everything in her stride.
The Next Chapter
- We have plenty of photos and videos to share — but truly, Luna is best appreciated in person. She has a presence that cameras can’t quite capture: that quiet confidence, that kind eye, that feeling she’s part of your team.
This is a very sad sale of a much-loved pony who has given us everything. We would love to find her the very best home — one where her next rider will treasure her just as much as we have.
