Round Tower Rambler (affectionately know as “Seamus” )
17.2hh | 5yo | Irish Draught Gelding
Grandsire: Silver Granite
If you’re searching for a proper stamp of an Irish Draught with real jumping talent, Seamus deserves your attention.
Standing at an impressive 17.2hh, Seamus is a traditional ID model with fantastic bone, presence and quality. Still only five and produced slowly and correctly, he already shows the makings of a very exciting horse for the future.
Over a fence he is naturally talented, careful and brave, with a beautiful shape and technique. He has free jumped 1.35m with ease, showing genuine scope and athleticism - the kind of ability you simply can’t train into a horse!
He offers three balanced, uphill paces, learns quickly and improves every time he goes out. Currently on professional training livery continuing his education.
In everyday life Seamus is sweet natured and loves a cuddle. He hacks alone or in company, stands quietly at the mounting block and takes traffic, farm machinery, dogs (including mischievous puppies!) and children in his stride.
Easy to manage and a pleasure to have around:
• Good to clip
• Happy living in or out
• Has attended arena hires
• Up to date with vaccinations, worming, dentist and chiropractic
Seamus has also benefited from groundwork and liberty training, so he is beautifully mannered and enjoys working with people. He thrives on praise and genuinely wants to please.
With his size, presence, temperament and jump, he has the potential to excel as:
• Showjumper
• Hunter or Eventer
• Quality all-rounder
• A very smart Masters horse
Due to his age, size and ongoing education he would suit a capable, confident rider who wants a young horse with serious potential to produce further. He is still young, and big, so not for beginners or nervous riders.
