Devastating sale of a one in a million mare due to needing to cut back
We bought Pippa from Ireland at the beginning of the year where she had been professionally produced for two seasons, she had many wins in Ireland under saddle, she is an old head on young shoulders and is easy to do anything with.
Pippa is the ultimate allrounder, she loves hacking alone or in company and is good with everything she meets, she will go for miles on the buckle with her ears pricked and she adores water. She has attended fun rides this summer with my novice husband and was foot perfect.
On the ground she is as easy as they come, good to load, travel, shoe, catch, turnout etc, never mareish, we muck out around her and lead her in and out with our geldings. Amazing to clip and bath (I do her alone without a head collar and I am 5ft)
To ride Pippa is forward going and eager to please, she loves her work and is super trainable with 4 very good paces, not spooky or sharp but she is not a plod, snaffle mouthed with no gadgets. She requires minimal working in at competitions and she loves going out and about. She has huge potential for dressage and is working elementary at home, never done BD but has done several unaffiliated tests never scoring less than 70%. She is no different if she is ridden every day or after a few days off. Pippa is super safe and I have used her to give my novice husband lessons where she drops down a gear and looks after him beautifully
This season she has done a handful of competitions, she was reserve light horse at South West Pony, she did one HOYS qualifier at the July Stoneleigh where she was 5th in the Coloured class (only amateur) and 6th in the LW cob class with excellent comments from both ride judges, we feel once she has finished maturing that she will be a definite hoys contender. She is beautifully marked and moves straight.
Pippa loves jumping and is a true sports cob, she successfully took a dressage rider round her first course in 20 years gaining a 4th in arena eventing in a class of 17. She is bold, brave and scopey and would also do the working cob classes
Whilst Pippa would undoubtedly continue to be a top class competition horse she would also make the most amazing mother / daughter or son share or just a safe quality allrounder for someone to enjoy
Our plan was to hunt her this season, of which I am sure she will love and excel at. Pippa is overstamped with CHAPS.
This is a truly heartbreaking decision as we know how difficult she would be to find again.
She is priced accordingly, please WhatsApp me in the first instance.
