Bathleyhills Sea Cougar (LB) is a German Riding Pony with her passport overstamped bt the WPCS. She is a stunning mare that is capable of turning her hooves to pretty much anything. Her focus has been on flatwork as that is the foundation of everything anyway.
LB has been very successful in limited outings winning at Prelim, Novice and Elementary unaffiliated as well as winning and placing at Novice level British Dressage. She has won 14 BD points in a short space of time, and gone straight in at Novice, so there is scope for someone to have a lot of fun qualifying for Prelim Bronze BD as well as topping up Novice scores for regional or AF. LB is still eligible for My Quest and Team Quest Prelim
She is schooling leg yield, shoulder in, travers, half pass and simple changes at home.
LB is a forward thinking ride but snaffle mouthed in everything that she does.
She is a keen bean jumping and will take you in to a fence, however she can be adjusted. She is capable of jumping 1m tracks once a rider was familiar with her, but she would go around a 70cm quite happily straight away I should think.
She has done a SJ show with me taking me into the fences even though it was a new arena to her and she’d never been faced with anything like that before (my other half insisted I put her in the 90cm and 1m class).
She has schooled xc (although not recently) and did an Express eventing outing on grass a couple of years ago, where she went clear XC.
Due to my time commitments (and through no fault of her own), LB has been very lightly competed.
LB has a clean set of limbs and I have been told could do SHP classes as well as being eligible for PB Welsh classes. Indeed as a foal she won the SHP classes and came 3rd in the Welsh Part bred class at the National foal show.
LB hacks alone or in company and has been good with the traffic that we have met and has hacked through significant flood water. She is a jolly fun type of pony.
In my ownership, LB hasn't reared or even bucked. That said, she is not dope on a rope and not suitable for novices.
Ideally I would like her new partner to have an interest in lots of different activities, but definitely flatwork .
I also want someone that wants to bond with their equine partner and indulge her love of cuddles.
LB has been unshod throughout my ownership, but has been shod in the past. She is good to have teeth done, up to date with vaccinations and worming.
LB occasionally weaves
