How do you go about introducing the most perfect pony in the world? This pony has defined my daughter’s childhood, given her confidence, allowed her to start her BE journey competitively and safely.
Bruno (Lackaghmore Vandango) is a complete schoolmaster who has been an integral part of our family and introduced my daughter to eventing, he has forged the most brilliant partnership with her and given her a superb foundation. She is not the perfect rider, she misses him sometimes, she is not the strongest as her health is not tip top but what they have achieved together has surpassed our expectations 10fold. He has shown her the ropes and put a smile on her face so many times but sadly now he is looking for his next person as my daughter appears to be growing like a weed and needs something bigger.
We purchased Bruno from Ireland as a Christmas present 2 years ago. At that point he had just finished his season as winner of the Eventing Ireland, Northern region 90cm league.
At home, Bruno is a complete poppet, my daughter does everything with him which is lovely, he is easy to handle and even my toddler can pootle around the school on him but at a competition he knows his job so he is definitely not for a novice rider, he is never naughty or unmanageable just competitive and keen. Has never been seen to buck, rear, bolt. Great to load/unload/stud/bath/farrier/dentist, we prefer to sedate to clip the back of his back legs as he is tickly and sometimes fidgets but it can be done without. Stands on the box all day and travels very well. Not the sick or sorry type, just ears pricked and ready to take on whatever we throw at him.
A great record and I can go through every result with potential owners, he has done BE 90, pony club rallies, pony club camp, spring festival and pony club champs 2 years running-he competed in the dressage and eventing this year and made the course look like a schooling round, he was incredible and finished his season with a brilliant 100 Cotswold cup round at Pontispool. He has done beach rides, hacks out alone and in company, was the lead pony for the South Molton Carnival…you name it, he has done it.
He would also be an incredible tet pony as he just loves the cross country and is so quick across the country.
