Smartie is a super flashy horse with elegant paces and carry’s himself in an outline. He has competed at Prelim level and always scores well in the 70%

He has a very good jump, he will still take you to a fence but doesn’t over jump and is not spooky and is happy on any stride and always tries to help his rider out. He is super scopey, happily popping 1-1.10m courses at home and has jumped single fences of up to 1.30m. He’s been out to arena hires and been competed at 90cm SJ.

He loves his XC and pops through water, ditches and steps. He has been XC both on a surface and on grass. He has competed at 80cm ODE in ireland as well as hunting.

He is good to hack both on the roads and on bridle paths, and is good alone and in company. He is talented enough for someone more ambitious who wants to get out competing, would be good enough to go down the BS or BE route, and aim for Badminton Grassroots.

To handle, he is a real sweetheart, and a joy to have around the yard.
