Where do I start with Don? He’s just a really cool dude. Fun, safe, and talented, with the kindest soul you could wish for.

Don has been owned and loved for the past four years by a petite teenage girl. Sadly, with her new horse and a full-time job in London, she no longer has the time to give Don the focus he deserves. This has been a heartbreaking decision for us all.

Don has three correct, expressive paces. With an experienced rider, he offers a forward, responsive, and enjoyable ride, while still coming back easily to your seat. With a less experienced rider, he happily drops down a gear and becomes “more woah than go.”

He has competed in unaffiliated dressage, regularly scoring 70%+ and was the overall Fawkham Prelim Series Winner.

In show jumping, Don shows great scope and a careful, genuine nature. He gives fences plenty of air and will always help you out if you get in a bit deep or long. He’s comfortably competed around 80–90cm courses and popped individual fences up to 1.10m at home.

With the right rider and continued correct training, there’s so much more potential waiting to be unlocked in this special boy.

He’s unfazed by buzzy show environments and is great at stay-away shows. Out hacking, he’s excellent in traffic and open spaces - occasionally a little looky, but always safe and sensible.

We’re looking for a competent, confident teenager or adult who wants to keep learning, having lessons, and progressing together as a partnership.
