VERY HONEST AND TRANSPARENT ADVERT
Henna (Bryncendl Ella) was purchased from the Royal Welsh Spring Sale May 2016 as a 2 year old and brought on quietly - i purchased her as a 4 year old. We have done all types of riding club activities including, jumping, arena eventing, XC, dressage, clinics, fun rides and more.
She's robust, straight forward day to day, never sick or sorry.
We turn out all year round, stabling at night during the winter, summer months she's usually out at night and in by day - we can mix her routine up and she's very cooperative.
Positives
100% to load (trailer, never tried a lorry)
Stands at the trailer with a hay net and doesn't get phased with the environment
Loads in the dark, ties up in the dark for winter clinics
100% to catch
100% farrier
100% clip
100% for routine dentist
100% to settle at stay away shows, camps or riding holidays (we've done lots of all 3)
Good but fidgety for routine Physio
Good in traffic, for heavier, bigger, farm like traffic i pop her in a gateway and she's fine, but as a responsible owner it's reasonable to point this out.
Due to work commitments (particularly in the winter) i can only ride at weekends and she's never fresh or silly - she might have the odd spook, ridden by a 51 year old lady who is confident but has no appetite for getting on a dragon in the winter.
Saddle, bridle and wardrobe included
Micro-chipped
Negatives
Henna has an allergy to mites - she's on immunotherapy treatment (1 injection a month) and has been for 16 months, happy to discuss this further and be assured it doesn't affect her way of going and is very manageable.
Fun rides - I've taken her on lots, if she's sat behind others she can be fizzy, no bucking/rearing just 'jig joggy' and strong in canter - pop her in front and she settles.
Hunting - i've hunted her several times - she's a fidget at the meet, and i wouldn't trust her with the hounds, she's strong if she's behind others.
Beach Rides - she's fine on the beach but doesn't like the waters edge / waves.
It's also worth pointing out she's Welsh, she's opinionated, can be bolshy / pull faces if she can get away with it.
Ideally i am looking for a light weight rider (i'm 5ft 4 and 9.7 stone) who's looking for a happy hacker - whilst i've had some success with jumping Henna (qualified for Area Champs combined training last September) she's a very inconsistent jumper, she stops, on a good day she's a steering job, on the same day she can stop - frustratingly she will almost always jump second time round but at my age i want something more reliable.
I have lots of videos i can share.
A kind knowledgeable home and a good feel for any prospective buyer is top of my list and open to fair offers if i feel the match is right for Henna and rider.
