Bear (Ballykean Quality) is a very attractive horse by the prestigious stallion OBOS Quality.

He is bred for the job with good conformation and three correct paces. He is nicely schooled and works into a lovely soft outline. Judges love his natural rhythm and presence, often scoring in the 20s at BE90 and BE100.

Bear had a successful BE record with his previous rider including multiple wins and placings at BE90 and BE100. He was also DC and placed 5th in a BE novice.

He passed a 5 stage vetting when his current owner purchased him in April 25, however he has proven to be the wrong fit for his current owner who purchased him as a happy hacker to get back into riding.

Bear loves to jump and is bold and brave. We feel he would make a great hunter or teamchaser, or would go back up the levels of eventing with someone confident. He is not sharp or quirky but he is not suitable for a novice or nervous rider as he will take the mick if allowed.

He is a horse who needs a job and he is more than capable for someone who is willing to bring him back up to speed. He does need a confident and competent rider as he can be cheeky and have a fly buck when fresh.

He likes to hack, goes alone and in company and has passed tractors and hedge cutters whilst on sales livery with no problem. However he is not bombproof in traffic and is better if he can follow another horse or stand in a lay-by when passing farm traffic.

He has very nice manners in the stable and is a real gent. He has a kind natured and has a loving temperament. Very easy to do. Loads and travels well.
