This is a very sad sale as I’ve owned Darcy since she was a 3-year-old. Due to a change in circumstances, I’m now looking for a kind, permanent home for her where she will be well cared for and enjoyed.

Darcy is well-schooled and works nicely on the flat, producing a lovely dressage test, scores in the high 60s to mid 70%. Would also make a lovely riding horse.

She’s happiest with a varied routine; light schooling once or twice a week combined with hacking, pole work, fun rides, or trips to the beach or gallops. She isn’t suited to a jumping-focused home, though she will pop small fences occasionally for fun.

Darcy does not need to be ridden every day, but she isn’t suitable for a novice. Out hacking she is forward-going and needs a confident, reassuring rider. She’s been out of consistent work since July (new yard has no surface), but she is straightforward to bring back into work.

I’m looking for someone who will give her time, attention, and a long-term home. She has a lot to offer the right person as a genuine, kind mare to enjoy.

Good to box, shoe and clip.

Hacks out alone or in company.

Turns out alone or in company (mixed or otherwise).

No vices.
