Lotus is a 15.3h 10 year old dun fully regisistered ISH mare with super breeding by the famous Tullyabeg Fusion who is a top eventing stallion. She is a gorgeous girl who catches the eye where ever she goes with her golden colour and dapples. She is a lovely quality stamp with a nice depth of girth and substance to her body, yet still athletic. She has very good conformation, clean limbs and is straight moving. She is a lovely horse to have around with a golden temperament to match her colour.

Lotus has three super smart paces and is naturally very talented. She has real potential to excel at dressage with the right rider as she has a brilliant hind leg action and lots of impulsion. She is a forward going responsive ride who likes a confident quiet rider who has a bit of feel. She is the type of horse that likes to get to know her rider and forms a good bond. She is sensitive to the leg and therefore likes a very small leg aid where you almost just think up a gear and she goes. She also likes a balanced rider who has full control over their aids so she is not a novice ride. She definitely needs a confident experienced rider who can ride quietly and who is used to riding more sensitive horses. When she knows and trusts her rider she gives you an amazing feel. She really does have the “x factor” and is very intelligent so is perfect for someone looking for a talented horse to go far. 

She is currently ridden in a snaffle with a nice soft mouth. She is very good to mount- stands nicely at the block. She is also not at all spooky. She doesn’t buck or rear. She has done some unaffiliated dressage with a previous owner who found her to be a good forward going ride.

Lotus has jumped in a past home and showed scope and talent over a fence. She wasn’t at all spooky at fillers ect, she was very bold and forward going. She hasn’t done any jumping for a couple of years due to her current owners choices. I also haven’t jumped her as I’ve just brought her back into work after having the winter off due to her owner not having enough time and also not having enough finances to cover having her in working/sales livery. She definitely has the breeding and the potential to show jump and event but is not ready to go straight out and do this as she will need to form a bond with her rider on the flat first in my opinion. I have a video of her jumping a full course for anyone who is interested to see. She would be more if a summer project for someone wanting to jump.

Lotus is brilliant to hack both alone and in company. She is very good in traffic including Lorries and motor bikes. She is nicely forward going and will literally pass anything. She is very bold and confident in her own skin. She has been used to give less experienced horses a lead past scary objects. She went straight past a scary fire in a calm manner. She has been on pleasure rides which she loves and is so much fun. She would be very well suited to someone wanting to do lots of hacking and perhaps le trec and endurance too as she would go all day.

Lotus has a kind friendly temperament. She loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend. She is a good to handle in all ways. She is good to shoe, clip and load. She lives in and out and is happily turns out with mares and geldings. She is very quiet in the field and gets on well with all horses and ponies. She was turned out all winter in a mixed herd as her owner didn’t have the time for her so she is very hardy. She currently turns out overnight and comes in during the day. She is very sound and healthy and ready to crack on with a new owner.

Lotus will make someone a dream horse and form such a strong bond with her person. Finding the right person is very important to us. Strictly no nervous or novices riders. She is only offered for sale as her owner just doesn’t have the time for her anymore. I can see Lotus making someone a wonderful dressage horse. She would also suit a rider who wants a lovely hack/ pleasure ride horse/ le trec or endurance horse. She deserves a 5* long term loving home. She is priced at £8,950 to a good home, she is a lot of quality for this price. She would be double this price if she was a novice ride.
