Dorlyn Contessa
Dorlyn Contessa or ‘Tessa’ is a 10 yo Welsh Section B Mare. She is superbly bred for the show ring with excellent confirmation and a floaty step.
In the 4 years we have owned her, she has turned her hoof to everything. From Working Hunter, Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping, Showing theres nothing she has not seen!
She has three lovely paces on the flat. She is forward going however is very responsive and is snaffle mouthed in all phases.
She jumps for fun, never says no and is incredibly brave and careful. She has show jumped with ease up to 90cm however has the potential to go further. She loves cross country and eats up the ground. Loves water, ditches banks etc and never second guesses.
She has brought home countless Working Hunter and Showing sashes. With an amazing step and presence, we believe she would be a superb 133cm HOYS WH contender. She thrives off of the atmosphere in an evening performance and doesn’t need earplugs, calmers etc.

Tessa has no vices, she is easy to deal with in all ways & currently barefoot. Perfect to hack, load, travel. She is straight and correct and is open to all vetting.
Although Tessa is sensible and safe, she needs a confident forward thinking rider as she loves her job!
