Irish Sport Horse x Welsh Cob. Classic native type. Cheap to keep, doesn’t need hard feed. No fancy lotions, potions or medications. Lives out or happy to come in at night.

Well behaved for the farrier/vet with excellent feet. Turns out with others or on his own.

Very smart with super clean legs and a lovely mover.

Was supposed to be my “sensible” purchase for mid-life but I want to go back to having thoroughbreds which I’ve had my whole life and just suit me better.

I’ve had him 9 months and he’s been out of work pretty much the whole time. He’s quite “welsh” to handle. He’s not naughty and would never bite, kick, buck or rear - he’s just quite strong and it’s not what I’m used to and I really don’t enjoy it.

The little riding I have done he was fabulous. Followed my husband’s bike off the yard very happily. Rock solid in traffic. Last sat on him just before Easter - can provide videos.

No time wasters. Only experienced, kind, adult homes who have had similar horses previously will be considered. References will be required.
