Very flashy, kind and quiet mare that aims to please. ‘Tilly’ has the scope to suit a pure showjumping home whilst being talented enough to do exceptionally well in a dressage career. Quiet enough to be a mother/daughter share, an extremely competitive riding club horse or teenager’s dream ‘all rounder.’

Tilly is the most genuine and kind mare you’ll ever meet. She is great to shoe, clips without a head collar, loads well and is ridiculously easy to catch, often walking right up to you. She can be turned out individually or with others, however she is happiest when turned out with a group. She is very well mannered on the ground and could be lunged by anybody, in a head collar. Never silly or affected by horses acting up around her. She’s had a lot of work put into her on the ground, making her safe and unflappable in the face of “spooky” situations. Well mannered and safe to hack on the road, forest, beach etc. Happily hacks alone or in a group, regularly nannying young horses. Loves a canter but will happily stay at walk or trot and never becomes strong or excited.

Tilly has competed extremely successfully in Dressage Ireland competitions up to elementary level. She is almost never out of the top 3 placings and was both second in her division in the dressage Ireland national championship of 2024, and regional champion for the young rider division in 2024 also. She is eye catching and usually well favored by the judges. She has the potential to compete to a very high level with a rider who will take her all the way, while also being quiet and well schooled enough to be very competitive and fun to enjoy at novice and elementary levels .

Tilly has showjumped unregistered up to 1m, with ease and potential to go much further, whilst still being very happy to pop around an 80s round. She is forgiving and will help out her rider with strides, adding in and taking out whenever needed. She does everything in a rubber snaffle. Due to suspected mistreatment in homes before she came to us, it is important to that her next home understands that it is out of the question to use a whip for her while jumping.
