Rio is a striking 6-year-old gelding with the talent, temperament and versatility to shine across multiple disciplines.

Lightly competed by myself and my 14-year-old son, he has already won classes up to 1m and shows clear scope to progress further with the right rider.

Brave, honest and naturally athletic, Rio has the movement, jump and mindset to excel in eventing or show jumping, while also having the quality for dressage.

He is straightforward and rideable, but he does need a rider who will ride him forward off the leg, he is very much more kick than pull. He’s snaffle-mouthed, responsive and keen to please, making him ideal for someone wanting to gain mileage, step up the levels and add value quickly.

He hacks confidently alone or in company, is unfazed by traffic, loads easily, stands quietly at shows and is excellent with the farrier and for vaccinations etc.

What really sets Rio apart is his exceptional temperament. He’s affectionate, easy to handle and mature well beyond his years—he truly doesn’t behave like a typical young horse. This makes him an excellent choice for a serious young rider, a parent/child share, or someone looking to produce a quality horse correctly for the future.
